- This honestly felt like an incredibly targeted attack. Bro was hunting me for nearly an hour, from 65% all the way to full grown, despite there being plenty of other tenos in the area. Even though he was clearly cheating, it's not too difficult to outsmart someone who tries to pay to win in The Isle.

How pathetic he must feel when he goes to bed and closes his eyes and realizes he cheats on a dinosaur game and that he sucks so much that not only does he need hacks to win, but he's so bad at the game that even with hacks he cannot win. I wouldn't want to wake up in the morning if I was him.
He certainly needs to reassess his priorities. Paying to win and still not winning is a special kind of skill issue xD
It's wild to me how many hackers there are on official servers. I've gotten killed so many times in east plains by hacking carnos that are just amassing the corpses of fresh spawns. Good job juking the guy, well done
I very seldom find them myself, but that's because I generally avoid hotspots where they're likely to hang out.

I got caught by a speed hacker once in the SP Sanctuary and he tried to speed hack his way out, but got trapped in the trees, so I kicked him to death lmao. Unfortunate that these kinds of skill-issue players are so prominent and that they feel the desire to hack a literal dinosaur game to feel accomplished XD

I didn't realize they were hacking until after the restart when they found me on my little cliff side or I definitely would have just switched servers. Silly buggers can be managed when they're not using range or damage hacks though. I found the cliffs to be an incredible asset in evening the playing field

That is why I never play on official servers. The absence of hackers on certain select unofficial servers tells me that when admins take immediate action the problem goes away. On the official servers, by contrast, the admins don't seem to give a tinker's cuss about game fairness.
It's always Carnos or Pachy's speedhacking. I may have run into this Carno before and he is doing the 1 call before appearing out of nowhere just like in your video. It almost seems like they are using 1 call as some sort of echo location.
Yup, always the carnos and pachys. Ceratos too I've noticed. Someone's stegos. Never tenos though, at least not that I've seen
Lucky this guy was alone. From other videos, some hackers operated in a mixed pack, with something like Omni or Pachy helping out in situations where they require jumping to reach their target. It was such a frustrating thing to watch...
Yeah, it would have been significantly worse if there were several. I probably wouldn't have made it out. Even if there had just been two carnos, on that first cliff side I was literally one face tank away from dying.
Even though the carno wasn't very good...with or without cheats ;v just in terms of the general situation you were in compared to your growth ~ you did an amazing job! :3
Yeah had I been larger I might have held him off better initially, but once I was grown and he turned on the speed hacks I hit him more than he hit me.

All good! I got away no worse for wear, my diets suffered a bit, but otherwise it was mostly just annoying to have to camp cliffs haha
Glad your story had a better ending than mine, I lost an 70%+ Stego to a speed hacking Stego a few months back, at first I was like “oh friend!”

@@superchrispiks yeah, I had a speed and esp hacking stego kill me back in my Spiro days while I was afk. Returned as a raptor to harass him for as long as possible before he zoomed away at lightning speed

@@Boots43096 Same here. I just play like a dinosaur and try to be chill out there and nobody has ever said anything to me. I have no idea what the rules even are. I am learning a few from other players but some, like mixpacking, are obvious. Anyways, my experience on semi realism has been the same as yours, good.

Out skilling them luckily isn't too difficult since most of them aren't good at the game anyway. But I'm definitely not opposed to making the playing field more even by using cliffs to my advantage

No, but I don't expect to. They're not allowed to discuss action taken
@@dinometta oh for real? On unofficial (legacy) they at least acknowledge that they saw it, which then usually means they'll take action. Oh well hopefully that carno gets ganked
i just got killed by two hacking ceras. was a sub adult carno so stam was good. they tracked me miles through jungle and never ran out of stam.

The replay info is also helpful for many but just so everyone knows before they wonder why this issue all of a sudden keeps happening (like i did xD) - There is a known bug with replay causing group names to not reappear once they go beyond and return into the max range distance for nametags.
Only way I've been able to fix it is relogging... (mainly sucks when there are long server Qs but getting the name/video proof of cheating for a report outweighs this imo)

I just don't understand hacking a dinosaur game where the only prize is reaching adulthood. Nobody thinks hackers are cool, so what do they gain by hacking? Maybe they are people who are looking to kill the game by being so annoying that the player base leaves?
@@CrazyCryptid07 some people seek to "win" by any means necessary. Rather than getting good at the game though, they'll take the easy way out and cheat instead. It's super dumb imo, and cheapens every kill they make

Yup, hit f2 to start recording and again to end the recording. Then go to the main menu and go to replays
It's sad that poepel need hacks to try to be good at video game but it's also sad that the devs aren't doing much to help the hacker problem it seems
Idk if it's just my INSANE luck, but on spiro and gateway I haven't once run into a hacker on The Isle. Like, I haven't even seen any, and I go to crowded areas and hotspots very often...

I've never seen one on gateway yet. Spiro it seemed like a daily occurrence...
i've heard of the damage, speed, stam, and health hacks but "esp"? from what this video tells me i guess it makes players... visible? what does it even do how can it possibly work *through* a mountain??
Esp makes your name and species(I believe) visible to them. Think like the names of group members, but with extra info. So they can see where you are no matter how well you hide and can track you through the thickest foliage.
Think the only way to escape is to get outside of their render distance, but once you're already a target you're unlikely to get far enough from them to escape.
It happend to me and my friend while we was pPchys with A Carno + A Pachy, The pachy knew where we was With No matter.
and he's Carno hacker friend lightspeed.

Nah, the admins aren't the hackers. Definitely recommend using replay to catch whoever they are

@@iYaiir replay usually isn't turned on on official servers, but it has been working since the most recent patch and I absolutely recommend taking full advantage

5:03 during this transition, how long did it take you to fully heal?? 🤣 I noticed your food and water looked the same so I guessed you were sitting the whole time, healing seems to be unnoticeable until youre sitting and you just check your character screen every couple of minutes, how did it feel to you?
(Weird question lol but Ive always felt weird about The Isle’s healing at least compared to something like path of titans, in path I feel like I can sit in a bush for a bit and heal quite a bit but in the isle it feels different, though now that I say that there are a lot of things that feel weird in each game despite being the same stuff if that makes any sense, for example sneaking up to someone in the isle feels better but less needed than in path of titans where you hear everything from a mile away, again if that makes any sense lol)
I'd have to check the raw footage, but it was probably 20-ish minutes I'd guess. Maybe longer. Teno food lasts for 60 minutes total
Also it didn't feel as long as it actually was. I was more worried about bro showing back up than healing

If I had a genie, one of my wishes would be to fix the hacking issues in this game. The only deterrent on this door is a sign that says, “please don’t enter”.
I have lost count of the number of times I have been one-shotted, chased to the end of the world, and spotted by a carno with military radars for horns. You can’t fully escape hacking in any game, but this infection is so extreme that you have to develop tricks to scan literally every player you come across because there is a decent chance that they want to ruin your fun for literally no reason. Much more energy should be put into minimizing these pathetic human beings, because this amount is seriously harming the gaming experience.
Yeah, there's a ridiculous amount of them. I haven't actually run across many myself, but I also generally avoid hot spots like the plague
Also how did you know another player reported them and also where CAN you report them on the discord? Its probably obviously stated in one of the channels lol but Im not on discord atm and wont be on at least till tomorrow and I also happen to be really bad at looking for things lol, also how did I JUST find out the key for replays or that people are even using them right now lol, suprised theres not a whole lot of replay documentaries like path of titans is having right now to be honest
I always watch the official discord for the branch of servers I'm on while I'm playing to stay up to date on reports of hackers or mixpacks that might be in my area on my server.
@@dinometta ah makes sense 🤣 I used to keep discord open when I played, od at least the path server I use for PoT, then started leaving YOUR discord open when playing isle 🤣 now I just close discord completely while playing either game just to avoid distractions and also having like 6 tabs open because my little itsybitsy ocd habits make me close specific tabs at a time if that makes sense 🤣
Probably the right thing to do keeping their identity hidden and going through the proper prosedures to report them...But honestly I would want to just out their steam ID. There are so many Hackers on officials that completely ruin the experience for others and practicaly make playing on anything but unofficals unbearable that I just don't care if they get whats coming to them. As an Australian player I get to choose between the one active official server full of hackers or the only few active unoffcials that are all EU based so I get over 300 ping :)
Also it is absolutely a skill issue. 90% of the time, even with hacks, these players are trash. 😂
Oh believe me I wanted to out them. It took all of my self control to go back and re-record the replay footage with their ID hidden(as is I'd recorded it initially for the admins) instead of just using that footage. But, the admins have it handled, I trust that they've already taken action and rid the game of this guy, at least until he makes a new account like they do.
Speed hacking as the fastest carnivore in the game (I think)... Thats not a skill issue, theres no skill there to begin with

The admins do take action. They can hundreds of hackers each month. Unfortunately, many of them simply make a new account and return within hours. Steam doesn't allow IP bans so it's very difficult to stop them when they're determined

The admins investigate hundreds of hackers each week and ban many of them. Unfortunately as steam doesn't allow IP bans, they simply make a new account and return within hours. Better anti cheat measures need to be implemented, but there's no perfect solution
@@dinometta yeah, that’s fair. I just wish the actual developers (not general game admins) would do more to fix this map before moving on to new ideas and game implementations. Each time I die in this game it’s 50/50 between hackers and just getting stuck somewhere. I have gotten stuck in holes so often, and just yesterday as Beipi I somehow got glitched into the side of a wall… but instead of killing me, I was just levitated to the top of a building lol. Better anticheat would be awesome and so would patching the holes and weird fake walls scattered in the map 😅 I don’t play super often so I’m sure I could figure out the no-go zones with time, but it’s still frustrating when you have no choice but to sit and wait to die of starvation/dehydration or hope that you grow big enough to escape your early grave 🥲
@@dinometta There is no anti cheat that cannot be bypassed. But it's just not only making a new account. Doesn't work fully like that. They have to buy the game again on that new account. So if they keep getting banned they will in most cases stop playing The Isle. Cause who want to keep buying the same game again and again.

I have to to avoid claimed of doxxing or whatever, I don't want the video taken down if the hacker comes across it and decides to claim that I shared his info and an angry mob came after him.
