I've had this yamaha f370 and my friend has f280, no sound difference, no quality different, the difference is limited to looks, the auditory difference is very minor that can be ignored so yeah don't go for expensive guitars, they're not worth it, just go for it's specifications, a $5000 guitar with spruce top and orangewood body won't sound any different from a $300 guitar with spruce top and orangewood body
