I also just found out about it today (but accidentally got it yesterday). It's really fun and nice alternative when you're bored with conventional weapons.
I literally tried most of the weapons in the DLC and refused to try the thrust shields since I honestly expected them to suck, but I was wrong.. They are the PvP/PvE weapon par excellence, they are so strong that they can devastate any boss simply by keeping their guard up and spamming the counterattack and even in PvP, the speed of the attacks combined with parry frames make this thing the most versatile weapon ever, currently only countered by some unjust war ashes but that's normal since certain abilities are so broken that counter anything in PvP
They way you spin backwards just to jump attack towards them or do a swift attack is amazing. It seems to capture your opponents off guard every time. Is this something you can do with any weapon?

Great vid! As a shieldpoker main and lover of defensive setups, this was also my most anticipated weapon, and I LOVE IT! Specially the R2s, those are fantastic and incredibly rewarding to land, really cool weapon, by far my favourite in the game. My only complain about it is the shieldpoke move, it doesnt have the same penalty of stamina like shieldpoking, is incredibly fast and it breaks 133+ poise, it feels cheap and kinda op for me right now, tbh, even if I will be maining this weapon for the rest of Elden Ring PvP's life cycle, I would like to see a nerf to that move. I only hope they only nerf that one and leave the rest of the moves are they are now, they are simply fantastic and super cool.

This and the shotgun crossbow are the new black plague alright. T-Shields can be nerfed I imagine, but shotgun crossbow with 'eepy bolts might be the cringiest and most duel-breaking shit, yet un-nerfable
@@WaZeusPvP I guess anything with high stamina dmg (and range or high hyper armour) and hammer talisman? If attacks block as well they should eat through your stamina bar like crazy.

Sadly these need a huge nerf. You can just hold block and spam r1 and the opponent can't do anything to harm you without a shield piercing attack. I was bullying people with this last night and I found it absolutely disgusting. I didn't lose a match for an hour straight

@@zlol_ssbm Nah it beats psgs, GUGS, and even fists easily against skilled players too, not bots. I got players who wave dash and swap to blue/red feather and have good reactions and spacing. They still can't do nothing against it. Only blind spot spammers and parry spammers gave me trouble funnily enough. The bots that spam those AoW were harder to kill 😂
Can you try the new Mix Deflecting Hardtear? I'm able to deflect and stun enemies in PVE while taking almost no dmg/stamina blocking with a GUGS and I wonder if it's the same in PVP. Since you're great at perfect blocking I think it made for you.
Not if you can read your opponent. Nobody just stands there with his guard up, letting the other guy just attack your shield while you do nothing… unless you’re a fingerprint shield user, in which case fck em

Outside of the i-frames I didn't have any issues dealing with that setup. That's not to say it's bad, but if you know how to play around it then it's not that big of an issue.

They way you spin backwards just to jump attack towards them or do a swift attack is amazing. It seems to capture your opponents off guard every time. Is this something you can do with any weapon?

Noticed you didn't take damage on some of your attacks, so basically your shield still acts as protection while you smash away this is broken
it's the same idea as the shield bash ash of war, an attack that blocks, downside is the huge drain in stamina lol
Yes most of the attacks have block frames tied to them (during some portions of the animation).
