I agree these seem to be Pine Siskins except right at the start of the video I see a red patch on top of a head and in the middle of the video there is a bird with a blaze of red on the chest/belly that is emblematic of Redpols which are really similar to Siskins, just a bit bigger, and flock together in big groups at certain times of year, late winter here in Alaska. I would not be surprised to see Pine Siskins and Redpols flocking together. When the Redpols show up here they eat everything in sight, filling the trees around my feeder. I have gone through hundred+ pounds of sunflower seeds in just a month/ 6 weeks, then one day they just disappear.
Its a pine siskin. You can tell by the overall more striped appearance and the markings are very fine. They also have a tiny pointed beak. And the edge of there primary wing feathers is yellow.
My 2nd grade class watches every morning and they love watching the birds and critters that come and eat. My class would love to send letters to you about the birds and critters. Would it be possible to get an address or email to contact you. They would LOVE to send pictures or letters. I hope we want make this work, thank you for this great resource WE LOVE IT!!!
Yep, it's a pine siskin! They had a huge, record-setting irruption a couple years back and I saw loads of them at our feeders here in NW Virginia for that winter. Apparently 2023 is also shaping up to be a good year for spotting pine siskins!
I Believe It's A Pine Siskin. I Could Be Wrong Though.❤️🐦🐦⬛
Thank you!
Looks like a Pine Siskin. I get them at my feeder up here in Canada, every winter. Congrats on the new visitor. :)

Thank you! They are little cuties.
You are so kind to feed the birds year round. Very nice indeed!

Northern Pine Siskin
I spy a new feeder in the background?
FYI: Pine siskins are part of the finch family, and some may show a bit of yellow, and may join any goldfinch flocks at times.
