This is the first windows device that makes me feel that I could give up my tablet and my laptop. It's the closest thing available that can do it all. All the silly surface pro are awful. Microsoft should hurry up in this game.
why do you have rear cameras on tablets? i can tell you: for scanning documents using office lens for example. if you are a student using this in class to take notes you need a rear cam.
While it may not suit everyone's use case, don't undermine the importance of rear cameras on a tablet. Sometimes the rear cameras on the tablet are the only ones you have to capture a moment. What comes to mind is interior design, construction, realtors are some careers that can require the ability to capture photos and manipulate those photos on the device on site in real time. Just my thoughts!
You are right, and this is exactly what i have to do a lot of times. Picking photos of our clients, machines or the products they fabricate, and making annotations/drawings into the image to explain what they want, or where the error is. And while sometimes my shitty tablet camera is good enough, for some finer stuff i have to pick my phone to make the photo and then get it onto my tablet to use the pen. Which is ofc not the end of the world, and sometimes there's a goid net, so you can just use cloud, but znyway its an extra effort, and would be ezsier if you could stick yo one device. The matepad e looks not bad, but i dont understznd why theres no sd card reader ?, why not even their own proprietary one?

You have to connect it via app for the first time. Afterwards it's connected automatically every time you place it on top right side. The app is already installed on your matebook, it's called something like stylus app or huawei pen app. Just type sth like this in start and you'll find it

Maybe in 10-20 years, Apple hasn't been innovative regarding to form factor for many years. Laptop ? Clamshell only, iPhone ? the same notch since iPhone X back in 2017. Note that I'm talking about the form factor not the software, OS & everything which is the good thing about Apple.
Hey Chris, would you recommend this Matebook E on the i3\128 ROM - 8 RAM version for $900 or the Asus Vivobook Slate 13 OLED on N6000 Silver\ 256 ROM - 8 RAM version for $750? Just for taking notes on College and some Excel, Word, Python.
Go for the matebook, the other one is stupid slow. My i3 10th gen can run gta 5, like wtf, that game when it came out, brought my then gaming pc to its knees, now the damn thing runs fine on a thin and light hp convertible. So for basic needs that i3 will do you good for years to come.
The matebook e and the slate 13 actually use the same panels from Samsung. The only difference is that the slate 13 had to drop the peak brightness for the vesa true black certificate. I would get the matebook e it has a much more convenient pen, single core work like python and word will be much snappier. If you're looking for the absolute value have a look at the Lenovo x1 gen 3 it's from 2019 but has a much faster i5 8250u, could also look at a surface pro 7 i5 variant. Idk about the us but in the UK you can pick up the Lenovo for $550 and the surface for around $750. Edit: I would also wait a 3 months or so before buying the matebook e if you can. You'll find Huawei start giving hefty discounts after they complete mass production bulk. You'll regularly see them down $100 or if you travel to Europe like the UK you can pick up the matebook e for much cheaper and then just take it back in your carry on. In the EU you can pick them up for $650.
