Such a good band! A lovely 2nd life! This is a great song!
I saw Steve Wynn several times live here in Germany (Solo, Danny & Dusty, Miracle 3, but not with D S). Steve is such a nice guy and great musician, too. Love it.
Nice one guys this was good, cheers all.
I enjoyed that, reminded me of Television a little, the guitar interplay and drawling vocals. Also of Eleventh Dream Day, a band from the same era who are still around doing good work. A recommendation from me is Honeyslide, a real epic tune from 1992's El Moodio.
Love that album from Eleventh Dream Day . I really like the Lived to tell lp as well , I’d suggest Frozen Mile from that lp.
@@Kevvinm Prairie School Freakout is my go to from them. I can't understand why they weren't ever more than a cult band. So good.
I was picking up loads of Summer of Love vibes, though less stoned out of their gourds. My immediate thought was MSC's "Woodstock", but then they kicked off in all directions. I was getting influences from Jimi, CCR and Dick Dale among others; and when Jon mentioned him, Neil Young. Top stuff.
[Edit] I didn't pick up any Velvets' references here, but "When You Smile" off their first album is drenched in "Heroin".
Of course Jon is more of a fan of an LA band I love than me.
(And, Andy doesn’t remember me giving a song of theirs and also a KEXP performance by Steve Wynn and the Miracle 3 to Greg to react to? I’m crushed.)
Ahhh the Paisley Underground scene, I expect you’ve heard The Bangles. But, have you listened to The Three O’Clock? A bit more heavy on the psychedelia. A couple tracks you may like: “With a Cantaloupe Girlfriend” and “A Day in Erotica.”
Or how about the Stiff Records version of The Go-Go’s “How Much More,” which was the B side to “We Got the Beat.” Much prefer the raw sound of the Stiff Records single to the polished IRS debut album.
Definitely a fan , but maybe more of a fan of Miracle 3 .
