I just love your videos. The landscape of Canada is like its people just beautiful and spectacular.

Another great video. What I noticed, more importantly, is that you are a great ambassador for bicycling in general. You use hand signals, you walk across the pedestrian lanes, and you properly stop at signage. So many drivers do not like bicyclists in general because they do not obey the rules of the road. I do not know if it is true in Canada, but where I live, all bicycles are considered vehicles, and riders are required to obey all traffic laws--but so many do not, thus the animosity between them and faster-moving vehicles with engines.

Thank you. Cyclists have a bad name here too. It's a combination of editing, self-preservation and age, I guess. But, generally, I try. I don't always put my foot down at stops but I also don't blow through stops.

I just bought my first e-bike. I retired in Jan 2023 this year and I just turned 63 (Smoke two packs a day). My job was just driving around Southern Alberta, so I'm not in very good shape. My lungs are okay. If I do 5-7 km's I hurt especially my legs. Hoping to do the Drum trip when I get back into shape. I don't think that's going to happen this summer. Best I can do right now is 15 min's on my Surface 604 Bore. I peddled Stanley Park in Van back in the 90's. That one is also on my bucket list.

"Drum". I only hear that reference from a fellow local. (Former...moved away 50 yrs ago)

I have so appreciated these videos and I am missing them this year. We went and did this ride last weekend and I noticed you missed my favourite part of the trail that leads up to the Museum. I have my ride on Strava if you would like to take a peek.

Thanks for this.. I'm an e-bike newbie and stumbled across this while seeking out e-bike videos. Well done. Too bad the house I grew up in didn't make it past the Final Cut. (The housecurrently on stilts, next to a former rail crossing, 1 mile east of Tyrrell. 'Twas ground level when I lived there)

Patrick, welcome and thanks for the comment. It is a great area and has a lot of potential. I saw a few houses on stilts. Must be new flooding restrictions or something. You'll love ebiking. I'm planning on sharing a lot more information.

What video camera equipment are you using? Your video looks so clear.

Thank you for sharing this video. I have never been out that way. What e-bike are you riding on and do you carry an extra battery.

Hi John, thank you for the comment. I am on a RAD Rover 5. I have a large 48V 20AH battery installed. I used just over 53% of it and I pedalled all the time. If you're using a 14AH, you'd make it as well, with some to spare.
