What a lovely town, I love it when people are engaged in their community. ❤ May I wish you for you and your family the best holiday season and Merry Christmas in advance. ❄️☃️ And a little bit of snow for the ambiance to get in the spirit of it.🦌🦌🦌🦌🎅🤶 Alicia from Montréal.
What wonderful community spirit shown here. Loved the parade, especially the Pipe Band. And a great Santa who is flexible with his perfect Canadian accent and all. My wife is Danish and disputes our claim that Santa comes from the North Pole. Maybe his accent proves it! She grew up in the firm belief that he lives in Greenland, part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Our kids grew up confused over the issue. LOL. //Tom
Don Joyce, Merry Christmas. Great Video. As the Tamworth Christmas Parade is an advertised event, did you get an SFOC to record the parade from the air? I am wondering, as there is an upcoming parade in my area I would like to record from the air. 😊
Hi Dennis. As clearly identified in the on-screen credits and in the description, I was flying a DJI Mini 4 Pro, and being below 250g, it does not require an SFOC. That said, I was very careful in my flight (there's a lot of wires!!), and stayed outside the periphery of the crowd as much as possible. Footage is zoomed-in in post.
Hi@@DonJoyce, I noticed when you flew towards the parade, you flew over gaps in the crowd. It was clear you didn't fly over anyone, so safety wasn't a concern. I just wrote the advanced RPAS exam. My question was more from a regulation stand point. I am thinking how the SFOC applies in different situations. IMO, an SFOC to share videos of a fun community event such as a parade (advertised event) is over regulation. Yet, I don't make the rules. The mini-pro 4 is above 250g with the plus battery. It is less than 250g with the standard battery. Therefore, an SFOC is not required when flying the Mini-Pro 4 at an advertised event with the standard battery, but would be needed if the plus battery is used? I believe you are right. It just seems very nuanced. Thank you for your time and your thoughts.
Thanks, Dennis. The rules are pretty clear on the weight issue: if the drone is 250g or over, the full RPAS regulations apply. So the full rules apply when flying a Mini 4 Pro with Plus batteries. Here's a video that explores every angle around this: ua-cam.com/video/pvngZ9fVQIQ/v-deo.html
Pretty And Funky 😁
Ops funny
Oh, I liked the 'funky'!! Thanks, Mauro!
For a relatively small community, Tamworth produces really strong, well-attended events. Well done everyone involved.
You're right, Mike!
Very happy Christmas
And merry Christmas to you as well!
Love it! Thanks for sharing, Don!
Thanks, Derek!
Wow now that’s what I call community spirit. You certainly caught the spirit of Christmas. Beautiful video.
Thanks, Clyde! Yes, a lot of participants in the parade and watching!
Amazing footage❤
Thank you very much!
everyone loves a parade… specially, a Santa Claus parade… 😊
Absolutely!

Thank you, Alicia! Yes, Tamworth and neighbouring Erinsville form a wonderful community!

Thanks Tom. I still prefer the Dutch story, as told by David Sedaris: ua-cam.com/video/hPfg20k5TE8/v-deo.htmlsi=A7ddcNpCxFuvtTnd
