Great advice, Don!! I still have trouble with getting manual settings right. But the other tips seem easy enough to follow. Thanks for the inspiring suggestions. Merry Belated Christmas and Happy New Year 🎉!
Thanks Don ,all great reminders, I find filming moving targets a whole other challenge and there's nothing like lots of practice helps more then anything.
All good tips. On the forward flights that are longer clips, I often wonder "How long until we get there?" and fast forward to the good bits. Thanks for these reminders Don...
I consider myself scolded - LOL - I break a few of these from time to time. Overall, really helpful. Editing beginners will find these really helpful. There are a lot of these 'tutorials' around, but it never hurts to have another. Almost invariably, it contains something helpful and new. I sense that, now whilst flying conditions are less inviting, pilots might like to gather in a warm, friendly venue to show and compare their productions and benefit from constructive criticism. Any takers ?
LOL...no scolding intended...in fact, I "broke" several of these rules/tips in this video. There was a fun gentleman in Ireland (or perhaps Northern Ireland) named Patrick Conlan who used to hold a regular livestream where he would review people's videos as they offered them, and provide constructive criticism. A fun format.
Every one of your tips is a good one.
Thanks, Dave! Hey...I need fresh we-roll!
#1 Have a story and every shot must contribute to the story.
Absolutely!
Wow Don this video is a keeper for sure. I’ll need to review it several times to remember your comments. Thank you for doing this. Happy New Year.
Thanks, Clyde! Happy New Years!
Awesome excellent video! I wouldn't have considered some of those -but I fully understand & appreciate the deep logic for each one!! 💗
Thanks, Bob! Happy New Years!

Getting camera settings right takes some patience and practice...but it's worth it!

Practice certainly helps!
Excellent tips Don for creating cinematic drone videos, some that I haven't intentionally used but will keep in mind for my next flights and videos.
I always enjoy your videos, Dave!
That was great Don, good information. Thank you. Like # 13.
Thanks, Dave!

Ha ha...yes, there is a "are we there yet?" feel to forward shots.

Great tips Don, I guess I have to implement many of these. I do try to keep my videos fairly short but have trouble matching the music. Thanks
Keep up the good work, Gerry!
