I felt so sorry for her, she was expecting to medal and I’m sure she was told that it was a certain if she could stick the landings. Poor girl, let’s hope her team got the message and help the girl instead of holding her back.
You did great Sabrina very well done! Maybe work really hard on new, interesting, engaging choreography because you've got such a lovely smile and a great energy when you perform and also really make sure your leaps are fully in splits. I think you can medal in the future, just some improvements to work on. Also look back at how exciting and engaging your mums famous routine was, you are so talented and can be a champion too, very good luck, can't wait to watch you next year!

I was so unbelievably proud of her. She did so so well under so much pressure. I honestly thought she deserved a bit more, but it was amazing. To be the fourth best in the world at these championships is nothing short of amazing. So much potential for her.
On top of difficulty, landings, and just overall fluidity she reminds me of the greats of romania of the past and she looks like shes having so Much fun. That's how someone who loves a sport should look like when doing it and doing it so well. Praying she stays healthy for Paris and beyond. Simone is so lovely. Before the championships, Sabrina confessed to the Romanian media her dream was to compete alongside Simone Biles in a final. Well, you did it, girl! You even got 2 hugs and some encouraging words from the GOAT, felicitări, Sabrina, more to come!! 🤭🇷🇴
And she got the words " that was so good and you're really amazing" coming from Biles to a 16 year old. Super high praise and Biles doesn't mince words she talks straight up. Love em both! Voinea is the most impressive Romanian to me since iordache and ponor and amanar/raducan. Wish her the best and so excited about the newest young Romanian squad.
"GOAT" - I'll never understand how a gorilla with no elegance or grace whatsoever can be considered GOAT. It's like we're watching two different sports. A gymnast needs to be elegant first, then athletic and powerful. If there is no elegance, the athleticism should not matter, but modern gymnastics are very boring, just like modern football.

Now that they have qualified a full team, it gives them time to upgrade and refine skills. I absolutely love how talented Sabrina is when it comes to tumbling, but I do agree with most people regarding the choreography, I hope she finds one that is more engaging. She is a huge asset to the team and I really hope this team makes team finals in Paris.
She did the best that she could have done with this routine. She is great. If just she would have had another coreography. I hope for Olympics she will get an amazing coreography.

How lovely! She moves so lightly and effervescently and it is so refreshing to see a gymnast pirouette actually standing up instead of the wolf turn. I wish the great Leo Cosma could choreograph for Sabrina, she deserves the best. So thrilled and excited for the Romanian team and look forward to their return to the Olympics.
Anna Pavlova was coached by her Mum and so should Sabrina be too! I see artistry improving all the time! I see the tumbling improve too. The beam is great too, although the flow will become better.. Bars is not too good, but other Romanian gymnasts in the team will compete their better bar routines in team finals. Ana Barbosu is currently, in my humble opinion the best Romanian all rounder! Relax team Romania and Paris team finals will become a reality!
She was really good. She must have lost 0.3 - 0.4 points on the Chusovitina. With a cleaner first pass she would have got a podium position. She is young and she has the style... really nice to watch.
Excellent performance and showing for Sabrina! Hope she isn’t too upset being 4th. 4th in an event final at Worlds is a great achievement and she is only going up! ❤🙌
I don't understand what is the fuss with this choreography thing...I think she had a better routine than Flavia. Or at least they both deserved bronze.
It’s this stupid sexist dancing bs they force women to do (as opposed to men) because women have to be oh so graceful and musical. And apparently Sabrina didn’t dance good enough (with full body movement). Oh, and it’s about how well the judges feel entertained. So Flavia won bronze even though her acrobatic skills were far easier than Sabrina’s. Sad but true.
Sabrina is training in Bucharest and Patrick is in Deva so they can not work together before she was training in Constanta who is more far away from Deva.

In men’s gymnastics artistry means “military gymnastics” (to separate it from any other form of gymnastics back in the 19th century) while in women’s it means “ballet origin” (since women’s artistic gymnastics has origins in dance and ballet), hence the dancing and elegance.
Solid work on her part. Overall she looks solid on her tumbles. A few execution deductions of course but lovely athlete and I can see her getting better and better over the coming years. Hope to see more of her! ❤❤❤

It seems like finally Romania adapted to the 2012-2016 CoP....overfocusing on D but not on E. :))) too late. Guys, it's another CoP. Sabrina urgently needs new choreo and artistry in order to matter for an Olympic medal.
This routine is not reflective on the floors from Romania. Sabrina has a choreographer at Dinamo that none of the other girls have. The Deva girls are coached by Patrik Kiens and have good music, great expression, interesting choreography, and routines that are adapted to the code of points. Sabrina's coach her mom Camelia does not allow Sabrina to work with Kiens because he is Deva staff. So when you say, "it seems like finally Romania adapted..." you mean Camelia Voinea and Dinamo choreographer. Because the Deva girls (90% of the team) have been working hard on their beam choreography, rhythm deductions, and have changed all their routines to fit the code of points.

The CoP of that time wasn’t paying attention to execution so much while it favoured hard routines. THIS CoP we have now in the contrary, also gives much attention to execution so if you have the difficulty but not the form and artistry you will be hammered. So instead of blaming the judges maybe you should start blaming the morons who coach the Romanian gymnasts without having studied the CoP. Also the gymnasts themselves when they are old enough and adults, like Ponor was the period you mentioned.

She looked almost puzzled when she didn't make the podium. Simone tried to comfort her but, her mother kind of prevented that, didn't she? She still has alot of work to do to polish her execution and get some new choreography! I actually thought the judges were quite generous with what they gave her.

Ela tem muita potência e boas chegadas para uma jovem de apenas 16 anos. Mas é um pena que ela não tenha um bom lado artístico, que pode ser melhorado ao decorrer do tempo, e um grande exemplo disso é Jade Barbosa, que não tinha uma boa coreografia no ciclo 2006-2008, mas evoluiu com o passar dos anos.
Talking about Sabrina's lack of choreography- we should also talk about Romanias lack of difficulty from the Deva girls ..Ana Barbosu, Amalia G , Lili should all be tumbling just as strong as Sabrina and they aren't. Patrick Kleins is not known as a tumbling coach either - that was something Sandu, Forminte and Bellu were great at. Something needs to change and they need to hire a strong floor coach to help the other girls on floor and beam. I think Moldovan (where Sabrina and Amalia Puflea are) is a better floor coach than the current coaches at Deva ..these coaches need to drop their egos and work together with Patrick fixing the choreography for Sabrina and Cristi Moldovan working on the tumbling for the Deva girls
I don't know where you saw the weak floors from Deva, Ana? 5.6. Mara Ceplinschi that got all her D back in less than 5 months? Lilia Cosman? Preda that would have gone 13.000 without the missed memmel? The Moldovans are better floor coaches than Patrick? Humm, no, you cannot compare. Take Sabrina out the maths since she is coached by Camelia. Are you comparing Ana's floor that mounts with an I element, to Duta or Puflea, 2023? Larisa, never got her Silivas back. Stanciulescu, cant even do floor. Tudorache? Bulimar? Trica? Tell me a good junior from Dinamo. Right now, Dinamo has a very serious issue with coaching under the current CoP, health and now with lack of artristy too. Yes, Dinamo could be incredible, for sure, but they have not been, at all.
You are missing my point . Patrick Kleins is a CHOREOGRAPHER - not a tumbling coach..he did not design Maras floor either - that was from Sandu as was Silvianas floor (now retired)...I'm also talking about their DIFFICULTY on floor which is lacking and not competitive the way Romanian floors have been in the past because their D scores are not cutting it . If they were Ana would have made floor finals and she hasn't the last 2 years because she doesn't have the D score. She has the choreography as does Amalia , Lili and Andreea but the tumbling is not where it should be for Romanian floors. I'm also not sure if Moldovan is a strong floor coach but like I said- Patrick is NOT known as a tumbling coach!!!
You're also bringing up gymnasts that are all retired to make a point that makes zero sense . Moldvosn didn't coach those gymnasts either except for Larisa. Let's stick to my statement and leave Did, Larisa and Silviana who are all retired out of the conversation. Their floor routines of the seniors in Deva are not at the level Romanian floors are known for. Something needs to change !

Plus Deva girls are working harder elements but they went here for qualifications. As they care about the team.. so give them a chance and you will be surprised. Patrick can see things structured and not rushed like the “BIG” Romanians coaches have done and hammered entire generations
Ugff poor Sabrina..what a great flour routine. I absolutely love Flavia but this floor routine was better . However I do believe Sabrina lost points for artistry (lack of) deductions. IMO Andrade has the complete package when it comes to the perfect floor - mixture of power, difficulty and artistry. Sabrina needs something with a little more dance added in the routine. Everyone mentioned Patrick Kleins but I don't think he's the best for Sabrina. I would love for Adela Pop to choreograph her floor . She choreographed the floors for the girls in 2012 (Larisa, Cata, Diana and Sandra) as well as Larissa and Catalinas floors in 2016.

Is this political correctness again? If this trend continues, classical ballet such as "Esmeralda" and "Black Swan" will likely be banned. I was a fan of Camellia Voinea, and Sabrina also inherits Camellia's good points such as her sense of rhythm and strong momentum.
This would have been a great floor routine in 2012. The Code of Points has changed, so this kind of routine might be impressive for the untrained eye, but anyone with minimal knowledge about the Code of Points knows that there is a severe lack of musicality, transitions between elements are not smooth and the choreography is very poor, overall. Gymnastics is more than a starting and ending pose now. Besides, her form is far from being textbook perfect. I truly believe her time to shine will come, though. She has huge difficulty when she is only 16! This is insane! She just needs to clean up a little bit and hire a new choreographer. I am sure we will hear a lot more from her in the years to come.
When you've just reached 16 and this is your first WC, nothing is textbook perfect, that comes with maturity...the other gymnasts have years of experience and WCs and Olympics, etc...i don't agree with your assesment of severe lack of musicality (that is jade carey, ally raismann, simone biles), transitions (are we talking about figure skating here?), but I agree that the music was not a great fit for her (the one at euros was a better fit), and the choreo has plenty of space for improvement. Her mom is a former world champion with the team (Rotterdam 1987) and runner-up in the Seoul Olympics 1988, and twice runner-up at the europeans, so she has pedigree and we're definitely going to her about her in the next two olympic cycles, at least...

Maybe if her fans started caring about what the JUDGES want to see, they would send her words of encouragement instead of making her believe she should have won a medal when she clearly shouldn't.
I definitely believe that her peformance deserved the bronze medal, as she stuck cold all the landings. Yes, she's not that mature artistically, yet (she's just gotten 16), and the music and choreo are not the best (they really need to change & improve that) but her difficulty was superior of that of Saraiva's (0.3), who had unstuck landings (3rd and 4th lines...the 3rd line 0.3 off) and that itself plus the 0.3 difference from the D-score, should've been quite enough, as Sabrina is not Jade Carey, who is devoid of grace and artistry, and she cannot dance either. Sabrina has nice lines, moves, she's gracious and artistic, but her music and choreo, as they are right now, do not advantage her at all. She should've been in the final at balance beam, too, but again, a difficult exercise, executed very well, was not enough (Andrade, with a lower difficulty, had a balance check festival in the Q, she got into the final (???) where she medaled...isn't that ironic?).
Sabrina’s tumbling is far superior to Flavia’s. I’ll never get my head around the fact that dancing can beat acrobatic skills nowadays. FIG sucks in so many ways.
@@italohenrique1097Nobody said that the execution is all about landings, we just took a criterion where Sabrina was far superior to everyone in this final, not just to Flavia, she stuck all the landings. That should count for something, right? In the Q she had a low landing and that might've been a 0.4-0.5, which was not the case into the finals so the score should've been 0.3-0.4 higher, and it was just 0.1 higher. Flavia is a a bit more mature in the dancing department, but her cheerful and bouncy choreo on brazilian music, and "form in the air", should not overcome lower difficulty and unstuck landings (thrid like she lost balance big time!).

Also, that's artistic gymnastics, the sport demands you have a balance between dance and acrobatics, and Flávia has that! You're bringing all the discussion to stuck landings, did you noticed that Sabrina has at least -0.3/0.4 deductions on EVERY single acro she has done? (body shape, leg separation and not pointed feet). Thats why she got a 7.7 execution score... Read the Code of Points, next time you'll understand why Sabrina Lost.
gymnastics and also figure skating are very subjective sports, and they made the refereeing very discretionary and they can give to their favorites and can take from the outsiders, like Sabrina, who really deserved at least the bronze medal.

Mai nou, arbitrii , prelavandu -se de codul de punctaj, acorda cu lejeritate note mari gimnastelor cu mai mult "dans" (barna aproape lipsita de acrobatica a lui Wevers, notata foarte generos),decat acobatica. Asa se explica notele foarte mari ale unor gimnaste la executie , in special cele olandeze si la fel si la Gadirova. Echipa Romaniei a pierdut astfel o clasare mai buna prin notarea E mai mica fata de majoritatea gimnastelor din alte tari.
Parca suntem la bara, miscari lascive si nedemne pentru un sol serios, incepe cu datul din fund si termina cu o poza “ seducătoare”… Doamne fereste, ce coregrafie.
Infelizmente ela tem uma execução suja. Só nesse tsukahara esticado ela perdeu bastante. Sem falar nos saltos de dança. A parte coreográfica quase nao existe nessa série. A música é linda mas a execução não! Nao da pra comparar ela com Flávia Saraiva que é referência do Cop. Possa ser que ela melhore ao longo do tempo mas por agora não.

Now that they have qualified a full team, it gives them time to upgrade and refine skills. I absolutely love how talented Sabrina is when it comes to tumbling, but I do agree with most people regarding the choreography, I hope she finds one that is more engaging. She is a huge asset to the team and I really hope this team makes team finals in Paris.

Anna Pavlova was coached by her Mum and so should Sabrina be too! I see artistry improving all the time! I see the tumbling improve too. The beam is great too, although the flow will become better.. Bars is not too good, but other Romanian gymnasts in the team will compete their better bar routines in team finals. Ana Barbosu is currently, in my humble opinion the best Romanian all rounder! Relax team Romania and Paris team finals will become a reality!
She was really good. She must have lost 0.3 - 0.4 points on the Chusovitina. With a cleaner first pass she would have got a podium position. She is young and she has the style... really nice to watch.

It’s this stupid sexist dancing bs they force women to do (as opposed to men) because women have to be oh so graceful and musical. And apparently Sabrina didn’t dance good enough (with full body movement). Oh, and it’s about how well the judges feel entertained. So Flavia won bronze even though her acrobatic skills were far easier than Sabrina’s. Sad but true.
Sabrina is training in Bucharest and Patrick is in Deva so they can not work together before she was training in Constanta who is more far away from Deva.

In men’s gymnastics artistry means “military gymnastics” (to separate it from any other form of gymnastics back in the 19th century) while in women’s it means “ballet origin” (since women’s artistic gymnastics has origins in dance and ballet), hence the dancing and elegance.

Guys, it's another CoP. Sabrina urgently needs new choreo and artistry in order to matter for an Olympic medal.
This routine is not reflective on the floors from Romania. Sabrina has a choreographer at Dinamo that none of the other girls have.
The Deva girls are coached by Patrik Kiens and have good music, great expression, interesting choreography, and routines that are adapted to the code of points.
Sabrina's coach her mom Camelia does not allow Sabrina to work with Kiens because he is Deva staff.
So when you say, "it seems like finally Romania adapted..." you mean Camelia Voinea and Dinamo choreographer. Because the Deva girls (90% of the team) have been working hard on their beam choreography, rhythm deductions, and have changed all their routines to fit the code of points.

The CoP of that time wasn’t paying attention to execution so much while it favoured hard routines. THIS CoP we have now in the contrary, also gives much attention to execution so if you have the difficulty but not the form and artistry you will be hammered. So instead of blaming the judges maybe you should start blaming the morons who coach the Romanian gymnasts without having studied the CoP. Also the gymnasts themselves when they are old enough and adults, like Ponor was the period you mentioned.

She still has alot of work to do to polish her execution and get some new choreography! I actually thought the judges were quite generous with what they gave her.

Ela tem muita potência e boas chegadas para uma jovem de apenas 16 anos. Mas é um pena que ela não tenha um bom lado artístico, que pode ser melhorado ao decorrer do tempo, e um grande exemplo disso é Jade Barbosa, que não tinha uma boa coreografia no ciclo 2006-2008, mas evoluiu com o passar dos anos.
Talking about Sabrina's lack of choreography- we should also talk about Romanias lack of difficulty from the Deva girls ..Ana Barbosu, Amalia G , Lili should all be tumbling just as strong as Sabrina and they aren't. Patrick Kleins is not known as a tumbling coach either - that was something Sandu, Forminte and Bellu were great at. Something needs to change and they need to hire a strong floor coach to help the other girls on floor and beam. I think Moldovan (where Sabrina and Amalia Puflea are) is a better floor coach than the current coaches at Deva ..these coaches need to drop their egos and work together with Patrick fixing the choreography for Sabrina and Cristi Moldovan working on the tumbling for the Deva girls
I don't know where you saw the weak floors from Deva, Ana? 5.6. Mara Ceplinschi that got all her D back in less than 5 months? Lilia Cosman? Preda that would have gone 13.000 without the missed memmel?
The Moldovans are better floor coaches than Patrick? Humm, no, you cannot compare. Take Sabrina out the maths since she is coached by Camelia. Are you comparing Ana's floor that mounts with an I element, to Duta or Puflea, 2023? Larisa, never got her Silivas back. Stanciulescu, cant even do floor. Tudorache? Bulimar? Trica? Tell me a good junior from Dinamo. Right now, Dinamo has a very serious issue with coaching under the current CoP, health and now with lack of artristy too. Yes, Dinamo could be incredible, for sure, but they have not been, at all.

Patrick Kleins is a CHOREOGRAPHER - not a tumbling coach..he did not design Maras floor either - that was from Sandu as was Silvianas floor (now retired)...I'm also talking about their DIFFICULTY on floor which is lacking and not competitive the way Romanian floors have been in the past because their D scores are not cutting it . If they were Ana would have made floor finals and she hasn't the last 2 years because she doesn't have the D score. She has the choreography as does Amalia , Lili and Andreea but the tumbling is not where it should be for Romanian floors. I'm also not sure if Moldovan is a strong floor coach but like I said- Patrick is NOT known as a tumbling coach!!!
You're also bringing up gymnasts that are all retired to make a point that makes zero sense . Moldvosn didn't coach those gymnasts either except for Larisa. Let's stick to my statement and leave Did, Larisa and Silviana who are all retired out of the conversation. Ugff poor Sabrina..what a great flour routine. I absolutely love Flavia but this floor routine was better . However I do believe Sabrina lost points for artistry (lack of) deductions. IMO Andrade has the complete package when it comes to the perfect floor - mixture of power, difficulty and artistry. Sabrina needs something with a little more dance added in the routine. Everyone mentioned Patrick Kleins but I don't think he's the best for Sabrina. I would love for Adela Pop to choreograph her floor . She choreographed the floors for the girls in 2012 (Larisa, Cata, Diana and Sandra) as well as Larissa and Catalinas floors in 2016.

This would have been a great floor routine in 2012. The Code of Points has changed, so this kind of routine might be impressive for the untrained eye, but anyone with minimal knowledge about the Code of Points knows that there is a severe lack of musicality, transitions between elements are not smooth and the choreography is very poor, overall. Gymnastics is more than a starting and ending pose now. Besides, her form is far from being textbook perfect. I truly believe her time to shine will come, though. She has huge difficulty when she is only 16! This is insane! She just needs to clean up a little bit and hire a new choreographer. I am sure we will hear a lot more from her in the years to come.
When you've just reached 16 and this is your first WC, nothing is textbook perfect, that comes with maturity...the other gymnasts have years of experience and WCs and Olympics, etc...i don't agree with your assesment of severe lack of musicality (that is jade carey, ally raismann, simone biles), transitions (are we talking about figure skating here?), but I agree that the music was not a great fit for her (the one at euros was a better fit), and the choreo has plenty of space for improvement. Her mom is a former world champion with the team (Rotterdam 1987) and runner-up in the Seoul Olympics 1988, and twice runner-up at the europeans, so she has pedigree and we're definitely going to her about her in the next two olympic cycles, at least...

Maybe if her fans started caring about what the JUDGES want to see, they would send her words of encouragement instead of making her believe she should have won a medal when she clearly shouldn't.
I definitely believe that her peformance deserved the bronze medal, as she stuck cold all the landings. Yes, she's not that mature artistically, yet (she's just gotten 16), and the music and choreo are not the best (they really need to change & improve that) but her difficulty was superior of that of Saraiva's (0.3), who had unstuck landings (3rd and 4th lines...the 3rd line 0.3 off) and that itself plus the 0.3 difference from the D-score, should've been quite enough, as Sabrina is not Jade Carey, who is devoid of grace and artistry, and she cannot dance either. Sabrina has nice lines, moves, she's gracious and artistic, but her music and choreo, as they are right now, do not advantage her at all. She should've been in the final at balance beam, too, but again, a difficult exercise, executed very well, was not enough (Andrade, with a lower difficulty, had a balance check festival in the Q, she got into the final (???) where she medaled...isn't that ironic?).

@@italohenrique1097Nobody said that the execution is all about landings, we just took a criterion where Sabrina was far superior to everyone in this final, not just to Flavia, she stuck all the landings. That should count for something, right? In the Q she had a low landing and that might've been a 0.4-0.5, which was not the case into the finals so the score should've been 0.3-0.4 higher, and it was just 0.1 higher. Flavia is a a bit more mature in the dancing department, but her cheerful and bouncy choreo on brazilian music, and "form in the air", should not overcome lower difficulty and unstuck landings (thrid like she lost balance big time!).

Also, that's artistic gymnastics, the sport demands you have a balance between dance and acrobatics, and Flávia has that! You're bringing all the discussion to stuck landings, did you noticed that Sabrina has at least -0.3/0.4 deductions on EVERY single acro she has done? (body shape, leg separation and not pointed feet). Thats why she got a 7.7 execution score... Read the Code of Points, next time you'll understand why Sabrina Lost.

Mai nou, arbitrii , prelavandu -se de codul de punctaj, acorda cu lejeritate note mari gimnastelor cu mai mult "dans" (barna aproape lipsita de acrobatica a lui Wevers, notata foarte generos),decat acobatica. Asa se explica notele foarte mari ale unor gimnaste la executie , in special cele olandeze si la fel si la Gadirova. Echipa Romaniei a pierdut astfel o clasare mai buna prin notarea E mai mica fata de majoritatea gimnastelor din alte tari.

Parca suntem la bara, miscari lascive si nedemne pentru un sol serios, incepe cu datul din fund si termina cu o poza “ seducătoare”… Doamne fereste, ce coregrafie.

Infelizmente ela tem uma execução suja. Só nesse tsukahara esticado ela perdeu bastante. Sem falar nos saltos de dança.
A parte coreográfica quase nao existe nessa série. A música é linda mas a execução não!
Nao da pra comparar ela com Flávia Saraiva que é referência do Cop.
Possa ser que ela melhore ao longo do tempo mas por agora não.
