What do you think of the revised show?
I like it! It’s still a classic, but I definitely miss the audience extras, and I’m a little sore they took away the swordsman shootout lol and in the Cairo scene, I miss the henchman falling through the small hut at far right
@@mikeandsteph2020 Just did the show yesterday, i saw that scene occur, which is good news!
As far as theme park stunt shows go .... This one has always been a little lame.
Nice hdr vid
@@bobroma Compared to Waterworld's stunt show, this one is kinda garbage.
This is what Hollywood STUDIOS should be, the Hollywood that never was and always will be. This is the last remaining thing of the parks original vision, not the I.P dump it is
Thankfully we still have this, Beauty and The Beast, Muppet Vision, Little Mermaid (if it ever reopens) Tower Of Terror and Fantasmic (which will be updated)
I completely agree, it's supposed to take you through old school Hollywood sets and productions. Now it's just an overload of nothing.
Universal Studios is what this park should've been
@@queencancerous5332ironic given that this park was built as a preemptive counter to Universal
23:35 she literally made him spin into another dimension
Yes I have thoughts about the changes but the energy from the cast….. clearly they’re happy to be back to work. And I loved throwin the whip to the director to nod to the fact that he was the longest running Indy
Those animatronics are so life like.. amazing.
What animatronics?
Animatronics? There are no animatronics. Those are actual actors.
Those aren't autoerotica...
It's funny how they run in to save the Marion Ravenwood double from the truck explosion but not the guy who was driving the truck...
The actor in the Blue Shirt who is the "Producer" was the original Indiana Jones at first opening back in the day. That is why he was able to crack the whip so good. We just went last week, and they are focusing on more cast safety so no more swords, but clubs. Indy also has to kick the cockpit open whereas before he would shoot the lock. I believe they stopped that because of COVID. Normally the Mechanic gets swallowed up by one of the "Propellers" but in this video he just ran away. Indy also used to fall through the ceiling like in this video which is a great entrance, now he just appears coming out of the tunnel. Still epic, but I do miss the casting from the audience and the planted Hawaiian shirt actor. I got selected once. It was pretty surreal.
Kevin is a cool dude had the pleasure of working with him on this show back in the day
I'd forgotten how much fun that show is. Just FANTASTIC!
Volunteering as an extra for this stunt show was what got me into watching the Indiana Jones movies.
Miss them pulling extras from the audience. But I am soooooooo happy its back
The best was always the dude in a Hawaiian T-shirt. Always made me laugh
I was picked TWICE. Loved it.
They don't do that anymore??? Damn!
@@HighTide_808 Ah the "inserted extra" with the crazy shirt! I remember that! I haven't been to Disney World since 1994. ☹️
@@benster5I'll be there in November. I hope they have started it back up...I haven't watched any newer videos than from a year ago.
I simply cannot wait to be back in the seats watching this next month.
The Indiana Jones Spectacular has always been my favorite thing at any Disney Park. I did see it a few weeks ago and I preferred that version. I did enjoy when the mechanic "Steve" (I got a name just like it) was chopped up and I recommend instead of Indy stepping on the lock he shoots the lock to free Marion. I also miss when they chose volunteers to participate and I was very fortunate to get a picture with Indy.
I can appreciate the fact this show has returned (it’s a guilty pleasure even if it seems most don’t seem to like it much or skip it altogether when visiting Hollywood Studios). The “changes” are very minimal, yes, but it does take away from the moment and the action a little bit too.
Not a fan of removing the gun from Indy (thus removing some nice stuntwork from the Indy stuntman and the “Big Sword Thug” moment which I think is crucial to the show).
Also, the “trap door trick” missing from where the big guy gets “sliced up” kind of sucks too as it shows a decent movie trick and is also crucial to the show (movie making process, literally the theme of the show).
If anything the BIGGEST nitpick for me is the final scene when Indy and Marion run from the plane in the final explosion, mostly due to the score timing. When I first saw the show in 1995, the timing was PERFECT because Indy and Marion ran from the plane as soon as the score was reaching it’s final long note, then the explosion happened right before the end of the note. For a while now in subsequent viewings (and still after it’s re-opening), the timing is SO WEIRD because they wait for the score to end and THEN they start running, leaving this weird stretch of awkward silence as they run from the plane and then the explosion hits. I figured they tweak THAT part since they had 2 years to do it, but it still remains. Lol.
All in all, I’m glad the show’s back, and hopefully these minor changes are temporary (at least the Indy not having a gun part).
I think this day the trap door the guy falls into wasn’t working so they used his “B Show” death but when I saw it a few days later it was working fine!
I heard that the guns are gone for good because of Alec Baldwin
God this brings back memories. My favorite show at Disney world back in 93 I think it was. I was hooked after watching.
I just saw this show a couple of weeks ago in person and needless to say, IT GOT ME HOOKED INTO WANTING TO WATCH INDIANA JONES NOW.
I saw it live, was magical
They should get a bob chepek look alike to play the guy from the audience who gets knocked out …
Lol
You can't even spell Chapek right.

I too appreciate the hard work of the cast members and that they are back to work since COVID! But….I miss the parts with “Indy “ having gun scenes, the guys with the swords, and the grand finale. 😢
Why did they remove all of the best effects that were from the movie
Here’s what you all been waiting for folks it’s back it’s Indiana Jones
YAY THE SHOW IS BACK!
No matter how many times I go to Hollywood studios for the past 20 years that never gets old. Love it 🔥 pleave Never get rid of it . It is one of the best . Too bad they got rid of JAWS. That was an amazing experience with they should of never got rid of . Who can agree?
Jaws was at Universal Studios not Hollywood Studios
Reminds me of when Lion King came back. Went to see it the other day and was shocked on how much they took out and left feeling like my favorite park show isn't worth seeing anymore. That's the problem with knowing better and Disney cutting everything back yet charging more and the parks are more packed then ever. So sad.
Yeah, Festival of The Lion King is really bad now…it’s heartbreaking.
I feel like those they took out are for Covid reasons. They may eventually come back.
@@gissneric the main missing parts where the monkey acrobats and no more flying girl. Replaced with just singing and dancing. Maybe Circe De Soli took them?
My mother was Tyner with my aunt a few weeks ago, she said it was horrible how much they took out, wasn't worth it anymore.
@@catalyst6313 the monkeys are coming back, I think they needed to find the right crew to do it
5:42 is only what we came here for
Boy how they ruined it. First Six Flags removes their Batman stunt show, then the Nazis are renamed the Germans (ironically making it MORE offensive, as it turned from "Fight Fascism" to "Be Xenophobic") and now THIS CRAP!
We waited over 600 days for this cheapened version of the original IJ!
Then don't watch it. Simple.
Worked on this show back in the 90s great memories
Woo, go Indy!!!!
I don't like being negative. But seeing it numerous times in the past and being my fav show. Seeing the changes now it just does not have the same feel.etc...
The Wtaer World show was always my favorite since I was a kid.
Wished they had this show when I was there visiting… awe!! 😢
That stunt guy holding onto the ladder with one hand the first time it is pushed at 19:16 is legit!
I remember seeing this and it was AMAZING!!! I saw it in 2019
Man, they're amazing
I notice that the character Indiana Jones no longer fires any blank guns for some reason. The only gunshots left are pre-recorded machine gun sound effects.
I love this show.
Welcome Back Indiana Jones Show 2021
When the guy in the orange t-shirt started talking, I was expecting him to tell me a fun fact on Tik Tok
I wish I could see this as a kid
Love this show.
I love you show Time for you 😘😘👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The fight scene at the end is weak. The bad guy used to get chopped up by the airplane ✈️ blade years ago … I miss the old show … these new changes are not good. 😔
From what I heard, the trap door wasn’t working during this performance.
Just glad it’s up and running again. Hopefully they will get the kinks out and give us the full show like it was before. It’s been too long way too long. Thank you for the video.
Watched it live last week and the mechanic definitely was chopped by the airplane. Sucks they censored the swastikas though and are no longer nazis but "mechanics".
Indy beats Nazis.
Im a vip at this show, my mom works there so I pretty much know everything and everybody, usually that happens when the trapdoors fail to open, so they put on red lights on the trapdoor to show he needs to run. If the actor were to get hit by the blade, it would sting but not hurt because it is made out of plasticy-foam.
It doesn’t matter to me that they aren’t picking any “volunteers, in my 25-30 years of going I was never chosen. 😡🤬, so don’t care anymore, but I’m glad it’s still there!
hey its the disney parks stream host, nice to see him
Mark has plenty of roles. In 2010, he portrayed DJ Khalifa for Animal Kingdom's Taste of Africa event.
honestly i think the show still works even with the changes. granted its missing the classic indy shoots the bad guy gag instead of fighting him, but it still works however i wonder what that standby time was for, i could see if it was a weather or tech reason, or an adjustment for a stunt that may not be doable due to covid restrictions which i think is the fall into the building doesn't occur
WATCH OUT THE BOULDER!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it more cuts or more changes exactly

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular Returns to Disney's Hollywood Studios
1:31
We have a home video of this show that cuts off at 5:55 so I've always just assumed something bad happened and the stuntman died.
When did they cover up the not-see flag that was on the tail of the plane?
This show looks like a rough draft for the original one.
I was there yesterday
And I’m the only one who can say this. That guy at the beginning? THATS MY DAD!!!
oh my god, your Kevin Brassards son? Dude Haley Nott is my mom! Thats so cool!
Alright I’ll bite. Where are the hoods for the bad guys?
Removed for having racist connotations
Why does the bad guy just run off instead of being chopped up by the blades? If you're going to change it at least make it make sense. Have him run after the machine gun fire goes off, maybe spooking him, or something. He just leaves... for literally no reason.
The door probably didn’t open in time so he ran off before the blades could hit him. Now they do break away easily if they meet any resistance but they still hurt
They removed all the iron crosses for some reason, I understand why they removed the original “bad” cross from when the show opened, but this doesn’t make sense.
Its a Nazi symbol. Not good for the woke era.
@@gissneric jokingly, they should do what they did in the Veteran's Day episode of Hey Arnold where Grandpa Phil tells his World War 2 story where the swastika is replaced with an unhappy face.
I was here today!
Not the same. Watching clip from the movie as a “moment of silence” for another original Disney attraction taken away.
This is better irl I went there last Saturday and saw it it's much better irl❤
They didn't perform the airplane part when we were there, so disappointed
This is depressing but I suppose a great example of how badly Disney has fallen from its once wonderful status. They went from swastika (like in the movie) on the tail to iron cross to.... black bars? What happens when someone reports they are offended about that? Also, where's the trap door finale? Has that been scrapped due to COVID? It looks and feels like they are just phoning it in. Why not shut it all down until everyone decides they are willing to show up and really live?
Seems like random cuts were made rather than any kind of real reworking, doesn’t take away from everyone here’s massive talent. Just feel like there was an opportunity to try to do something new with less resources. (Maybe drop the live set motif, or just change up the order of some of the large set pieces, or subvert some expectations?)
Welcome back Indiana!!
I was there
Just seeing all the people on stage standing around as the sets are being moved around and to give the illusion of a “film set”… I’m concerned that penny counting all-about-business Bob Chapek will look at those more passive people as a wasted expense. I’m sure the budget will soon get cut and it’ll be a skeleton crew of three people along with a new concept to get rid of as much people as possible.
They should do sets from the entire original trilogy.
No head ware, no gun, no crosses on jeep or plane, politically correct at its finest!
The obvious censorship of certain things throughout the show kinda kills the original performance. Still glad it’s back!
Raiders is one of the most grittiest films that almost deserved an R rating god did they tone this show down. Of course THATS Dizznee for you.
Saw it for the first time about a month ago. After years of wanting to see it, I can't describe my disappointment. Less than 1 min of stunts.
🎥❤️👈🔥👉❤️🎬
If you had never seen the original, it would be good. Unfortunately, I think it's meh. I appreciate the actors hard work and understand the changes due to covid, but the original is better.
@@hashtagfilm Reread what I wrote. The actors and crew are amazing. It's the fact 5hey had to cut out a few parts of the original show due to covid and probably staff shortages that made it meh. Going back next year in Hope's of seeing the full original show.
Why would they of removed the 'big Sword guy' part? and got rid of the Big mechanic chopping up part, They made it WOKE! congratulations Chapek
Totally! Plus no audience participation and I think Indy didn't use a gun to open the hatch on the plane to rescue her. Can't have a gun cause guns are bad. Wow. Like most things now, you pay more for less. So sad.
I always really liked this show…there was literally no reason to change it.
@@catalyst6313 you do know no audience participation is due to covid right?
@@gissneric please explain to all the people sitting in the packed audience with no masks. 🤔
@@catalyst6313 haha, I have to agree with you there, the inconsistency is laughable.
wow, cant have any edge even in hollow wood studios, a park about movie's. cant have one of the most iconic seance in moive history "we cant have the good guy shooting somone".
What if Harrison Ford was actually there?
he has been
They PC it to death. I’ve watched it close to 20 times. Watched it while we were there 2 weeks ago. I was very disappointed. It used to be my favorite thing at Disney. Will not waist time on it anymore.
Thanks Chapek for reducing the quality of the show.
Woke liberals? I think it’s more he trying to cut back budget and get less for more money.
The show is literally the exact same just has a couple of extra things
@@themeparkcheetah oh yeah, sure, take Bob Chapek’s side. I can see you clapping, and cheering for Bob Chapek for reducing the quality of shows, and attractions, nickeling, and diming guests, spending less money on maintenance, raising prices for admission, food, and merchandise, doing all of these stupid woke/cancel culture changes, getting rid of perks, firing 32K cast members, and firing a bunch of imagineers.
Wow I would never be on chapeks side
But he has nothing to do with the show he’s busy staring at his salary go up from the genie that magically makes him more money. The show is all done by the directors
I don’t understand why it’s absolutely necessary to point out that it’s “Diverse”. It’s not necessary! It’s getting aggravating! I think most Americans are irritated that it must be pointed out that it’s diverse. No one cares!
You paid for a full day pass but this was not open for a long time. For what? They gypped people.
so... they can't "kill" the Big Guy anymore? hmm... no people from the Audience... looks Meh... but hey, it's back.
Really glad to see the show back again. These people complaining and making up reasons why "x" changed need to calm down and stop with the moaning and complaining. These people work their butts off and it is a great show.
Meh..The guy didn't get chopped up by the plane prop
When this first started and they had the audience involvement my parents got to do it it was so cool
My God at least come up with new lines and jokes. You had over had almost two years to figure something out.
3rd scene = Epic stunt spectacular FAIL.
To anyone crying about the changes…..I don’t even like this show anyway, I think it’s dated and sits on prime real estate for new attractions. My opinion!
I hate to be rude, but children and stunt shows don't mix. They could fall and die if they're not careful, of course. Indiana Jones is a brave guy even though snakes scare the **** out of him. I wonder if the Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood meet and greet returned to Disney's Hollywood Studios yet.
The left ruined this show. Apparently someone dying or getting shot is offensive. I’m surprised the two machine guns aren’t gone
Love stunt people, but there’s always something about their acting in a stunt show that’s too finessed, to performancy and dance like. I like grit and realism. But they don’t have to do a bunch of shows in a single day week after week, so I’m sure that’s the main reason for their floaty performances and weak acting
Wow, what a let down. Compared to how the show used to be, this is sadly tame. They took "kid friendly" to far.
This is a somewhat ok 15-minute show padded out to a somewhat boring 30 minute show.
surprised they didnt' get a woman to play Indy considering how disney likes to pander
Soon Indy will be a rainbow haired transgender black
Indy didn't get replaced by a lady???
Thanks I hate this.
I just don’t find this show entertaining. It drags on too long. The only thing that is entertaining in this park is the tower of terror. The rest is a waste of space.
Come on and what about the rock and roller coaster?
I was really hoping they would get rid of the massively cringe worthy movie set gag. I've hated it since the day it launched when I was a little kid. Just put on a good stunt show. I get you need filler during set changes, but this isn't it, and never has been.
CMON ....They removed two of the most iconic scenes in the movie!!!!
You can tell Disney stock is down 40%
