I would love if you could put a list of these in the description of the video. If possible (affiliate) links would be amazing. That would make it much easier for me as a newbie to find them online. ❤️
Great video though, much appreciated!
That’s a good idea, I’ll make a note of that and try to include links where it is the cheapest at that particular time for my next “list” videos. I’ve actually just finished recording as of a few minutes ago, a beginner bourbon video and 5 beginner whiskies for people getting into scotch so maybe you’ll find those helpful and I’ll do my best to remember to add links in for you!
@@WhiskyWars Thanks so much. Looking forward to the new video 😊
@jsoellner1 you’re more than welcome, I hope you like it!
I paid only $85 for my Yellow Spot recently! Love the Redbreast 12 CS!
Nice one! Enjoy :)
Great first place choice! Mine too!
Cheers 🥃
Thanks! What a fantastic whiskey it is 🥃
Nice whiskies. I have a couple of irish whiskies too and I love them. My favorites are Redbreast 21, Dingle Batch 6 and Fercullen 21. Cheers from Brazil.
Very nice! I’ve never had the opportunity to try a 21 year irish but I can imagine how nice that redbreast must be! Ah I love Brazil, I might be going at the end of the year. Thanks for watching
Solid Irish! I still want to hunt down your second choice, but love, love your top pick. Amazing!
I must admit, I lived in Cork for the past 3 years. 15 mins away from the Middleton distillery where they sell the black barrel at cask strength, around 57% but it’s at €135 and so I just couldn’t buy it even though I love the DNA, I think that makes this proof one at 50% for around €40-50 when I bought it, all the more worth the while although it was limited edition so prices are probably a lot higher now, I’d love them to bring it back id buy 3 of them! If you can find the proof for an affordable price then it’s definitely worth it but price is king with whiskies I feel
I've just started down the road of Irish Whiskey. It's difficult to get certain bottles in Canada, so I imagine the collection will take time to build.
Best of luck! there’s some great whiskies out there 🤞 🥃 some.. not so great as well haha
That's a great first place pick. You should try and get something from Dunvilles, they have a fantastic 12 YO cask strength, and regular 10 and 12 YO as well
I’ll have a look into them, thanks for the recommendation!
That's a solid list! Unfortunately I don't get along with pot still Irish whiskey. I am super curious about the Black Barrel Proof though. Cheers!
I wasn’t blown away at first but I went to back to it after 6 months and just loved it. Really wish I could pick up another bottle! 😅 I love tropical fruits in an Irish and I think this one doesn’t just proof up the standard black barrel but instead adds in those fruity notes too. Unfortunately the cask strength version is €135 so I won’t be ever buying that one but that to me makes the proof all the better value! I think it was around €40 in duty free when it was initially released a year or two ago, probably will be much higher now
@@WhiskyWars I'll keep my eyes open for that in Duty Free, let's see I might get lucky
🤞
I wish Sweden had a better Irish selection, and better prizes. That's why I haven't had so many Irish whiskys. Of those few I've had, I choose Writers Tears Distillers Edition, Teeling Rum Cask and Jameson Black Barrel 40%.
Someday I might dive into that pool more.
Thank you!
No worries!
Excellent video !
And which the worst 3 of them ?
Thanks! That comes out next Friday :)
Cooley is the best by far. Have you ever even tasted it?
I haven’t but thanks for the recommendation. This list was just my list of Irish whiskeys from my collection so if I can grab a bottle in the future maybe they could creep in!
@@WhiskyWarsOf course. And Cooleys are too expensive now. I loved them when they were not so expensive. It's a small distillery. I recommend a visit if possible. I don't know if they give tours or not. I'm not affiliated. I'm primarily a Scotch Whisky drinker. I used to write reviews that got millions of hits. I bragged up Springbank in my reviews, and look what happened. So unfortunate. Now it's hard to get bottles of that. . . .
@@WhiskyWarsJust popped online and saw Cooley give tours, and cheap too. Wow, you are lucky living not so far away, perhaps. Wish I could go . . . .
