I honestly really recommend it for that £55 price tag, the whisky war with another Glen scotia is out on Monday where I’ve had a bit more time with it. Marmalade, salted buttered toast and the dirty oily funk from the region. I’m really into it 👌 hope this becomes a permanent release in the future!
I want this whisky now! I've been holding onto a bottle of the Victoriana for a special occasion. I've never tried a Cambeltown before; they're so hard to find in the US with an exorbitant price tag.
Haha It really took me by surprise. I really like it although I don’t think this is ever a daily, more of a mood whisky. I haven’t had the Victoriana but I’ve heard amazing things so I know you’ll enjoy it! I really wish this was a permanent release, hopefully it will in the future but I’ve really not seen anything about this whisky online, perhaps because it’s just 2,000 bottles - whisky war with it out Monday! Some cheaper options for the region could be the Cambeltown loch, its youthful and a blend but tasty and will give you a good idea of what the region is. That’s about £35 here, is it fairly priced in the US?
@jwrocks5129 I see, that’s £75 here. It would be very difficult for me to recommend at that but then again it would just depend on how other whiskies are also priced. If you threw 2 similar priced options at me, I could tell you which I think is better but I think you’re going to have a blast with the Victoriana! I hope your special occasion happens soon! 🤞
@@WhiskyWars Victoriana was only $86 so I'm decently happy with that. I've found that many stores will price gouge, because they probably only get a case or not even that, and they know someone will come along and buy it. Springbank's for instance are priced at $130 for the 10, $225 for the 15, and $300 for the 12cs. There's a Kilkerran HP for $100.
@jwrocks5129 oh music to my ears! Same price as here, great buy! 🥃 it’s always nice to have a bottle waiting that you’ve had patiently sitting there. Reminds me of my laphroaig (took me 4 years before I could open it) and it does taste that extra bit sweet if you wait for that special occasion. Great idea man!
You gotta love a cask strength offering, especially from a region you're excited about! Even through the screen, I'm impressed by the nose, lol. Also, congrats on the 1K!
Hi Marek! You’re welcome, it’s a really really good one for the money. My opinion is that I can get the Port Charlotte 10 (50%) for £45 instead of the £70-75 price of the ardnahoe and it’s as simple as that really. (Twice the age for less money and it’s a great whisky!) For me I think it’s asking for a lot of money (ardnahoe) and I’m not sure if a 5 year old is worth that much. I know a lot of UA-camrs hype it but I can only speak for myself. 100% honest as always and from the outside I’d say it’s probably overpriced considering how many great alternatives there are but I do have to say that I have not tried the whisky so I can’t comment on if it’s good or not so Im afraid I can’t really help you with this one other than just caution you over the price which is also the reason why I haven’t bought the whisky too. Hope this helps a little. Ash
@@WhiskyWars IT IS OK. I understand you. I love Islay whisky. Also Port Charlotte 10y. I have also Port Askaig 8y. Ardnahoe is one of the newest distilleries and I was so so curious to taste that. And it is great. I know the price Is high. But I don't regret it. And I'm hapy there exist so many very good whisky for good price.
@mareksila813 I’m glad to hear that you really enjoy the Ardnahoe, they’re coming with a cheaper option soon so I may go for that one but I agree, the more distilleries, the better 🥃 also I’m really really enjoying the port askaig 8!
Nice 1 gotta give this one a try🥃👌

Great video and now, I need this! Love salted butter, toast and gentle peat smoke. Sounded so good.
Cheers Jon and it’s a great one! Hoping they make it a permanent release in the future 🥃 🤞
Glen Scotia is doing some great things… the peated expressions are outstanding
I totally totally agree! I need to try a few more of their range in the future

Haha 😂 I really like it but it’s definitely not for everyone! Thanks guys! Nice little milestone :)
Hi WW, thank you for new recommendatiton. I love Glen Scotia whisky. And what about your opinion for Ardnahoe 5y Inaugural release! Marek

Still haven't tried this one even though I have a sample of it waiting to be devoured! Sounds a good one Ash, I should get on it soon :)
You should! Do let me know your thoughts 🙂
