    I absolutely love the interview with the British lady. She's well-spoken, knowledgeable, wise, and compassionate. Not only did she bought the poor Vietnamese girl a bike, she's generous with the shoe cleaner scammer and recognized how the locals stood up for her, AND she mentioned how impressive it is for Vietnamese people to be this warm even after all the deadly hardship they've endured for centuries. Simply an amazing human.

    This is a BLOCKBUSTER. Chock full of awesome content and I loved the English lady's story about the little girl and the bicycle. That was a highlight for sure. Don't worry about your style of questioning (comment below). There are so many positives from all contributors and any negatives are also forthcoming when prompted and so they should be. Simply, you don't ask they don't tell. That is what makes this channel what it is. I've said it before and I'll say it again - no sugar coating. It is all real factual content and that is exactly what the viewers want to hear. The thumb nail suitably highlights the content and the narration covers it well including the fact the double murder generally mentioned in conversation occurred in Lombok Indonesia. Keep at it champ!! Love your work 🤩

      Thanks mate 😁 aw yeah that’s also why I didn’t put it in the thumbnail and phrased it the way I did. :) the title after the full stop does explain what we are talking about in this video. We went to Hoi An. We liked it but also not enough to stay longer than necessary. Our feelings about Vietnam (well, Danang, Hoi An and Ban Hill) is mixed. We didn't think it was bad, but compared to where we live not the best either.

    I stayed a week in 2018, love the place.
    It was the end of July so during the day it got up to 37c, so I went out late afternoon and nighttime with all the lanterns.
    Be street smart but if you are travelling for awhile at times you will have small scams on you, a bit more for a taxi or shops having two tier price system.
    At the end of the day its just small money, dont worry about it, have a laugh and enjoy yourself.
    I had bigger scams attempted on me in Nha Trang, like undercover police selling weed
    or dodgy guys trying to take you to girls, Just smile say no thanks and move on.

    • @Chai_Travel
      @Chai_Travel  Рік тому +1

      Horrible is not a nice word really, is it? That dude also edited this video. So, all je positives he left in are in extension what he likes to show too. I’m pretty sure the conclusion of the video is that people have to visit Hôi An regardless. I see it’s hard not to judge 😉

    • @thienn2924

      @@Chai_Travel The video edit highlighted the death of a mother and her daughter. As if to associate this unfortunate incident with Hoi An when it had absolutely nothing to do with Hoi An. Also, what did the bad taxi meter have to do with the town? Nothing. But somehow this made into the video. The use of the term Mafia?? no excuse for this sensationalism. The conclusion of the video was that people should visit Hoi An. That is pointless. There were no issues to start with? Why do a video with a bunch of negative non issues in the first place?

    • @thienn2924
      @thienn2924 Рік тому +5

      I'm also Vietnamese, and I agree that showing the good and the bad is good practice. But how this video was edited is so misleading. Just watching the intro one is led to believe that Hoi An has mafia and a woman and her daughter were killed there. This is sensationalism and not true. Are there scams in Hoi An? Absolutely. But they are minor and typical of all touristy places. But to present Hoi An in such a light as this video to me is irresponsible. I spent 3 days in Hoi An and the worst things I experienced were over paying for the lanterns to be put into the river, and getting a bad banh mi from the famous banh mi Phuong. The people were wonderful and the town is truly magical. It is crowded and touristy for a reason. Just like the Eiffel Tower is touristy for a reason. @@Think-About-It
