Awesome thank you for sharing how to get out the small bits once they get inserted inside of the DeWalt 90°. I would have never known that I was sitting here wrecking my brain trying to figure out how to get the sucker out
I'm kinda surprised, I would have guessed the Milescraft Drive90PLUS would have been closer to the Milwaukee but it's definitely closer to the Dewalt. Both have both their helical gears help in by retaining rings too. All three with 1/4" shafts. The Milescraft seems to be the most solid but I think the Milwaukee follows behind it. Dewalt's definitely shines with screws compared to the others.
BMack37 I almost picked up the milescraft at Lowe’s but it was kinda big for what I do. Still looks good for construction. These bad boys can sneak into where any cordless ratchet can’t. Just noticing there is a pretty big break away torque reduction so far.. I have to break some bolts loose by hand first..
@Mathews Hoyt funny you mention that. I just thought of the Bauer and Hercules bits that are just the same price! You always see them collecting dust on the shelves!🤣
Looking for the genius who comes up with a right angle locking mechanism for either model.....one handed operation ! Biggest drawback is one hand on the drill trigger and one hand to hold the adapter head.
Whenever I attempt to put DeWalt accessories on my Milwaukee Tools the breakers blow, grid crashes, cell service drops out, and black helicopters start circling overhead -- so it is probably not a good idea. One time, I was desperate and installed a DeWalt 6.5" blade on M18 framing saw. The neighbor's dog ran away, dishwasher backed up ...
I just got the dewalt from Amazon, trying to screw in some screws and the body of this tool was rotating as well making it hard to screw it in. I had to hold the body with my other hand to get it to screw it in. Am I doing something wrong ?
Thanks for your vid! I received all info what I need and in my trade as appliance tech I ll chose Dewalt cause it's more compact and we don't need any force I have to work in tight spaces with falling small screws .
dalesworld wheel bearing grease might be better, lithium tends to dry overtime... yeah, that Dewalt is a tricky one. There are many models that look the same. The one shown is the latest and greatest. Thanks for watching!
Dewalt has an older yellow version that has excellent reviews. I work with some guys that have had ones for years. They can be had for about $21 on ebay. Not sure if this new version is better or worse.
I use the dewalt one shown in this video with my Milwaukee drill driver or with my makita impact driver.. They become hybrid brands: dewalkee, and makiwalt
Cool little right angle bit chucks. I've seen the DeWalt one but not the Milwaukee. I agree, as I wonder how they will hold up after much usage. I have an old DeWalt corded right angle drill but it's really bulky and needs a large area to work in. To be honest, I've only used it a couple of times, lol. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Dan!
Thanks for taking those apart - saved me the effort. I have both, since I wanted a backup in case one of them failed. I've gone through a couple of cheap versions, so when I saw these I grabbed them.
First ask yourself how often are you really going to use it, in my case I will use this probably once a year is not even that... so I bought Milwaukee because I'm a fan and I have a lot of tools by this company, I also have a lot of Dewalt bits and adapter. But I like Milwaukee so for that reason even with the fact I feel like Dewalt is better, stronger, I just decided to stick with Milwaukee to match my drill. They are very similar and it's for you to decide what brand you personally like if you have a lot of DeWalt tool just get the DeWalt if you have a lot of Milwaukee Tools (like in my case) get a Milwaukee just to match.
ShaZam508 I’m leaning more towards the Dewalt. I just got that feeling if I push too hard on the Milwaukee, something may break. Been liking the Dewalt more because a 1” bit hides into the body more so the magnet ring acts as a holder. The magnet is nice and strong and doesn’t drop small screws!
@@AutobahnDan Think of a lathe self centering chuck coupled with some sort of through-bolt ratchet set, but motorize it with some sort chain drive or planetary gear setup in the handle.
I have both and the Dewalt spins better with less wobble, it's also heavier than the Milwaukee which makes it harder to use in tight spots but not by much.
@@AutobahnDan oh that is a new one, looks good. The one I was thinking of is similar but no changing heads just a metal right angle on the 12 inch adjustable shaft.
PhoLongQua the yellow one popped up again in the sale bins briefly. It’s slightly older than the black one. The yellow one states 5x stronger and the black one states 10x.
Both of those right angle adapters are intended to be used with a bit driver so you’re not supposed to put the bit straight in without the driver..... That’s my understanding because it’s the same with the bare tool often the bit doesn’t fit without the driver which also acts as an extension
Another OverTaxed TaxPayer I’m thinking more the Dewalt now. I was pretty much even on both, but now I’d say the DeWalt has A little more advantage due to the strong magnet and how the bits get tucked in. The magnet save me a couple times by not dropping a screw!
I remember using the original Milwaukee that was all metal and slight angle. WAY WAY less bulky. Used it in a boat manufacturing plant for carpentry installation. Best tool ever. The new Milwaukee sucks...

Maybe a nibbler for sheet metal?
I use the old metal Milwaukee 90 I bought 5-10 years ago for 20$ and I have beat it to death drilling up to 1.5” screw tipped spade bits. It’s a bit loose and slightly floppy but it literally will not die. I’ve drilled it till I can barely hold onto it it’s so hot and it is well built. I’d rebuy the Milwaukee but it’s not a full metal case anymore. So I’m torn. I do like the super strong screw magnets on the desalt tho.
I bought an original Scosche Skew-driver when they came out (early 80's). As far as I know, they are the ones who invented these drivers. The first ones were hand tools and had fixed handles. We bought some for our shop and sawed the handles off since the shaft piece was 1/4" hex and chucked them into our drills. Later, Scosche released a "deluxe" version where the handle could be removed. I like to think I may have inspired that invention :) Well, my Skew-driver jammed a couple of weeks ago during a job. I guess I can't fault it since it lasted 38 years of nearly daily use. We had an angle tool in our shop in LA I wish I hadn't let go when we sold the store. We got it from an aircraft tools place and it was a right-angle attachment with two adjustable pivot joints, which means you could literally turn it 180-degrees. I guess this made it easier to drill your face, but it was cool.
Hi @emplehod. The skew driver has a lifetime warranty so you can send it in and they will repair or replace it for you so you’ll have it working again or for a spare. I had bought the skew driver deluxe in the 90’s and used it many times I’ve the 28 years as a general contractor I have run into many repairs that it was indispensable but then had the same issues of it getting jammed so I called and talked to the company, then sent it in for repair. I received it and put it back into use untill it my van was stolen with all my years of accumulated tools so I had to purchase the dewalt which I like that has the ring magnet at the front. I hope you get your skewdriver fixed up so you can hang on to it and use it for many more years. Take care. Ciao.
I was hoping that you would do a test to failure for these two. I like seeing how much tools will take before they fly apart.

Yeah, closest thing would be a long neck cordless ratchet..
Are the shafts metal? I couldn't tell
Oh yes definitely, anything less than hardened steel would break instantly
I gotta say I think the DeWalt wins I think they make another version of the DeWalt also you better get that one next lol

I'd rather see a right angle-through the chuck adapter. That way you can put extraction bits in it.
KarasCyborg like a mini Jacobs Chuck? May be easier for a bit company to make a hex bit with a extractor tip on it..

You didn't take off the retaining ring to actually show the 90deg gearing of the dewalt...?
I don’t remember it was a long time ago. I did get the yellow one and I might do a video later comparing the three
Can I use one of these with my impact wrench 1/2 milwaukee?
If you use a square drive to 1/4” hex adapter yes, but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s too much torque. Depends on what you’re using it on…
Have you tested the Milescraft Drive90PLUS, and if so, how do you compare it to these?
TE5LA no, I almost bought it, but it was a little too big compared to these two.
Just got the dewalt at home depot. However it looks like a new model with a yellow body instead of black. Was $5 cheaper than the milwaukee as well.

I could not justify purchasing either one right now I do got a flexible shaft which one of the two do you recommended in your opinion
Thomas Carroll So far the Dewalt one is the more popular one. I could use both, all depends on the access you need
2:27 May I ask where did you buy that custom adaptor to Milwaukee's?
I think it was a cheap bit that I ground down..
