Behind the mask. Beyond the rage and hate. Past all the physical pain and dark suffering he has wrought. No matter how hard he tries to bury it, it is always there. A man who mourns the loss of his wife and the person who he used to be.
Darth Vader's existence was defined by suffering...

Exactly why I relate to this character so much. No matter what I do, how much money I make, how much tequila I drink, what woman I’m with, as much as I try to laugh and hide it all… I’m in constant pain and anger.
Sometimes, music can convey messages and emotions that words cannot.
Just like hate can lead to the feelings of fear. Fear leeds to feeling of suffering. Never give into the darkside :D. Not even if they pay with cash.... 15 dorrar is not enough...
When Luke felt the good in his father, it was the love for Padme that long since rotted away into pain. And that desiccated love made fertile ground that would one day serve as a garden for love to blossom once again - love for his son. Strong enough to defeat the Emperor.

I am a young woman and I understand this character so well, I felt close to him when my anger and darkness was nearly incurable. I am in Peace now, still wounded and I won't forgive certain "things" but I feel more peaceful and mature ... Darth Vader had a " Christian " redemption when he saved his son from a certain death at his own expense. He has freed himself and his son. Love you Darth Vader 🖤🖤 We all have darkness inside us, but better to choose light. In memory of my My Mother.

How did you cure it? How did you stop the pain, the overwhelming hatred, the pain that never ends?
Loss of the Mother.
Watching Ahsoka walk away.
Betrayal of Windu.
Being forced to turn against everyone he ever knew and cared about, and kill them all.
Losing Padme.
Loss of the 501st.
Watching his own son reject him.
All whilst being manipulated by a truly evil individual.
Star Wars' Arthas Menethil, except that when he died, Vader finally found peace, forgiveness, and comfort.
Don't wanna rain on your comment but I don't remember Windu betraying Anakin. Windu didn't trust Anakin, but that's very different from betrayal.
And Luke rejecting him is contradictory. Yoda, the Jedi Council, and even Kenobi all thought Anakin was irredeemable and had no hope, but Luke was the only person who actually showed love and trust to his father. He knows how much Vader is suffering and can't ignore what had to be done. In the end, Luke didn't reject him, he was the one who saved him.
He didn't deserve it after everything he did, but somehow he got it anyways...

Vader deserved whatever suffering he went through. He can point the finger nad blame others and circumstances all he wants..but in the end it was all on him. He chose the dark path..to fall and allow himself to be tricked and led. He could have made the right choice and destriyed the darkness...saved Padme..saved the Jedi...but he chose himself.

@@khademusic509 I somewhat agree with this. Yes, the Jedi bear some responsibility for Anakin’s fall as well as the manipulations of the Sith, but Obi-Wan gave Anakin the training and the wisdom to choose a better path…he did not.

He did end up being the chosen one, but how he got to his destiny to end the Sith was truly a terrible way to do it.
So much sadness here. He took the emperor’s bait and believed the lies about Padme, Obi-Wan and the rebellion. But deep down he truly loved his wife and unborn children. Such a beautiful but ill-fated love story.😢

As someone who's experienced tremendous pain and their life has been suffering, I felt this personally. I am an ex-Soldier and convicted felon who grew up without a mom or dad and group homes. Me and Anakin Skywalker relate tremendously.

This is AWSOME! I FEEL FOR DARTH VADER (AKA ANIKEN) he lost his focus, and jedi is not perfect. They make mistakes like everyone else, but they fight for DEMOCRACY AND FEEDOM! NOT SELF PITTY, NOT VENGENCE, NOT HATETRED, NOT FEAR, WHEN ANIKEN SAW PADMAE DIE IN CHILD BIRTH THAT IS WHEN HE CHANGE TO THE DARK SIDE! I SPENT 4 YEARS IN THE MARINES AS A FORCED RECON SNIPER IN 1987-1991. I LOST BUDDIES! AND 25 YEARS AS A POLICE OFFICER. I never went off the Dark End! My belief in God and Jesus Christ saved me a lot of times in combat and as a police officer. My dad was in Vietnam 1965-1968. And Korea before that 1950-1953 as a Marine. My grandfather's and uncles served in WW2. They fought as well. Keep the faith, and MAY God and Jesus Christ be with you! AND THE FORCE AS WELL SEMPER FI.

In today's world Darth Vader's figure looks ridiculous.

Anakin died in his heart as he knew everything and everyone was lost and Lord Darth Vader was born there. 35 years later, when Lord Vader know that his children were still alive, the resurrected Anakin fought his battle with Lord Vader in his heart and returned as Anakin behind Darth Vader's mask to save the human goodness left in him and save the life of his son. It restores the balance of force with its birth and death. Without light there is no shadow. Without hope there is no fear. Without life there is no death, and without sin there is no redemption. And it's vice versa.
