NEW LiDAR Auto-Scan - Entire Property Scan

In order to access The LiDAR Auto-Scan you should make sure that your magicplan app is updated to the version 2023.11.0. The new Auto-Scan is only available on iOS devices equipped with a LiDAR sensor.
This is really incredible technology. As a creative property photographer, I hate conducting floor plans and requests for floor plans in the U.S. were rare. But after I moved the London a few years ago, I found floor plans were used as often as photos. So I recently updated from a Samsung A22 to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, primarily for the LiDAR technology and this software. I scanned my living room/kitchen and I'm speechless. I couldn't believe what I was seeing in real time, and I was blown-away when I rendered the living room and saw all of my furniture, dining table, and kitchen displayed in the floor plan. This software even recognized the stove and washing machine too. It didn't see the fridge because it's "hidden" behind matching kitchen cabinetry, but that was easy to place using the list of appliances and options available. You have a client for life!
That is amazing Feedback, thank you! I will share your experience with our developers and technicians because this is really teamwork that made all this possible (implementing the LiDAR technology at this level, developing this Auto-Scan feature, and so on). Had a few struggles getting it to recognise windows with curtain overhangs. Pause between rooms was a trick i missed. Very happy with angled ceiling recognition, and better capability around stairs, a bit finicky on off angle walls i noticed. Overall, bloody brilliant team!

@@magicplan stairs are another - rotates 90 degrees, and gets the size horribly wrong.

Worked for me A few times, and now after I scan a room, it just shows up blank on my canvas using the free version. I don’t know if it has something to do with that.
This issue might happen when the space you’re scanning isn’t captured entirely. You can use the 2D preview to ensure you have a „closed“ shape. Please reach out to our success team with a screen recording if the issue persists.
Nice. I can't wait to try it out. The previous version was a bit finicky, but this seems official.

How does it work with mirrors? Also it look like it arrange rooms at the end automatically, am i right?
Hey! The mirrors should be recognized as regular wall objects when you scan the room. If you scan room after room in the same scanning session, then yes, the app arranges them automatically, once you finish the scan.😃
Is it coming on ipad air ? I don't have the iPad pro😢.
This scan requires a LiDAR sensor in your device. Unfortunately Apple only includes those sensors in iPad and iPhone Pro models.

Hi there! You need an iPhone 12 pro or a newer one, the older devices do not have LiDAR built in, unfortunately.

What is the accuracy?
Hi, with a bit of delay in our reply 😅 magicplan allows you to get 95% accuracy, but if you need to be 100% accurate, just connect a Bluetooth laser meter to the app and you are good to go. All the info here >> help.magicplan.app/laser-distance-meters - Silvia
Hi, i have a question, if I make auto-scan and add laser meter . The program show me two distances ? with lidar scan and with laser ? Can i chose one to show in my ready study ? The question is whether the program will calculate the area from the selected wall dimensions (lidar/laser) and whether it is possible to generate a dwg/dxf or a ready-made area measurement report.
I am a surveyor and sometimes I am asked to measure the area of apartments and I am considering purchasing an iPhone 15PRO Max. Now I do it traditionally by writing it down on paper, I mean laser measurements.@@magicplan
@@ukasztarasiuk8309 no, because the LiDAR Scan and the laser are based on 2 different technologies, you cannot use both at the same time.
You can scan your rooms and after that, connect a Bluetooth laser meter to magicplan to make sure that the measurements are 100% accurate. You find all the details here >> help.magicplan.app/laser-distance-meters

Can it be used with Android
