Give that poor guy a raise!
Have you ever tried the I-Beam system? Jack hammer floor to earth to set the i beams in, pin i beam at top with angle iron bolted to floor joists, and bottle jack the base of the i beam to put pressure on wall, and then lay a 5,000 psi concrete back in hole to hold beam. (pretty simple description but if you are familiar with the process then it would actually be more than I needed to say) Curious if you have done it, and your results. Seems to be a time tested excellent option.
How long did it take for it to be straight again?
What size drill bit did u use and whats that puddy sealer called? what size is the hole outside?
Lol... Work that beaver!
how much this costs
just a question the anchor plates they buried in the yard up next to the house. shouldn't they be 8 feet back not right up next to the house?
?? ?? They are 8 feet back. They are right next to an adjoining fence, not the house.
Why can no one see the fence. lol
take a closer look, it's there. This is a common question with this video, bad angle I guess.
can it be dangerous to leave walls and ceiling in conditions like the one in the video and if so what can happen
***** depending on the condition of the walls, they can eventually cave in completely if not stabilized/anchored.
how much would it cost to fix
It would depend on the size of the wall, level of difficulty, etc. The job shown cost about $5k
how much did this job cost?
awagner615 that job was around $5k for 5 anchors and the waterproofing membrane.
The anchor plate needs to be further out from the house but then again we couldn't tell how close the neighbors house was. He may not of been able to dig and place it 8ft out because it was the neighbors property. Just a thought.
WHITEOUT *Official* it’s 10 feet out, watch again. A lot of people think that is the house where the plate is placed, but there’s a wall where there actually
The earth anchor hole is too close to the wall. It should be installed at the farest distance possible.
I thought the same thing at first but thats not the foundation the hole was next to. It was a fence way far away from the home.
That anchor rod he was hammer drilling in was the length of how far away the anchor hole was.
no way that will work the outer plate should be 8 ft out beyond the moisture swell
Take another look, it actually is. The wall on the right side is a fence, not the house.
Everyone seems to be making that mistake and somehow not seeing the fence.
Correct, it's not a great angle. But, it is right up against an adjoining fence foundation, not the house. Anchors are actually 10 feet away from the house.
