Thanks for the video.. made it look simple. But am I right in thinking it's a bit of a fire risk if punctured and also an environmental risk too - how do you dispose of the old battery or recycle it?
What was the symptom that it was the battery that needed replacing? My Fire 10 9th Generation 2020 is stuck on the Amazon logo when powering up...does that indicate it is most likely caused by the battery needing to be replaced?
The principle is correct, but this particular execution is way too aggressive. For anyone who has experience in handling electronics, you will know how easy it is to damage modern equipment, especially where plastic materials/parts are involved. NEVER use metal tools on plastic casings.

you're welcome. once no power in it, you can put it in the garbage. Collector sort of items for different disposal system or recycle.
Remove battery andtray from machine to avoid damaging the screen. takes a lot of pressure sometimes to remove battery
The flat tool seems to be the only right tool for this task.
I'd be more careful with the old battery, as it's directly on top of the display. One way is to place a hot pack on it to loosen the adhesive.

No try a force restart press and hold the power button for 40 seconds until u see the Amazon logo let me know if it helped
