This sub is manufactured by Sensey Electronics, a company from Jalisco, Mexico, the manufacturer's brand is QMC, the model in Mexico is QMC600, there are many videos referring to them, including tours of the factory and the entire construction process, it is the only manufacturer that use plywood to make cheap subswoofers, with anti-impact coating.

@@DjMartiniMidwest Hey DJ Martini I'm Still Loving your videos and thanks for the last message you sent me about my soundtech powered mixer. I really do enjoy your videos. I do you have another question. I noticed you said that this pr18 can power speakers but do they have to be powered speakers or can they be passive speakers like if you ran an XLR cable to quarter Jack would that work to a passive speaker or do they have to be powered speakers? @@DjMartiniMidwest so my only way that I would be able to run speakers from the pr18 is if I got powered speakers? So if I have a set of 12 inch cabinet speakers that are passive, how can I hook those up to a subwoofer or do they only have to be powered speakers? I guess it just doesn't makes sense to me why you would buy a 18 inch subwoofer if you cant run both powered and passive speakers🤷‍♂️

@@DjMartiniMidwest and thank you as well for responding I'm just trying to figure this out because this is kind of new to me so I didn't know what my options were as far as hooking more speakers up because I really want more bass but also more speakers and I'm just trying to figure out how it would hook up multiple Subs with multiple speakers. I know you did a video where you showed how to hook up a proreck powered subwoofer to another proreck or Sound Town subwoofer but I was just getting confused on how you hook up the speakers after you hook up a powered subwoofer to another powered subwoofer if that all makes sense hopefully it does but I definitely appreciate the feedback and you being patient with me again this is just something I'm getting into but I like a lot of bass and definitely would like a lot more sound considering I'm going to be using this outside for my pyromusical for the upcoming fourth

You get what you pay for is true but for a beginner, I would take it apart, brace the cabinet with a few pieces of press wood and rubber silicone the plate to the back. That should stop the rattle. Hook it up to a mixer, set the cab to neutral and work the mixer. You should be able to dial it in better. I'm gonna get one for my yard movie theater. I'm sure it will work great and DJ-ing out there as well.

    • @DjMartiniMidwest
      @DjMartiniMidwest  Рік тому

Hello , thanks for watching and your question. No .. the ProReck PR18 can not power other speakers. It’s a single powered subwoofer it only powers itself. I seen they use to go for something like $250. Idk if that's correct, but if so they about doubled it now. They'll probably keep increasing the price. I wouldn't be surprised with how much is built into it.

Thanks for watching and your question. The 4000 system has XLR mix outs. Run a XLR cable from the out on 4000 system to the XLR inns on the PR18 sub . Technically you could use just one cable Left or Right . Or you can connect both up, if you need both L&R channels . Will work either way. You will Need female XLR to male XLR cables to make the connection. Like these.. links

It is interesting how my Proreck 12's. Cast sound forward of the speakers amazingly. You don't hear hardly as much volume behind them. They produce very good mid range base. And don't feel like it when your hand is on the cabinet. They are on stands. On floor is much better. But I love my Proreck so far. They have way too much power than they need. So low volume samples or songs are easy to gain control.
I say good mid range bass. But they have Fairly good lows. So PR18 next. 👍

MidwestRaider don’t buy them it’s pure junk they rattle and chuff air all out the back amplifier plate ..
It’s cheap junk, do buy it? Then the joke is on you ... it’s lightweight garbage. Those cabinets are totally not braced for a 18 inch

Okay so bought two of these, what a absolutel junk! The cabinets leak at every single xlr in outputs they have. I liquid nailed them full to make it bearable. The chuffing and rattling backplate was ridiculously evident! .
I probably end up insulating the “amplifier” a very generic cheap build. I wonder if it even holds up.
They rattle like crazy and the low end is a compared to my jbl jrx subs a complete joke. I get these reck subs are cheaper (not by much compared to the jbl jrx ) but this is ridiculous. They cannot even get the basics right .
And the amount of positive reviews they have totally surprises me.
Took them apart too , 300 watts rms not 400 it’s a typhoon woofer cheap as balls, the magnet is super thin and barely any weight to it (especially compared to a jbl) stamped basket. And really cheap thin plate crimp connectors.
That are attached with a thin wire clip connector to the amp board.
I wasted 600usd on this mediocre junk, I now after SEALING THE TERMINALS AND PLATE on the back get some quality out of it . Barely!
I wasted money on these but , push comes to shove I will modify the cabinets and make it doable. It’s for my garage home theater anyways all it needs to do is rumble . In all honesty I hope they go up in smoke. So I have a excuse to get some better subs. But I’ll get my 600usd worth of playtime out of them before that.
My humble opinion ? Save couple 100 more and get a good brand pair of subs. This cheap shit, is precisely the epitome of “ you get what you pay for”
    Pure garbage 😒

You should’ve sent them back ; unfortunately You just got a bad pair, it happens with all brands. Patience is key. Call them and see if they’ll replace them. All they can do is say No , right?
