Nice review. I, like so many djs have to work within a budget but I will spend more if needed especially on speakers. This sub is looking good especially at the price and your review comes out honest and practical. Great job 💪
Back in the day, It was common for the legit speaker manufactures to list RMS, Program & Peak power ratings...and Program power was the most relevant rating for DJ's or Sound Production, as these type speakers were rarely used for fixed install where "continuous" use was relevant. So Program power referred to the recommended max level for the length of a typical "program" which was 2-3 hours. This was particularly important back when built in amps were not even a thing and you were trying to match speakers to amps.

@@DjMartiniMidwest finally got to use them tonight at least in louder capacity. I have 2 of these subs, and 4 harbinger 15" tops - not an expensive setup by any means... ... But this setup kiccckkkksss. Sound is crisp and clear, loud, but good separation using the hp outs from the subs, full band with backing tracks... Did part if a weekly concert series, and everyone said we were the best band, and best sounding, that they've heard play. Was outside in a decent field - at least I'd say an acre or 2 - and you could hear everything perfectly fine no matter where you were standing... And when we used this setup for an indoor show - which we are playing again next weekend because they already invited us back - they said the "sound was absolutely perfect"
@@DjMartiniMidwest Do you think it would sound very loud? maybe if i program it at 80hz and the volumem at 50 percent use only the mital will sound good?
MidwestRaider don’t buy them it’s pure junk they rattle and chuff air all out the back amplifier plate .. It’s cheap junk, do buy it? Then the joke is on you ... it’s lightweight garbage. Those cabinets are totally not braced for a 18 inch
Okay so bought two of these, what a absolutel junk! The cabinets leak at every single xlr in outputs they have. I liquid nailed them full to make it bearable. The chuffing and rattling backplate was ridiculously evident! . I probably end up insulating the “amplifier” a very generic cheap build. I wonder if it even holds up. They rattle like crazy and the low end is a compared to my jbl jrx subs a complete joke. I get these reck subs are cheaper (not by much compared to the jbl jrx ) but this is ridiculous. They cannot even get the basics right . And the amount of positive reviews they have totally surprises me. Took them apart too , 300 watts rms not 400 it’s a typhoon woofer cheap as balls, the magnet is super thin and barely any weight to it (especially compared to a jbl) stamped basket. And really cheap thin plate crimp connectors. That are attached with a thin wire clip connector to the amp board. I wasted 600usd on this mediocre junk, I now after SEALING THE TERMINALS AND PLATE on the back get some quality out of it . Barely! I wasted money on these but , push comes to shove I will modify the cabinets and make it doable. It’s for my garage home theater anyways all it needs to do is rumble . In all honesty I hope they go up in smoke. So I have a excuse to get some better subs. But I’ll get my 600usd worth of playtime out of them before that. My humble opinion ? Save couple 100 more and get a good brand pair of subs. This cheap shit, is precisely the epitome of “ you get what you pay for” Pure garbage 😒
You should’ve sent them back ; unfortunately You just got a bad pair, it happens with all brands. Patience is key. Call them and see if they’ll replace them. All they can do is say No , right?

I have a full band, going to be ordering a few 15" 2000 watt tops (probably getting 4 of them), and I was thinking about picking up 2 of these proreck pr18's for the subs, rather than the matching brand that is double the price - curious if anyone has any insight on if it'll be a good setup? I usually just hire a sound crew for my shows, but I'm tired of spending half of what my band makes, bringing a sound crew every time.
This is a budget subwoofer that works well for the price . My only concern would be road life longevity. Although These would be a nice starter set to get you off and running till you can match your top cabs . Thanks for watching . Amazon Item links check out again.

If you do get them would like to know how they work out? Thanks.
@@nkingofficial thanks for update. Glad to hear they are working out . Decent sound for a value price ! Awesome.
Work with movies?.? Home theater..
It looks nice but I'm not shelling out over $300.00 on it !
@@noaphillyation thanks for watching and sharing.
This cheap shit, is precisely the epitome of “ you get what you pay for”
Pure garbage 😒
You should’ve sent them back ; unfortunately You just got a bad pair, it happens with all brands. Patience is key. Call them and see if they’ll replace them. All they can do is say No , right?
