The actual generator doesn't look very big, how many MW is that? When you say it keeps at a constant speed, you mean you throttle down the water flow, or is it a variable speed gearbox? The concrete building is pretty darned ugly.
I have always thought that the screw was to lift water up to a higher level. It should have occurred to me that the reverse could be used to generate energy... How dumb am I?
Obviously turbines come in many sizes, this one would be too big for household. Only use if you have a low head and big stream, not a small mountain steam...
Sorry but these Hydro Archimedean screw pumps are fish friendly (proven by NEN 8775), they have been used for centuries as a pump and are mostly prescribed by the government because of their fish friendly. They have an exceptional long lift time (easy 40 years, achived) and a very low maintenance.
It is a very helpful video . Thank you
★Awesome Report Thank-you!
Love it.
Where can I find full details about it
I hope this helps. www.spaansbabcock.com/
How does efficiency compare between water wheel and the screw?
It would depend on your application, both would need a gear box to increase rpm...

how much for one of this and can it get enough electricity for my home off grid?

This screw can impossible be the most efficient? Max gain the weight of the water?
GOOD
Do you have office in Africa?
We have several partners in Africa and an office in Ghana, please mail us if you need more information
not in Canada
Indonesia haddiiiirrrrrr
it's not the most efficient, but it has the least environmental impact
What is he cost ?
Hi, UT Pumps are manufacturer of Screw Pump, visit www.utpumps.com
Keplan turbines are better for the same use and they also don't kill fish. Not sure about the advantage of this system.
