Love this video and would like to get my fingers on that paatern but it seems like both links are dead. is it possible that you send me a working link to your pattern? Thx in advance
Ok well that cleared that up now it makes sense. Thank you for the pattern and the videos you make, I am a starting lrather worker and pensioner in South Africa where the state pension is approximatley USD 102 per month so all the freebies help. I did ask in a previous video who is the Springbok in your family, I am afanatical rugby fan having played first division in the seventies so I was curious how a Canadian channel has the name Springbok in it. Folllowing our national side at the moment is almost like watching Canada play rugby. Not sure if this is true but heard that in the Sprinbok training sessions now apparently the coach blew his whistle and told the squad to assume their positions, and they all ran and stood behind the try line !!!!
No problem! I'm glad you find them helpful/useful. I actually grew up on a street called Springbok (so it's kind of a homage to my parents) and people always asked me as a kid what a 'Springbok' was so I became very familiar with the rugby team and also the animal. And the name gets a lot of love from SA. :) Thanks for sharing.
Hi! I don’t see the pen you use to trace or the type of thread you use listed? Can you please let me know. Thank you! Oh and do you happen to know approximately how large of a piece of leather I’ll need? I’m not looking to buy a whole hide.
Hello, This is a wonderful tutorial. I have a few questions: what type of leather should I use? Chrome free tanned (veg-tanned) or any type is fine? what did you wash and rub on it with at the end of video? How would I adjust this for bigger sizes?
Ideally, if you can get a hold of moose/deer leather that'd be great. I'm using a deer tanned cow hide (which is just oil tanned leather, tanned to give a deer like feel). If you can find a softer/milled veg tan, that'd be fine too. Normal tooling veg tan would be too stiff. I just used Smiths Leather Balm. To make it for bigger sizes would be tricky... You'd have to make it taller without widening it as much. For example, If you wanted to make 0.5 in taller, I'd probably only increase the width by 0.25 in.
Hi Everyone, can't seem to figure out how to print out complete pattern in original scale. My printer prints half the image on one page and that is it. Any help printing entire patter on single or multiple pages would be appreciated. Many thanks.
@@SpringbokCraftCo Even if you could just split them into two PDF's that would be great. I'm running into the same problem as I can only print A4 size.

Hi! Thank you for the pattern and videos. I’m going to tackle this project but sewing by hand (haven’t bought a sewing machine yet). What distance do you recommend I punch my stitching holes? I’m using 4mm diamond punches. Thanks in advance for any tips!

I used a leather tracing pen from Tandy Leather. I also used 92 bonded nylon thread. You need approximately 1-2 sq.ft of leather.

I often use the poster setting in Adobe Reader for larger prints. I will try to release an 8.5 x 11 size when I have some time.

I think 4 mm would be fine, you might want to go a little smaller with some of the outside stitching. But it'd work nonetheless.
