As a singer myself. There are no other words to describe Diana's voice other then phenomenal. She is EASILY among THE BEST coloratura sopranos of ALL time...!!! She NEVER ceases to awe me with her talent.
Every time I hear Diana Damrau I am further blown away. Her vocal technique and placement is stunning. Her musicianship is amazing and without equal. Her ability to "tell the story" is beyond compare. Her intelligence and humble spirit are refreshing, and on top of it all she is simply "drop-dead gorgeous". J simply cannot imagine anyone who can match her. Thank you dear girl for what you bring to music.
Diana loves to sing. She doesn't just work on stage, she lives in music. Real opera diva. My admiration, although I am not an opera expert, but I listen to Diana and can't stop listening.
Diana Damrau is my absolute favorite soprano and coloraturas is my favorite out of all of her albums now don’t get me wrong every album that she’s made is absolutely splendid but coloraturas is my absolute favorite
finky gsd She did. They did La Traviata together in London in 2014. She was Violetta of course and Dmitri was Germont senior. Unfortunately there's no video nor audio of that, but you can find many pictures of that production on Google.

Woah Woah. Let's not get carried away, Joan Sutherland might be the best.

Caro nome - those five descending notes falling one after the other like cold dewdrops and warm tears....
Nice trill and nice squillo. Brava!
Unfortunately she and the conductor seem not to understand at all the tragic behing these notes. Not italian at all. And little to do with Verdi.
Fabrizio SCOTTO di SANTOLO La tragedia viene dopo, in questo momento c'è solo il momento d'amore.

seems like those awkward gestures and moves don't help her singing well, she is shouting almost every word and legato is awful
ser gol I disagree. Her vocal technique is great and her singing is very supported. I don't hear any shouting.
ser gol yeah no, she sounds absolutely superb
I don’t understand where you’re coming from. She is well known as one of the best sopranos of our time. She is sublime.
