Hey!! I was born in 1965..how iconic is that!!?? I love your videos...I'm pretty sure I nailed it with 1965-1967 quarter DDO/DDR all because you took the time to share with us. Happy Easter!
Finally found what I was looking for in this video. Shaun refers to "Profil doubling" and I would like to hear about differences in machine doubling and the " doubled die" varieties and where Profil doubling has occurred. Thank you Blue Ridge for all the "filler" you add in all your topics. That IS where I hear you mention things I need to hear!
Thank you Blue Ridge Silver... I enjoyed your VIDEO! I have 2 1965 Washington Clad (w/errors) Quarters. I got very excited!! Since I'm NEW @ researching coins. Started w/pennies and Washington Quarters. I'm smazed @ the errors!!!
I have several 1965 quarters. But I found one with double die. The date barely fits on the coin. The coin was in circulation, I will just put it aside and let it grow in value. When I set all the 1965 coins side by side. This one sticks out like a sour thumb. Great video, thank you.👍
Hey Blue, I have a 1965 quarter that's a DDO, and though it isn't this one in particular, it is Doubled! I didn't however, know they went for so much money. I do now, and so thank you my friend for the information, it is very much appreciated, as is your continued presence on you tube. Good luck in your coin roll hunting and take care!
BlueRidge.. can you please start explaining how rare significant double dies actually are and the chances of someone finding one of these in their pocket change? Virtually everyone in your comment section thinks they found one of these. Some of them might actually have a double die but I would be willing to bet my bottom dollar that 99.99% of them only have machine doubling or die deterioration doubling. Then these people try to sell these damaged coins for hundreds on eBay.. it’s bad for the hobby. Thanks and take care.
Hey Sean just want to thank you for your videos, thanks for sharing your knowledge you make it fun. Just a question on the 1965 quarters, where their special proofs or Cameo coins made I believe I have the double die obverse with the liberty with a big spread it's a very flashy coin with the reverse being the best with dark fields completely with the rest of the coin looking silver, the front has a lot of the dark fields but not complete that side looks clad but look strange still pretty lookin coin would appreciate any thoughts or information you may have thank you

So Im pretty sure I have this exact quarter. Can a coin have doubling on both she's? Mine seems to have pretty strong doubling on the reverse, mainly in e pluribus unum. It also has a decent lamination on the obverse caused by the collar positioned more toward the obverse instead of being centered like it should have been. There is also a die crack(s) along the outer edge of the eagles right wing that ends up containing off the.wing tip continuing to and thru the bottom of the Q in quarter., and finally a small cud/die chip that’s shaped like a little spoon that comes to more of a point , along the left wings outer edge starting where the i ends, continues under the c, and ends where the a begins, in America. Oh yeah, that last A has no hole in the middle. One more thing I think is worth mentioning. The empty space behind the eagles head, below the e.p.u. lettering, and to the left of the top of the left wing is about 60-70% filled with vertical striations all uniform in direction N to S, and do not appear to be damage.kinda similar to the 2021 quarter error on the reverse that run under Washington’s extended arm and sword. It’s also indecent condition too.

Well I have over a $100 dollars of 1965's in my keeping that most of them have been out of circulation for about 22 years. So I just check them and check to see their clarity. A lot of them look brand new. I never really checked them for doubling but I will go back and check again with my big magnifier. I am basically trying to determine whether or not there was a mistake in the Silver Planchet content in the silver conversion from 1964 to 1965. I need to pull out my 1950 to do a comparison. But thanks for the update on this one as well.
I found a 1965 with the errors mentioned in your video. The only difference is the in the word "IN" mine has a cud connecting the two letters. Also the reverse of my coin is slightly rotated. Assuming my coin is in AU or better condition, would these findings , especially the rotation error on the reverse increase the value and if so by how much?

Where can I sell these coins I have 4 of them?????????
Greetings I have a1965 coin but it only has 5 double die letters OD WE and last T on trust. What will it be its value? Thanks.
can I ask a simple question...I have this 1965, doubled die..you don't need any help to see the doubling..that is how well this quarter is...I have 2 as a matter of fact..the 2nd not as good as the 1st...my question is, on the reverse on the 1st quarter...it too looks as though there is doubling...is possible, or is my eyes deceiving me?
Hello love your videos , thank you for all the info, i have learned so much, but im still learning and i have a question, i have a 1966 just like this , maybe in better ms and a bit of more doubling in the motto, jaw, eye , forehead . Is the 1966 a good fine and how popular is it?
I have these one, how and where sale them?
Lovely your video 👍🏻
Got one ! 😊
Like the 1965 quarters, I do have quite a few of them too! Surprised with the DD O & Information! Enjoyed this Video!🎈😎🎈👍V
So I have a beautiful double die 1967 quarter. I'm 99%sure it's one of a kind . Don't know where I would take it to get checked out.
Chances are most likely it’s machine doubling or die deterioration doubling. No double die is one of a kind either.
Can I clean it
