Knitting Magic Loop with Portuguese Style of Knitting

- There are may ways to work circularly when knitting: use double pointed needles, circular needles, knitting needles with hooks (just like double pointed needles), Flexi points and Magic Loop. They all have the same goal, produce a circular piece of knitting with seams. When you want to produce small circumferences, it becomes hard to manipulate your tools. So knitters came up with ingenious ways to do that, and Magic Loop is one of these. Note that the fabric you produce does not change, just how you are making it. Also, it does not matter if you are using Portuguese, English or German Styles, the technique using the long loop is the same. With that being said, I have numerous requests in how to work with Magic Loop using Portuguese Style, so here is a video for you.
Do you have a question or topic you'd like me to cover? Leave a suggestion in the comments and it might become my next video!

It’s never too late Darlene!
Hi Andrea, do you have a video on how to knit through the back loop?
Yes, I have this video on twisted rib that shows knitting through the back loop:

I hope that helps. Please let me know.
Hi Andrea! When joining the magic loop, I’m doing a knit instead of a purl. Where should my working yarn be in this case?
Your working yarn is always in front of your work, between your face and the needles. If you are making the knit stitch, the yarn should be on top of the right hand needle before you pick the next stitch as to knit. Does that help?
Does this change the Portuguese to be right and wrong side instead of all on the right side?
@@ashleelai7038 No, it does not change it unless you decide you are going to work on the non-public side. The knit side is still the knit side and the same for the purl. Does that help answer your question?
I have the same question as Ashlee. I don’t see how to place my working yarn to knit instead of purl.
The yarn is always on top of the right hand needle to knit. I am sorry it’s not clear😔
