Are you currently looking for a job in Consulting? Good news - I prepared a Consulting Interview Preparation Checklist that you can use to prepare for your next interview. You can download it here (yes, for free!): link.firmlearning.com/checklist
Hey Heinrich, thank you for your videos. I work for a smaller boutique consulting firm without as many resources as the larger firms. Your advice has been very helpful to me navigate this industry.
Thank you Heinrich for this. I am a junior consultant from Malaysia working at a Big 4 and no one has really spoken to me about this before. What a difference in approach!
Heinrich, you're doing a great and important job sharing what is expected from consultants from the large consulting firms. Herzliche Grüsse von Regensburg
Heinrich - you have such a humble approach to teaching. It’s hard not to like you and that’s why you’re effective. Keep going :) I wish I had had you as a mentor when I was a consulting junior many many many years ago!
Yes! Interested! Please do more videos on effective communication. Heinrich, this channel needs about 10,000 TIMES more subs - golden. Who's watching this in 2030?
Thank you Heinrich again for sharing such a valuable lesson that is applicable across every domain and practice. As you rightly pointed out structured communication is the first and foremost the most essential skill to have a successful career and I will be more than happy to hear from you more on the communication approaches, storytelling which I believe is essential as part of CEO presentation and you have also covered this little in the CEO presentation course and looking forward to more such lessons, courses, and blogs. Thank you again and please stay safe and healthy
To sum it up, to answer a question we should should talk about the results you achived and the key arguments relating to it. Not much focus should be given to the process until they ask you tha how you came to this conclusion.

Excellent stuff, thankyou for sharing Heinrich. You mentioned a course...I can see a course on presentation. Do you have another course on effective communication skills for consultants talking to C- level people? If so, please share the link.
Hi Gurpeet, thanks for watching! The Slide Writing one is the one I was referring to. It does also contain some communication aspects (though slide writing is the focus). Best! Heinrich
Hey Heinrich, do you have other book recommendations for improving my presentation and communication skills? Thank you in advance and greetings from Germany :)
Hi Ersin, to be honest do not have any books in mind besides Minto's Pyramid Principle. Of course I offer a course on slide writing and communication in case you would like to hear more from me :) Also more videos on this topic freely available on my channel. Best, Heinrich
Heinrich, I really struggle with the idea of using top-down communication in a country where they are process-based thinkers. I’ve always hypothesized that if you spoke to a French ceo that way, they would say, “great, but what about your processes?” It’s cultural. What about you - Any insights into how this style plays out in different cultures? Thanks in advance for your response - great channel (side note: can you make a video on Experienced Hires?)
Hi Matt, thanks for your comment! Yes, video on experienced hires is already on the ideas list :) Interesting observation on the culture aspect. Have worked with several French colleagues and to be honest did not really notice a difference regarding the communication style. Though indeed never worked for a French client, therefore probably hard for me to judge. All the best!! Heinrich
Hi Heinrich, I really enjoyed this video. Great content! Would you consider doing a video on your top 5 or top 10 Favorited business/communication related books? I've never heard of the book called pyramid principle but I will give it a read. Curious as to what other books you would recommend.
Hi Wayne thanks for the suggestion. Yes, might do that for one of the future videos! In the meantime, check out this list with some book recommendations of mine: link.firmlearning.com/books Best! Heinrich
In general yes! Though in sales some other tactics might be required (e.g., a fellow sales professional in another comment talked about how you need to build the value first before you show the price of an offering). Best! Heinrich
just signed to one of your training in Udemy. Would you consider doing a training similar to the onboard training for young consultants with all the role plays?
Hi, thank you for the suggestion! This indeed sounds like a great topic for a future course... now I only need to find the time to create it ;) Thanks for watching!! Best, Heinrich
a) replyling to all the comments shows your commitment b) re-creating a video to improve the quality shows commitment amazing work man, truly shows why McKinsey picked you.
Heinrich, you are assuming that CEOs can only be men :-) Would it be possible that your vocabulary could be somewhat more diversity-oriented? :-) A comment from a former management consulting CEO
Hi Catherine, thanks for the feedback. Fully agree, had the pleasure to work with many highly capable and talented women in my career, many of them in leadership positions. Will work on that ;) Best, Heinrich
Hi Heinrich.
LG! Heinrich

One of the reasons why your videos are engaging is your use of the pyramid principle, it gets beyond Consulting and therefore, is a must learn.
Thanks!! Agree, once you learn the principles of top-down communication, this will show in all areas of life :) Best, Heinrich
Hey Heinrich, thank you for your videos. I work for a smaller boutique consulting firm without as many resources as the larger firms. Your advice has been very helpful to me navigate this industry.

Sharing this with my consulting team! Would love to see more from you on the pyramid principle, particularly wrt verbal presentation.
Good points made. I like the way you say 'consulting'😊
Excellent! We would love to know more aspects of communication Heinrich.
Thanks for watching and for your feedback! Well noted. Best, Heinrich
Yes it would be great if you can give more details about top down communication
Hi Evo, created a more recent video about this topic, check it out in the library! Best, H
Thanks a lot for the really helpful video.
This is actually true. I hate it when I'm running out of time and someone starts process communication to convey a message to me.
Agree! Thanks for watching! Best, H
I want to see more videos about effective communication.
Hi Rafael, released a new video on this very topic today, hope you enjoy it! Best, Heinrich

this is similar to your video on top down communication
Yes agree! Was not happy with the production quality on this one, therefore recreated it! :) Best, H
