I think it’s cool when authors put their own spin on typical fantasy related ideas and tropes, like magic users…the author creates a specific point of view within their world to make it seem real yet different from what readers are use to with traditional fantasy books. Sounds like this author captures that a bit with the idea of magic and those who can wield it. Sounds cool.

Yea I just finished book 3 and highly recommend. they also aren't long reads so another bonus.
