Love the 131 Supermirafiori/Sport/Racing, all the Fiat twincams. Compared to the std 75hp pushrod 131, this 115hp & big torque was the real deal
Absolutely love these cars same with the Lada all the Russians turn into drift cars it the square looks like the Volvo 240.

lovely car, had a 131tc 1600 later a 2.0 sport ,sadly crashed the sport. Underated car they went {2000cc} really well ,superb engines and gearboxes on these.
is it stock? As far as I can remember, the 131 Racing (this was the name chosen for the Italian market) had only one twin choke carburetor rather than two, which was later the setup of the Ritmo Abarth 130
Really like that there still are 131 examples without the rallye bodykit. I kinda like the interior, after a deep clean I think will look lovely.

I have a grey 131 sport with the pippin red interior Irish car immaculate condition with quite a few tweaks including uprated brakes & rear axle with limited slip differential its fast & fun, i think i know that car in the video?
More of these videos the shorts are ok but I prefer the longer videos
Love these cars. I had one for 5 years in the '80s. Once I got used to the spring-loaded gearbox (I kept going from 1st to 4th) it was an absolute joy to drive.
Fantastic project, such an iconic car. We had a Fiat 132 1600 Special in the 70s, followed by a black 132 Bellini 2-litre with that same engine. Then I had a S3 Supermirafiori 1400 TC (with points ignition) in Germany which I brought back to the UK... great engines with lovely raspy exhaust note.

Always wanted one ....especially the orange one ....super rare even in the late 80s when I started driving .my choice for first car was one of these a 105tc strada or fiat x1/9 .I got the x1/9
You know what these older cars seem far more stylish to me than most modern motors that just look like half circles 90% of the time shame about the interior colour but other than that I think it's brilliant tbh if you could get more cars like this on the road that would be fantastic body shape is way better than what's out there today and I mean by a bloody long shot proper nice motor wondering how much one costs probably too much but beautiful seriously a little work here and there remove and replace the interior really overhaul the inside keep that classic body shape perfect motor
Watching this a year late...were the wet things in bag in boot ,the accessory toweling front seat inserts for when you were at the beach, these were supplied on uk sports although they were embroidered with 131 racing script...most were probably keept by the pdi mechanic when the car was new...and i am sure would sell for a good price now. my one was reg AEP 50T....in fiats agricultural orange colour.
I still have my 81 131 Brava 4 door sedan. It's a California car and 100% rust free with the original interior. I did a valve job and head gasket a couple of years ago. It's a nice comfortable car to ride in.
Bought a new one here in New Zealand in 1981 for NZ18,000 WAS CALLED A FIAT 131R we had a great colour choice they had some wacko colour combos we ended up with a grey colour and black flares they also had a towelling seat cover set up which was unusual after we sold to upgade to a 130tc Abarth in 1985 a few years later we had the opportunity to buy it back in 1996 so me and my dad bought it back to restore it to it former glory but sadly my father passed away out of the ordinary and my mother the following week so it took the wind out of my sails so to speak but a great car and was onsold to someone else that restored it to a non factory colour but all the same a great car.
I had one of these, in exacly that colour combination. It was a great car (1983-1985)
Hello I live Belgium and I drive already 38 years Fiat,now the new Tipo,OK this car the owners I think didn't never a garage to put new oil etc,but don't Forget was already years better the or some Germans,Fiat make in late 60 and 70 a bad name of rest because they sold the old 124 chair to Russian but they Russian are not able to pay and give Fiat steel,but that steel was the reason after some years everywhere rost but on the start of first tipo Fiat have a lot better car the engines of Fiat now are a lot of the best and all that ugly cars from Korea are copies but never of life I change my opinion.now I try to find a replica 131 Abarth or a old but in good condition Fiat 125 special to end my opinion of Fiat my Marea some years ago diesel in have 434.764 km ..
My opinion going see after two years and what you see Hyunday etc...Koreans makes better rockets.
Gumetal Grey is nice my favorite colour was Silver i have one in Arancio racing Orange 255 and that seems to be the most popular colour around

Absolutely loved the Mirafiori Sport. Owned one from 85 to 87. did some real trickery on the engine with cams, carbs, manifold and exhaust. Fast has fuckery! I replaced it with several Alfasuds and then a Lancia HPE or two. I bought an 1985 Alfa Giulietta 2.0RS in 1994 which I've still got. I laid it up in 2012 and got it out again in 2022. Started up again easily on 10 year old fuel.
