I also found you can get to the hidden menu by doing the following:
Turn the ignition off. Then WITHOUT putting foot on brake turn ignition on. Now hold down the 'Display' button on the head unit and turn your parking lights on and off 3 times quickly.
just done this for a 2012 sat nav system for a cruiser 200 series and pretty much got to the same point without any over ride function. cant go further from here because i dont know how.
interestingly it was a new head unit installed and the rear camera was not installed and everything worked the way we want it to being, nothing was greyed out. so we could input anything anytime. when they set the rear camera up it now greys out being able to input adress etc so we now have to stop to input a new address or find a reference point.
keen to find the overide function ahould anyone know how.

Since making this video I've found out that even if you can access the override, you have to redo it every time you turn the ignition off. I wonder if it won't be greyed out again if you disconnect the rear view camera.
it may work for a camera disconnection but that would leave out an important safety feature.
its sounds like a wiring overide feature to trick the unit into thinking its not moving but this may be linked to the gps etc way above may knowledge.
have you given up or thinking of installing an after market system?

Yes, I've since found that you can override the speed signal to the display unit, and make it think the vehicle is stationary. However, you just can't disconnect the speed signal wire, it needs a pulse (I think about 1Hz from memory) to work. You need to have a changeover switch that you switch on while entering information on the unit. Maybe I'll do this one day... next time I've got the dashboard apart.
Guys, I figured it out but I realize it all goes back to the old ways every time you turn the car off.Bummer !!!

+Антон Смольников You can select the type of lines that appear on the reverse camera by starting the car and putting it in reverse. There is a button on the bottom left of the screen.
in fact of the matter is that the button on the monitor disappeared
+Антон Смольников Oh, Sorry I can't help with that problem, it's beyond my level of understanding. There may be a setting in the hidden menu somewhere. Good luck.
