- Did you know that you can create cute clipart and graphics in Procreate that you can sell online for passive income? In this easy tutorial, I'm going to show you my process of creating watercolor clip art that you can sell online (Etsy, Creative Market, personal websites, etc.). In this Procreate tutorial, I show you how to draw a cute watercolor whale.
In Part 2 of this video series, I will show you how to remove the background layer to create a transparent background/png file. Check out that tutorial here:

Because it was difficult to come across realistic-looking watercolor brushes for Procreate, I decided to create my own - Watercolor 101 brush set (linked below)! It took me so long to perfect these procreate brushes.
Hope you enjoy this super easy tutorial!

Love you, will so cute! 💕I have a question how did you make the texture paper to look like watercolor paper?
You can scan traditional watercolor paper and insert the jpeg file into Procreate! But I do sell watercolor canvases so that you don't have to go through the hassle😉

Thanks so much for such a helpful video! May I ask how your canvas is setup? Are you set in RGB or CMYK? I always struggle with this since the clipart will probably be used for both print and digital depending on where it's used...
You're so welcome! It is set up in RGB mode. You can change it later in Photoshop or Illustrator :)
Such an adorable whale! When you save the artwork as a png, are there anymore steps you need to do to make it sellable?
Sorry about my late reply! Making it a png should be the final step as long as you are trying to sell clipart without any background image :)
@@JudittyArt I was wondering what size procreate canvas should I use if I want to sell clipart on Etsy?
@@jodoodles295 Screen size should be fine. But all of the images should be at least 300dpi.

@@JudittyArt Thank you for your help!
Hi, your tutorial says you are using Watercolor101 set, however, link goes to some Sublime brush pack
Hi, I changed the name of the brush pack to Sublime Watercolors. Sorry about the confusion!!
Thanks a lot, which size should I use for the cliparts?
It would be best to start large so that you can size down later on (if needed). The size may depend on the type of item that you are drawing. If you are painting an animal, you may want to size it big at first. Thanks for checking this tutorial out! :)
@@JudittyArt thank you for the answer. I am going to make experiments with your tips
But how do you turn it into a png, making it free from the background for a clipart?
This video shows you how :)

I dont have ipad but can I use my phone?
You'll need an iPad :) I think the phone screen will be too small.
