- Bobcat T595 Blowing black smoke when moving machine quick or raising arms fast.
I had a 773 before this machine and never had any issues. I’m not doing anything different other than the attachments are newer for the new machine. The machine only has 400 hours on it. We use it at the house for building dirt bike tracks and trails on the property. It goes out a few times a year for land clearing stuff but that’s not often. We have a few attachments like a bobcat 66” high flow twin head heavy brush cutter and a grapple bucket. I keep up on greasing everything and change the oil often with good filters. Amsoil in the engine and Bobcat Hydraulic/Hydrostatic fluid in the hyd tank.
Filters to replace
FUEL, Bobcat #7400454 Fuel Filter, updated from old bobcat # 7023589 = you need 2 LARGE slip joint plyers to loosen the filter from the housing after to have it removed from the 2 hose clamps on the right side of the machine. Have a drain pan ready!
Engine Oil, HIFI Spin-on # SO10150 or Bobcat # 7012303 = have the drain pan, a few rags and the Form-a-funnel ready and positioned.
Spin-ON hyd OIL Filter, Duramax P169078 = under the coolers, take of the 8x 14mm bolts and grates to access the filter under the fan. Have a small pan and plenty of rags ready.
Donaldson Air Filters = Inner Air filter # 7221934 & Donaldson Outer air filter # 7286322
Large top side drop in Hyd oil filter # 7024037 = take 2 14mm bolts loose. Turn filter top and pull up. Have pan ready. Suck out all oil.
2 Pcs Air Filter Bobcat 7176099 you can find these on Ebay for $16-22 a set.
When the machine started bogging down I came up and started changing out all the filters to see if I had a plugged filter. I even drained out all the Hyd oil in the tank and the cooler. So every oil filter has been changed. After all the oil was done I raised the arms and cab. I cleaned out and shop vac all in insides to see if I could find a bad hose. Nothing? Welll I missed the charge hose. A quick test run down the drive and back shows it did not help from what I see. Still black smoke when in high and trying to go quick across the ground.
I felt around and could not see a hose or anything that was cracked or broken. I should of looked further as I found a bad charge hose from the Turbo to the intercooler. Hats off to the guy in Maryland who said they updated that hose to a better one. So reach on the right side of the machine behind cylinder 1 and feel for a hose running from the turn to the intercooler. Boom. That was it. The new part number for Bobcat T595 is #7433480
This Charge hose is an update for the T595 and T650 is what I was told.
Since I missed that hose. I went to the next step. That was to do a quick inspection of the injectors. Pull off the return lines, cap the 4 return lines, add 16” of RC Car gas line to each injector return port, drill ¼ hole in 4 water bottles, make sure bottles are above the injectors, Run the engine for a set time. 5, 10, 15 whatever is needed to show a difference in the injectors. Mine showed very little difference.
The problem ended up being the Charge hose from the turbo to the intercooler! New updated part and part number from Bobcat for the T595 is #7433480
