I love the matco ratchet head thickness
The moment my Mac guy had RBRT Allen sockets, I purchased the complete metric & SAE set, even though I had purchased a GP set not even a month prior. I'd like to thank you for making a video on them! It was because of that video I was able to purchase the first set my Mac guy got, and thank God it was pre-covid. They weren't cheap by any means, but cheaper than they are now!
Finally!!! FRIDAAAAYYYYYY! I get to go back to 72 to 84 hours a week for the next 2-3 weeks.

I use to love doin OT until I got to central transport. They don't pay overtime until 55hrs and they have us working mandatory 50hrs a week

IM AN ALIGNMENT TECH! THOSE LONG WRENCHES ARE MY NUMBER ONE & ABSOLUTE MOST FAVORITE TOOL! I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THEM. MINE GO ALL THE WAY TO 24MM. love em
When my Mac Tool dealer first showed the new RBRT hex sockets, that is how he sold them to me. Not just as a damaged bolt tool but as a preventive tool to not damage a bolt in the first place. I hated to switch after building an arsenal of hex wrenches, but it was the best move I ever made. The 4mm RBRT is a must have with Generac Home Standby's.
Finally ordered a JSC 773 cart today in purple and black trim ,swivel on all 4 wheels had a Snap-On cart for 2 1/2 years I hated. MATCO guy gave me a great deal on trade and he ordered it have to wait 10-12 weeks though but will be worth it!
Those long wrenches are a MUST have!
I was told this years ago by an old timer who is long gone “ Cheap Tools will Cost you Twice as Much”!

Matco Michael is a cool guy.. those long spline wrenches with the box/flex heads are the Bomb… love ‘em.. use them almost daily.: work perfect for 12pt too
Getting one of those updated ratchet repair kits from Matco for one 1/2 drive ratchet of mine.Called them Wendsday told them I found out about them on the video last week.My youngest brother works at a Harley Davidson dealership as a tech,he watched a co worker cut off a plug on a stator that was $250.00.Cost the dealer $250.00 whom bought it used.Had a leak there
I got a 4pcs set of Wera's couple years ago, Ratcheting, straight wrenches. Was gonna get the 11 pcs. set if I liked em. But after time, I can definitely say I don't care for straight wrenches. I guess like everything they have a place, just not my box! Thanks for the Friday video!

Them long pattern wrenches work really good for the Peterbilt bell housing bolt behind the clutch arm that son of a gun bolt that nothing will go on it and it's super super tight with a gallon of loctite on it 👍
I just got the 12 1/2 and 1/4” locking flex head with three extensions in a foam set. Great sets. Also bought 10 piece screwdriver set. Best screwdriver set available

My Matco dealer got me a 7/16 finally. Took like 4 months but it was worth the wait. Use it for brake adjustments.
i bought the master mac tool rbrt set and i use them for everything i do wish i wait to buy them but in the last couple months they save my butt in many place and help out my other john deere techs i going to tell all my tech to get them and save money vs the mac tool version im not mad i spent 2 or 3 times for them i brought them because i saw in on one of your videos and my mac guy had them on his truck for a while and i paiod 600 cad for them

I use the RBRT hex bits on my Harleys all the time. I'll tell you what though. A bad day is when you use the 5/32 on a 3/8" pan head bolt and the hex bit snaps off. You aren't digging out of the bolt head. That was my first and only RBRT failure.
Long wrenches look very good. Good intro.
Just bought a set of those extra long ratcheting wrenches from my dealer and put them to the test two days later doing a brake can with semi siezed up bendix slacks. put the ratcheting side through its paces before just removing the slacks and replacing with new as they would not back off all the way. also need to really look into finding some of these RPT bits as I never cared for the pricing of the MAC ones.

Hey Clay liking long flex might need to get. RBRT is a excellent engineering concept. The price tag is overwhelming and it’s time for the company to bring out their own line at a more affordable price if there is such thing. Don’t kill the new ambitious mechanic who can’t afford the tool. The Matco guy in my area comes every week with I call empty truck. Excellent video
Well the Grip Edge is here for that reason. Same tool. Same factory. Same technology. Same warranty minus the Mac Tool tax

JIS isn't actual JIS. It used to be a thing many years ago but the actual making of JIS bits and tips aren't like the original because its a lost art, same with JIS fasteners. Its like Damascus steel making, the original formula is lost to the ages so what we have now is inspired/ loosely based off it. Actual original JIS bits, tools & fasteners do not exist anymore. All JIS nowadays is semi closely related to the original versions.
Vessel jaws fit screwdriver are best for JIS & even phillips

the DeWalt Power Stack batteries were actually developed by Chervon Who owns FLEX..but Stanley-Black and Decker bought the right to introduce their Power Stack before FLEX came out with their stack lithium battery because Stanley Black and Decker gave them a truck full of money to do it..I too know this as FACT....☝️

Twist sockets work pretty good. Bolt Biters are better but the Grip Edge ones that’s fixing to come out that are the same as the Mac RBRT extractors are even better

They are actually made by Kabo since they own the patent for them. Every single wrench in that design (Carlyle, Icon, Mountain etc) is made by them.

I showed my Mac guy about the grip edge, he went to his DM. The dm told him to tell people that they aren't the same and are a cheap knock off. Needless to say my dealer is refusing to. But honestly the price of grip edge is the same as my Mac dealer charged for rbrt.
Your dealer is 100% incorrect and or jealous of the grip edge launching their own line vs staying exclusive to Mac. But the truth is it is 100% the exact same tool made in the exact same factory made to the exact same specs carrying the exact same warranty. I know 100% this is true as I know the owners of Grip Tool. The RBRT line was made by them, they invented and patented the technology. They were sold to Max under an exclusive agreement which Mac didn’t renew and they launched their own brand but it is indeed the same tool without the “Mac Tool Tax”. But i guess I would be a little butt hurt too if my “Franchise” was too ignorant to keep the line as exclusive when it was the best thing my tool line offered.

hey man I am in a position where I'm barely getting by financially. taking care of my wife and kids, currently the only one working.ibrothaggot overlooked to start doing engines BC I don't have all of the right tools. so i spoke with my mac tool dealer about the situation and he said he would work with me. i don't have good credit so its unsecured credit. i just had a killer interview with a Chrysler jeep and dodge, 10 mins closer. 6 dollars more a hour. but i need to invest big time in tools. thinking I could get by paying 200 a month. not sure if its worth the investment. i know that everything doesn't have to be big 3 brand but i don't have the capital for lesser brands. what do you think? help me out brotha. 24 hourly. 90day guarintee for learning curve for switching from Hyundai to there manufacturers

I really don't like how Matco manufactures almost nothing that they sell, and most of it still not made in the US. Honestly, I'm not sure why anyone buys their tools when you can get the original OEMs stuff for way cheaper.
Well to be 100% honest about it Matco doesn’t manufacture ANY of the tools they sell. Not a single tool. They do manufacture the toolboxes but their tools (many of them anyways) can be bought from the OEM manufacturers cheaper, you just don’t get the service that comes with it. Several of the tools they sell are only available through Matco for example the ratchets, you can’t get them anywhere else. But the service you get (if you have a good dealer) is what makes it worth it. The truck coming to you, getting to put your hands on the tools before buying, the tool truck payments vs paying in full and also the replacement of warranty (and they will break if you use them)
@@KoonTrucking Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I see why Matco might be a decent choice for some people who want truck payments and ease of warranty. They obviously sell a lot of tools.

I loved matco wrenches until they told the chinese to make them and kept the price the same, nothing worse than trying to warranty a USA for a china wrench... you gotta be insane to pay tool truck price for chinese wrenches
