    Owners shower can fit two persons..quite good for shagging...Forward storages can hold three medical hemp each.I love catamarans they perfect for people with much toys like windsurfing equipment,bike,jet-ski.I think this is the best boat at 40ft range.Quite a bit real estate .I'd rather this to many other boats with high booms.Sadly I have to save more money sell my caravan and car to buy a beauty like this .Maybe in two or three years I can buy one second hand.Until then i will watch and dream of catamarans and trimarans.Thank you for nice videos

    Hi Mate, the 40 is a nice easy sailing cat, great for 1st timers, the older generation or just a small family, I really like the galley set up. For a performance cat I'm very impressed with the rigging and line of sight. The separate showers a winner. As u say she's only a 40 footer.
    Thanks for showing us around, I can't get enough of the pretty boats. I got excited I thought we were going to see the 44, oh well next week.🤣🌈🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🏳️‍🌈

      She is a great cat, looking forward to a test sail next year, but it will most likely be on the new 46/48 depending on what is in the water. As you say the 40/44 open are good starter cats if you are coming from a mono hull and entering the world of floating apartments, from what I do know is they perform well and for a 40ft cat I would take a Nautitech over some other production brands out there. I take it it’s starting to warm up down under,

    Excellent video ;) Any idea wether a 6foot5 guy would fit in this boat in terms of headroom outside under the bimini and in the saloon?

      Yes I would say so, I am 5ft9 and there was plenty of head room left.

    The first thing that grabbed me was for a Catamaran it really wasn’t too big. If I could actually get on with Catamarans (they hate me), this looks to be about the perfect size for me tbh.Great Tour of a surprisingly Nice Catamaran. Best Wishes, Fair Winds, and Safe Travels. It's funny how many people have trouble with cats especially when parking the dam things (wait for all the comments about me saying parking and using correct terms;)) I always say that if you are going to charter or sail a cat then go and drive a Tank for a day and you will find cats a piece of cake. One of the benefits I think with cats is if you are getting a little older and less steady on your feet they of a stable platform.

      @@SVTONICBoatWives As I'm a lot older and effectively only have one leg working, Cats in general I find have way too much space internally and externally, resulting in infirm people like me being thrown around like ball-bearings in a Pinball Machine. That's why I really liked that 40 foot Cat you recently toured, it was a pretty Safe Cat to be on. When still young and Superfit however, it was the resulting motion of each Hull hitting a wave at different times, which you nicely described as like a Bucking Bronco, that really did my head in. That is why, if someone as disabled as I am is looking for a Sailboat, there really is no substitute for a Monohull with adequate handholds and Security spots, both on Deck, and below deck, so you can't get catapulted from one side to the other below, or over the side on deck. The very large internal and External spaces on a Catamaran, are therefore a very Real problem, as bone breaking velocities can be achieved (yes that would be rare, but never say never). That's why things like Linear galleys are right our on my boats, due to ending up on my ear, even when young and Superfit. I suppose I just look for different things to most in a boat. Like with the Building industry, as a Roofing Specialist, the first thing I look at is the roof, which believe it or not, most people Never look at, despite it being what protects literally everything Under it. Best Wishes. Bob. ❤️

    What I noticed, by the way, is that the Jeannneau 55 has a cockpit or lounge area that is 5m wide, i.e. the entire width of the boat.
    This means she has more space in the stern/cockpit than most catamarans. Even the Privileg 580 only has a width of just over 4 m - in the cockpit. Have you noticed that yet?

    • @SVTONICBoatWives
      @SVTONICBoatWives  Рік тому

      Yes I did, and you are the first to point it out, there are a few more little things like that about the Jeanneau 55 that everyone has missed they just looked at the title and grumbled. I have a few Catamaran tours coming up, they are boats I chose to tour because I believe they are better for sailers and much better value for your hard-earned cash. But for the charter market and or for sailers that keep their boats in the sun, I reckon we are going to see more monos like the Jeanneau 55 coming on the market.

    Ciao Cpt,sempre chiare le tue spiegazioni. Un argomento che potresti trattare, potrebbe essere il trattamento della nafta per evitare la maledetta morchia che ostruisce il pre filtro nafta.😢😢😢Poi ti vorrei chiedere se quando devi fare una virata,il Genoa passa in mezzo tra il suo strallo e quello della trinchetta,oppure chiudi la vela e poi la riapri fatta la virata,io divento matto ognivolta.Buon vento cpt e come sempre un abbraccio al primo ufficiale

    Nautitech are a very intriguing Catamaran, and as Igor Stropnik says, they are a Sailors Catamaran that Sails well Upwind, and honestly, to me would appear to have a pretty amazing handling, that is nore in line with a Neel Trimaran and they are so Different, I do wo der if a Natitech might just be the First Catamaran that doesnt hate me with a Corkscrew Bucking Bronco type motion that does my head in. yes, the out of timing of the hulls hitting a wave at different times is still noticeable, but seems moderated enough to be more like that of a Trimaran, due to the strength and stiffness of the Construction, along with the beneral excellence of the Design? As for Self Tacking Jib setups, tome they are an almost complete waste of time, money and effort, and are no Substitute for the upwind performance of Monohulls, or Nautitech Catamarans and Trimarans, though every Catamaran Ive seen, including Nautitech, needs to stop Faffing around with Classic Masts and Stackpacka, and remove the Rod from People's Backs by replacing them with in Mast Furling Main Sails, add Genoa and Code Zero and Gennaker, and all Furling, and the exposed Helm positions no longer matter ? Just for giggles you could add Copies of the 1960's Isetta Bubble car Dodgers for each helm. I know, hard to imagine they were made by BMW isn't it. Voesprung thingy Trchnik or what ? 😅 Bob. Igor's Testing, journey and Review pf the Nautitech 46 for those interested - it's a bit long but good :

      @@brownnoise357 Igor is a good skipper and nice guy, I am fond of Nautitech and yes the motion is better on them than other cat brands.
      I wouldn’t touch a Neel now even if you paid me, we videoed and test sailed the new Neel 52, a few months ago and it was a disaster. We were warned under pain of death and legal action that under no circumstances were we to release the footage we took on any social media platform. So keep an eye out for that as we are putting together a production of Neel the disaster part one and two.

    Worth mentioning, even though I haven't tested them yet, it looks as though there is a Flexible Solar panel I should be able to recommend, given they have protection against Panel Delamination, which kills the majority of flexible solar panels within 2 years, and I don't know how good the warranty is though they come with a 10 year warranty which should see them good for twenty Years Rouge RV waterproof panels (though I would be extremely careful how I handle and bend them) so good for boats ? :
