My friends and I are beginning a Shadowrun campaign I am running very shortly. I have found a variety of these videos very helpful in learning this new (to me) system, and the three of you have made doing so hilariously entertaining. I look forward to watching more vids, keep up the great work.
This video was awesome guys! Love the banter and the humor while still getting across all the important basics. Looking forward to the rest of the magic nonsense coming up! :D
Awesome vid guys and very comprehensive guide to how magic works, might be nice to see a short vid from one or more of you about spirits but I understand why they were held out. You three certainly play well off one another and it was really great to see a video with all three of you.
Best Combat Mage Build: A Attributes B Orc C Magic D Skills E Resources. Use the Orcs natural bonus to Bod and Str to save points on phys attributes. Use the 4 pts from Orc to boost Magic and give edge 3. Skills get Spellcasting, Counterspell, Perception and Blades. Specialize in Combat Ax.
The spell effects thing is a slight homebrew but how I've done it is alchemically enchanted tomahawks to activate on contact (the GM has allowed for the enchanted tomahawks to ignore contact from my character but to activate when it hits another character)...doing this with projectiles which normally break on impact won't work because the alchemical preparation involves changing the appearance of the object with fetishes, etc. Destroying the fetishes by the object breaking ruins the preparations rendering the spell useless. Read the alchemy section in the shadow run 5th edition core rulebook
Playing a mage is both the most fun, and most annoying class. I love my character as he is just amazing to roleplay. At this point he basically is just comedic relief and we all love him.

Yeah we plan on doing spirits, ritual spellcasting and alchemy! But yeah the length on this video is hefty but there is so much magical content!
Thomas Stansfield Oh I understand, honestly surprised that you guys were able to fit so much of the magic system into one video.
Thanks man!

Cool Video.
Never forget Magic leaves lots of evidence. All that can be traced back.
Can you please do this for Technomancers?
Where is the rules for ritual summoning
The singular of foci is focus, isn't it?
Dharengo Yeah i think so, but to be honest we just kinda use foci all the time.
Where can I find that rule for throwing weapons with spell effects?
Wabbasha Are you talking about Blueys Alchemist? Look up enchanting/alchemy if so.
