It’s great to see a thin hair tutorial from someone who truly has thin hair like me. So often these videos have women with lots of hair. Looks like we have the same amount. Great job!
I always feel like nobody's hair is quite as thin and flat/straight as mine.. I am lucky that it does grow quite long though without the ends splitting. I wash my hair with kids shampoo which makes it feel more weightless/fluffy, also use dry shampoo and powder, but to be honest some days I can't be bothered and just do a 'ponytail' right on the top, but instead of pulling my hair through the bobble at the 'last turn' I make a loop, leaving half of the pony tail loose underneath, then I tilt my head forwards and put a medium size hairclip under the folded ponytail, just over the hair bobble and the hair on the back of my head so it grips firmly and the hair bobble isn't visible. I shake the hair up a bit over the hairclip so my hair 'sits' on it evenly, I then fold the loose bit of my ponytail coming out from underneath and fasten it under the hairclip so the clip is hardly or not visible either. It just looks like a semi-organised top bun, with a lot more volume because of the hidden hairclip and I always leave some strands out on the front so it looks more playful. But like I said, my hair is quite long, I think hair would have to be long for this to work if your hair is thin like mine
Exactly. They're like, "first you're going to section your hair into three pony tails." Then one of their three pony tails is more hair than you have on your entire head. I'm like "and stop video."
No kidding!!! Ive come across tons of videos that say hair styles for thin hair and im just thinking, "man, I wish my hair was that "thin"". Lol This is actually very helpful.
It's inspiring to find people on UA-cam with hair like mine who know how to style it well. My ponytail is about as thick as my thumb and it's so discouraging.
I can't stand when there are tutorials for "fine hair" and their hair isn't fine at all! Thanks for this tutorial! I used to work at a beauty supply and the only thing that's ever given me lift is TIGI root boost
Finally a person doing a thin hair tutorial who really got thin hair. UA-cam is full of girls with thick nice mermaid hair talking about their oh-so-thin hair.
Condolences Jody 🙈🤣. It’s so awful having thin and fine hair isn’t it. There isn’t much we can do so I’m so glad you found this video useful and informative. Good luck! Thank you so much for watching lovely❤️ xxxx
Talcum powder is linked to cervical cancer & other health issues. You can use natural Clay's in the same way. Bentonite clay or kaolin clay will do the same thing, without health risks. Love your videos & these tips!
Arrowrootpowder or finely milled corn starch. I put it on in the evening, so the next day it is invisible and gives my hair just the right amount of grip and fullness.
I use arrowroot powder sometimes, but even cheaper and more really available is cornstarch body powder. I've even found some that are scented like lavender, etc. Win win!
Thank you SO much for not only showing us how thin your hair is, but showing us how to style it without expensive additions or fancy time consuming process.
Thank you SO MUCH for hair tips from someone who truly has thin and fine hair - mine naturally looks EXACTLY like yours and won’t grow much further past my shoulders! I can’t wait to try this out tomorrow 💕
FINALLY! Nice to hear a British accent, for a change! Also someone who truly does have fine hair! Wasn't very keen on the music, but great to have a quietly spoken person too, who doesn't talk 100mph! I've subscribed! 🙂
LOVE! Finally someone with my type of hair! I know everyone else has already said this, but this means so much to me as a thin haired girl to see someone who knows how to work with it!
Love love love this. My hair is so thin and I always struggle to style it and feel good without extensions. Can't wait to try these styles. Nice to see another gal with fine hair that's actually fine not like these other videos you see. Only thing I'd say is dry shampoo and talc can be so damaging for your hair , I used to use this tip but I've known people to get bald spots from overuse so I try to avoid if poss xx
Thank you Emma. Oh I feel you! I am totally the same! I know! I always watch them and think, I wish I had your hair! LolZ Yes, I’ve heard a few people tell me that which is worrying bug I have mega greasy hair like to the point that if I was it in a morning, it’s greasy by lunchtime 🙈 and I really don’t like washing my hair everyday as it’s not great for it so I really struggle to find an alternative 🙈. Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxx
I agree. I like to leave my thin hair long enough to put up in a clip like yours. It is very becoming and it hides how thin your hair is. Love this video which I’m saving. Of course it helps to have a beautiful face like yours.
Thank you for this video. It’s nice to see someone else with TRUELY really thin and fine hair like I do. I found your video very helpful. You rock! Also a tip: If you have darker hair like me, mix baby powder with coco powder for a dark hair diy dry shampoo
I hope people with thin fine hair offer questions they have about hair. I’d like to add even more information on our types of problem issues - like better products to us, best hair lengths, layering, scalp problems and solutions. I need videos with people that understand thin fine hair types of issues. Let’s ask questions and share our own solutions. The one I can’t resolve is my scalp breaks out in pimple size bumps that cause a terrible itch. Doctors have no established known answer, or prescriptions . Some think it’s sunlight. I’ve just subscribed and would like this subject matter to grown viewers. No, I don’t know this lady, lol, but I sure have fine thin hair and I think it’s written off because most people don’t identify or have knowledge of how to manage. I wish you luck.
Donna, I am no doctor, but I would like to suggest you try, only on the effected area of the scalp, any product with salicylic acid. Neutrogena has a very mild version with 2%, but is pricey. The percent of salicylic acid is what matters most and is found in most products made for fighting acne; I have even found a knock off of Neutrogena at the Dollar Tree. It is basically a heavy duty exfoliater. I hope this helps; good luck.
I love this video I was wondering since my hair is fine To put my hair in a clip like Juliette,Do I tease my hair all over and then put it up with a clip.I want to wear my hair up everyday. In Texas it is so humid and hot.Any ideas for me to tease my hair to put it up anc add volume.Thank you.
Hello, thank you for making a video for really thin and fine hair. Most of the videos on this topic don't really have these problems. It is also very pleasing that you get to the point and do not spend much time talking about yourself or any products. Greetings from old Germany!
This gives me hope as it seems to be there are lots of us out there! I’ve just discovered your tutorials. I have mine tinted as I have white roots not grey and I constantly have little tufts sticking up. This updo will help big time so thank you x
I have the same problem as you, same “thickness” and length and I feel so insecure about my hair honestly.. but the way you put your hair up made me smile, and nod that it indeed made your hair look so much fuller! I’ll definitely try this myself ☺️ btw you’re gorgeous keep it up! Love from Sweden 🇸🇪
Agree with comments. Finally someone who actually has thin hair doing a tutorial. When people have a medium amount or lots of texture it isn’t very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you! My hair is pretty much as thin as yours (with random frizz at the base of my head that’s always a problem) and zoom calls make my hair look horrible! Thanks for some actual tips that I cannot wait to try!
Thank you so much Elizabeth. I’m so glad I made this video as I alwayS struggle to find people with actual fine hair too. Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxx
Thank you so much for this! I've got about the same thickness hair as you and many of the videos I have found do not show truly fine thin hair. I've always been a bit nervous of back combing, but I might give it another go now I have seen this.
So grateful for this. I am a mum of 2 boys too and my already thin hair thinned out even more after each pregnancy. I’m going to try this today! Dry shampoo at the ready!!
Hi. I have a son as well and my hair fell out after pregnancy and never fully returned to normal. It's been seven years and I had my son in my twenties so I thought I would be okay. Wandering if you experienced the same thing or if your kids are still very young?
Your lucky I have extremely thick Hair and tons of it it takes 8 hours to fully dry even after 20 minutes of blow drying and even then the underneath part is still a bit damp
I love dry shampoo for my thin, fine, and limp hair. After I shampoo it I let it air dry almost all the way but just before it's dry I spray some dry shampoo at the roots and it's amazing
Hi from the U.S.... just found your channel... thank you for this tutorial! I'm going to try that little twist you do before putting in the hair clip. It's nice to see someone with ACTUAL thin and fine hair make their hair look like it has so much more volume! I love your background china cabinet! I'm going to "putter" around your channel and consider subscribing! Thanks again!
People don't realize how thin our hair actually is .thankyou,I really struggle having thin fine hair,it will be interesting to find out the type of extensions you use too my love, also can be challenging, I'm using tapes at the moment
It's so damaging to hair to backcomb it. And dying it will thin it out even more. We need to learn how to embrace our fine and thin hair for the beauty that it has instead of trying to look like we have a different texture and volume of hair. If we don't do damaging things like this to it, we can actually have a healthier head of hair that looks beautiful while still being able to do beautiful updo's. That's actually what I was looking for when I stumbled on your video. It is really nice to see someone who actually does have hair just like mine, but my hair has gotten worse over the years because I've done exactly what you are recommending. I'm 46 now with terrible hair and looking for hairstyles to wear while I grow it out and make it healthier. I'd love to see videos that are aimed in that direction.
After watching this I'm definitely going to buy a backcombing brush. My hair is similar to yours, maybe about an inch and a half shorter and I love your ideas. You have a new subscriber.
I no longer fight with my fine, thin hair which I've had since I was a kid and I'm 65 now. Number 1, I went blonde from being brunette. I was in my late fifties when I decided to do that. I used to colour my hair to cover up the grey at home. I got fed up with doing that and decided to get a hairdresser to do it instead. She said to me that actually, if I went blonde, the grey would hardly show. It was a huge change, but I went crazy and said "do it!" For weeks, when I walked into the bathroom and caught myself in the mirror I actually jumped beause I wasn't used to seeing this blond woman. Now, wouldn't go back. The other important point is being blond actually gives the illusion of thicker fuller hair so long as it's not long. Number 2: after years of having long hair and putting it up ALL the time because if it was loose, it looked really ragged and ratty, I decided to cut it short. I didn't have short hair for all that time because I was convinced that having short hair would mean I had to "do things with it" every day. With my long hair, just got up, brushed it and put it up in a bulldog clip. Easy peasy. However, once I had my hair cut short, I realised that actually that wasn't true. All I do is get up, brush it and that is it. My hair no longer looks thin and wispy but actually, it looks fairly normal!!!!!
Thank you!! My hair looks exactly like yours in terms of thinness and fineness. Someone FINALLY got it right! Usually most "fine" or "thin" hair tutorials don't show someone with actual thin hair. Question for you: how do you keep your hair from breaking off around your face and crown? I know hair breakage is common with fine, thin hair, and I'm trying to combat it.
I couldn't stop laughing, because you mentioning the baby powder gave me the funniest flashback. I have dark brown hair, and my hairdresser advised me to use it because I wash my hair too frequently. I put some in, and I immediately went all grey. I couldn't stop laughing. Thanks for reviving that hilarious memory 😂
You earned a subscriber. I've always had fine hair but it started falling out 5 years ago due to hormonal issues, so now I have literally half the hair I used to... I'm always royally embarrassed when I put my hair up because you can see my scalp, it's so bad. I'm gonna try this and see if the back-combing (I call it "teasing" like some others) helps with the volume and perhaps helps cover some of my scalp. I love wearing my hair up but haven't due to being self-conscious. Thanks for this!
Aww thank you so much Catharine, so lovely to have you. I’m so sorry to hear about your hormonal issues. I have always had thin and fine hair but after I had my children it has gone from bad to worse. I know how you feel. I have dark roots at the moment due to no hairdressers been open in the UK and I’m more self conscious than ever. I hope the tips help. ❤️❤️❤️ xxxx
I’m a bald gal with a round face and those do not mix well so I will definitely try the back combing, the bun looks amazing on you but ill look weird, but thanks for the tips ur a life saver.😊
You are very welcome Alexis! I totally feel you, I have a round face too, thank the lord for contouring 🤣. Backcombing is definitely great when done right! Makes such a difference Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxx
@@BeingMrsDudley, I just stopped by for the first time. You're very response here is so sweet and funny...I just subscribed! You are such a kind and warmhearted person, for what I see from the video (and your Aura). Thank you for sharing your ideas and wisdom with us. 🤗💞 Many blessings.
I used to love and use that hair clip that you love as well EXCEPT that my hair is so fine and thin, that it irritates my scalp to use, Do you have any other recommendations to avoid this problem? I appreciate your help!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗
You are lovely. Your accent and voice are beautiful. That being said, I really learned a lot. The back brushing for sure, the baby powder is a no. It is linked to some cancers. But the idea would work with arrowroot or rice powder. Makes sense and I never thought of it, but am trying it tonight. Thank you. Peace and love
Thank you for this! Like others I get frustrated with most videos with tips for fine hair because they have ALOT of hair. Do you get more breakage with back coming? How do you undo the back combing without damaging the hair? Thanks again I'm going to try this!
You’re very welcome Nadia! I totally agree I don’t think ive seen one with hair as thin and fine as mine yet. I don’t find I have any breakage 🤗, if you do it properly and are careful, back combing can be really safe to do. I think a lot of people either put too much product in the hair or hold the hair too tight. It’s very easy to tease out if you start from the bottom and work your way up the hair and gently brush it. I find tangle teasers are great. Also using a bit of leave in conditioner works a treat tooZ You’re very welcome! Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxxx
You’re my savior! I’ve started losing hair due to stress over the last couple of months, and even though I’m doing stress management and are on vitamins/supplements, it isn’t getting any better. My doc doesnt want to prescribe strong medication (like minoxidil) because I also have a skin problem, so I’ve just resorted to hair styling to hide my thinning hair (most visible near the right forehead). I’ll do your tips as soon as I get a proper tease brush, I only have a fine comb and a wide toothed one (I dont brush anymore Im too scared)
Thank you for your tips. My hair in thin and fine. I wear a chip in it almost everyday. Also it falls out really bad. It always has since I've got older. It doesn't matter what kind of vitamins I take or anything shampoo I use.
Glad to have found you! My hair looks exactly the same. Wish I’d seen a comb out to convince me the teasing does no harm? I’m 70+ now, and haven’t back-combed my hair since the bouffant styles of the ‘60’s. Another wish is where you buy your decorative clips? I hadn’t tried the black one, as they’d seemed too small. But l’d like to try your go-to, everyday upright style. I’d need silver clips, though, vs. gold for my white hair... Looked, but didn’t see any links to clips. Thanks so very much. I’ll be watching more! Linda
This is perfect for me my hair comes down to my bum but its so thin, I cut in a side fringe to frame my face as it was so thin and limp the loreal fibrology range help my hair loads and I love bulldog clips to clip my hair too so handy this was great! 💖👏
Oh wow Eve! That’s amazing! My hair never grows any longer than it is now, ever 🙈 ooh I’ve never tried that one, I will have a look at it. Thank you 😊 so glad you enjoyed it and it will come in useful! Thank you so much for watching lovely, as always ❤️ xxx
omg me too gurl, other people's fine thin hair is thick ! I have hair like you! 8 found once my hair is bleached is way easier to deal with but it's horrible damaged and doesnt get very long but it has body, lol
Aww Sarah! I’m so glad you found it helpful! Sounds like you’re like me and have watched a lot of tutorials on “thin” hair 🤣. So happy you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxx
Back combing fine hair breaks them especially if it is done repeatedly. Fine hair should be blunt cut much shorter like a Bob. Using a volumising shampoo and conditionner does help and also a root lifter before blowdrying. Fat Muk or John Freida gives good results. I have fine hair and not a lot of it. I have used both of these products with great success. They are reasonably priced too. 😊
It’s great to see a thin hair tutorial from someone who truly has thin hair like me. So often these videos have women with lots of hair. Looks like we have the same amount. Great job!
Thank you lovely! I totally agree, I watch videos sometimes and I’m like “I wish I had your hair!!” 🙈.
Thank you so much for watching ❤️ xxxx
Me too! Just saw this video! Love it - I think there are a "few" of us!
Alot are wearing extensions actually most are pls keep that in mind hun
I always feel like nobody's hair is quite as thin and flat/straight as mine.. I am lucky that it does grow quite long though without the ends splitting. I feel the same, finally someone who has as mutch of hair as me. Finally some real tips because i have no Idea what to do with it
Wow I'm thrilled with video thanks so much 💖💖💖😘
No kidding!!! Ive come across tons of videos that say hair styles for thin hair and im just thinking, "man, I wish my hair was that "thin"". Lol This is actually very helpful.
Right?! I’ve never had someone with my hair exactly! My pic on here is with clip ins in 😂
It's inspiring to find people on UA-cam with hair like mine who know how to style it well. My ponytail is about as thick as my thumb and it's so discouraging.

I could cry I am so happy to find someone with as thin and fine hair as myself. Thank you!!! I subscribed. Love from Alaska.

You could just choose not to put talcum powder close to your cervix.
Talcum powder doesn't need to be near your cervix to cause cancer? That's not really how it works. But do your thing 💁🏻♀️

Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxx
Ya like half ups and space buns are tiny
I sometimes blowdry my hair with it flipped forward/upside down, nice easy way to add volume without any dry shampoos or sprays!
I agree. I like to leave my thin hair long enough to put up in a clip like yours. It is very becoming and it hides how thin your hair is. Love this video which I’m saving. Of course it helps to have a beautiful face like yours.

We have the same hair! I've always been self conscious about it and I'm so happy to find someone who can help me. !!
Oh my gooooosh thank you. Usually these girls in thin hair videos don't even have thin hair. This was SO useful!! Thank you!

Please do a tutorial on hair extensions ( if you haven’t). I assumed I couldn’t wear them because of having thin hair.
Omg I thought I was the only one with thin fine hair 😩😭
So helpful thank you. Your hair is the first I’ve seen that looks like mine. Great job.

Fabulous! At last somebody with fine hair giving tips! I loved the dry shampoo tip and the messy bun. Great job, thanks!
At last! I found a channel for my thin but beautiful hair!❤️
Happy to find another that has fine hair like mine. Others clearly don't know what fine means and post their thick hair and call it thin. Lol
Your hair is just like mine, so you know what you're talking about and thank you for sharing your ideas with us.

Thank you for this. I have super fine, thin hair like yours. So good to know I can do something to make it look better! 💖
Great video!! Seems 99% of people have thick hair (and lots of it) so it's rare to find videos on fine/thin hair. Love your tips :)
Wow, what a fantastic video. Finally someone who has very very thin hair like mine!! I'm so glad I found you. Thank you for sharing xx
Thank you for making a video about thin hair and ACTUALLY having thin hair!!! It’s so hard to find videos with my same hair type :(
I agree with the comment below a fine hair tutorial from someone with actual fine hair. My hair is exactly like yours, going to try the up do. X
Yay..I’ve finally found someone with hair like mine, great tips...I’ve subbed 👍
Fab‼️👍🙏 my hair is really fine too, & I tend to have it up in a messy bun also. I never think of back combing it tho, so might give it a try xx
Aww Lynn, you know my pain then! Definitely give it a go, it’s great for a night out....when I go out 🤣. Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxx
I have been looking every were to do this hairstyle.Thank you So easy and classy.Love this video.
You still look great, you go girl, you got this!!!!!
ROCK ON!!! STAY COOL!!!
OMG I think your hair is one of the most beautiful and eye-catching hairs I've ever seen in my life 😍😍
Thanks this is the first real thin hair vid I see with good tips
Oh!! And a suggestion for a regular everyday brush? Natural bristle or nylon or plastic tines, etc?
❤️❤️❤️ xxxx
OMG it was great seeing someone with my hair only in a different color, mine is dark brown.
This is great thank 😊. I had an eating disorder which sadly destroyed my hair so this was just what I was looking for!
Makes such a difference
Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxx
@@BeingMrsDudley, I just stopped by for the first time. You're very response here is so sweet and funny...I just subscribed! You are such a kind and warmhearted person, for what I see from the video (and your Aura). Thank you for sharing your ideas and wisdom with us. 🤗💞 Many blessings.
I have the exact same hair as you and it’s the bane of my existence, thanks for the help , great vid!
My hair is just the same! I am going to try the messy bun technique you showed - I never thought it possible!
I used to love and use that hair clip that you love as well EXCEPT that my hair is so fine and thin, that it irritates my scalp to use, Do you have any other recommendations to avoid this problem? I appreciate your help!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗
cocoa powder is great for brunettes!
I have used cornstarch. My hair is blonde.
You are lovely. Your accent and voice are beautiful. That being said,
I really learned a lot. The back brushing for sure, the baby powder is a
no. It is linked to some cancers. But the idea would work with arrowroot
or rice powder. Makes sense and I never thought of it, but am trying
it tonight. Thank you. Peace and love
Thank you so much! Definitely going to try this. You are very beautiful, and I'd love to see you wear your natural hair colour too!
Also using a bit of leave in conditioner works a treat tooZ
You’re very welcome! Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxxx
THANK YOU! Finally a thin hair tutorial and the person doesn't have 10 times the hair I do!
Hello from Canada 😊 Definitely going to try the baby powder! Going out tomorrow to get a back combing brush as well!
Linda
Love your hair color, looks so fresh on you
Awesome and simple share that anyone can do. Thank you for your share 🥰
Finally! I’m so weary of videos claiming their model/themselves, have thin hair when it’s fine, at best!
My hair is thin and I'm looking for things to do with it. Thank you! I just subscribed!
You are so right about this others posting videos and they have lots of hair. Now your hair is just like mine
Thank you!! I am so frustrated with my baby fine hair!! I will try this.
My hair is like yours. I keep it no longer than shoulder length. Be careful to not use actual "talc" (don't know if they all stopped making it).
Thank you so much for sharing this idea!!!
omg me too gurl, other people's fine thin hair is thick ! I have hair like you! 8 found once my hair is bleached is way easier to deal with but it's horrible damaged and doesnt get very long but it has body, lol
I love last hairstyle, just tried it on my hair, looks great! Thank you for the idea!
thank you, great vid!! And you do have fine hair, most vids are with ladies that think they do but really don't :)
Very intersting, I would be interested in the talcum powder trick tutorial.
Hooray. You actually do have hair as thin as mine. I might actually learn something.
My hair gets so absurdly tangled that just the thought of back combing it, makes me cringe 😬
An actual tutorial to help! Thank you! I love the simple teasing tips!
Aww Sarah! I’m so glad you found it helpful! Sounds like you’re like me and have watched a lot of tutorials on “thin” hair 🤣. So happy you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching lovely ❤️ xxxx
Bentonite Clay powder. You can make a light water shampoo and use powder on dry hair to remove grease and thicken.
Mine is just as thin if not more. I also love dry shampoo!! Amazing stuff!!
That’s so lovely, well done
Back combing fine hair breaks them especially if it is done repeatedly. Fine hair should be blunt cut much shorter like a Bob. Using a volumising shampoo and conditionner does help and also a root lifter before blowdrying. Fat Muk or John Freida gives good results. I have fine hair and not a lot of it. I have used both of these products with great success. They are reasonably priced too. 😊
I love your hair colour !
Lovely up-do!
Thank you!!! I have hair just like you and I get so frustrated by all the “thin hair” videos that are people with like 10x the hair
Great video so needed this a mine is so thin after 3 kids .
Your hair is lovely, great tips thank you
