I love Yusuf's little laugh at the end. He really did save the rest of the team without any of them actually seeing him do it.
Yusuf came back for avatar 2 lol
I mean, Joseph’s character can lowkey read between the lines since his world was the one messed up.
The others don’t know, but he can make the inference.
This scene was done with no CGI, they build the whole spinning Hallway set with Joseph Gordon-Levitt did his own stunts. A great dedication!!! One of the best fight scenes and cinematic experience ever 🙌🙌🙌
So innovated scene
then you add in Hans Zimmer's soundtrack and it is pure perfection!
Bring me nolan
Close, but there were times when Joseph Gordon-Levitt used a stunt double when they transition to the hotel room.
Yep he takes 1 week or something to get trained himself
The first time watching this it was so intense
Hans Zimmer's score makes this scene more intense especially during this part 0:52
Especially in the cinema
Yes it was, and the second time !
I feel bad for the stunt guy JGL is fighting, nobody knows who he is and he's in one of the most iconic moments in movie history.
I’m sure he’s a legend in the stunt community. Can you name a single stuntman, other than Cliff Booth?
It’s sad that the academy still doesn’t recognize the greatness of stuntmen and stuntwomen.
I’ve read somewhere that his name is “Marvin Campbell”, he’s been in a lot of James Bond movies too
@@IAmAFamelBrad Pitt played him
You probably know in which movie
@@EnricoPacuthat was his point. Cliff Booth isnt real. He only exists as a character played by Brad Pitt. The real stuntman he was based on was most likely named Hal Needham
Christopher Nolan + Hans Zimmer + Joseph Gordon-Levitt = Makes a perfect original fight scene
And during the whole fight scene in a spinning hallway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's hair stays perfect 😂
True, I wish that I could achieve tidy hair from standing in a rapidly revolving hallway like he can! 😂
Hair Gel....
Actually it wasn't CGI, that rotating hallway was constructed for the scene.
He might had been using Hair Gel.
@@Agent-bw1np that's pure practical effect
Well thats just a dream😅

Ladies and Gentlemen, one of the Best Cinematic Moments
I love the camera angles in this scene. Christopher Nolan is a master director, and the cast is pitch perfect! 😍
yeah. and how it switches between the hallway fight part and the car driving in the rain part
James Franco was offered for role as arthur

The amount of work by every single member of the team that went into this film is just crazy.
In 50 years, this will still look as real as it did 10 years ago and today.
Well, it should considering it was all practical effects
Funny you should say that, considering it was used in film 50 years before inception.
Well, yeah, that's the beauty of Christopher Nolan not liking visual effects. This was all done practically with a rotating hallway set, and because of that everything behaves like it would in real life, because it was actually in real life. If this was done with computer effects, it would definitely not be as clean and realistic as this.
They put in way more effort, but their effort 100% paid off, because it created one of the greatest moments in any movie ever.
the score in this scene is so epic, but when the van flips over, GODDAMN the music is just MASTERFUL
Remember seeing this in theaters and feeling everyone in the audience holding their breath in awe of this scene. I saw it three times in theaters and each time after the fight was over someone would say "Oh my god." It was a pretty unreal feeling to feel an entire audience on the edge of their seat together for some masterful film making.
i was obsessed with this scene when the movie first came out. i was only 10 years old lol but i still remember always watching this scene anytime i gotta chance to hop on youtube
It's great. Also watch Heat. Bank robbery scene. 1995.
Actual bank robbers emulated that scene
After more than a decade, this is still one of the most mind-blowing fight scenes ever created in cinema. The intense score really helps it.
And this is how you go from a distinguished filmmaker to a absolute GOAT of filmmaking.
This is one of these movies you wish you could watch for the first time again.
0:52 the moment you know you’re watching an iconic masterpiece
I don't use this word lightly, but this movie is a masterpiece.
Masterpiece of movie. Easily Nolan’s best and definitely in my top 5 of all time. Everyone’s acting is ridiculous with Leo and Cillian standing out.
A new spin on the hallway fight scene.
*literally*
Good one 👌😂
This was bullet time of the 2010s
Saw this movie when I was 16 and thought this was overrated. Now I realise what an incredible fool I was.
One of the great movies of all time!!!!!
one of the best scenes of all time
I imagine Alfred fighting like this.
He'll be like : Bloody hell, my back hurts 😂
@@15Candles whats the point of doing all those pushups if you cant lift a bloody log
Joseph really trained for most of this scene
Don't forget the stuntmen, they trained the most and rarely get any recognition from general public. This henchman who fights Arthur is brilliantly played by Marvin Campbell, one of the greatest stuntmen in recent movie history, with many awards received.
NO CGI ON THIS SCENE. Amazing.
This movie was ahead of its time
This scene, which uses zero CGI, looks more real than most modern-day action scenes
@@Howlingburd19well it does look real because it is real😀
This scene is great because you can see the action clearly. JGL did his own stunts which means no quick cuts. The camera stays on them in wides.
Bro the music and the fight go so well together
That basically describes the whole movie :)
yep
That's why Christopher Nolan always works with Hans Zimmer for his movies (with the recent exception of Oppenheimer, as he was busy with a different movie).
Hans Zimmer is one of the best cinematic composers of our time.
0:49 bruh... Gravity was not stopping him from laying them handz!!
It’s been thirteen years since this came out, and I am still amazed when I watch this. Exceptional filmmaking!
I love Inception!👏
Joseph was awesome on that movie where he's a bad guy who never shuts his mouth then mickey rourke introduced his magnum to his face hahahaha
Killshot? 😂 yea
how many times you want to watch this
me : yes
my heart wanted to bust out watching this!!!! good memories
I'm very greatful & proud to live in the lifetime of Christopher Nolan, Hans Zimmer, Wally Pfister & Chris Corbould
Such a great set up and good stuns. You can see Nolan’s improvement in directing actions.
Greatest film of all time.
Bring this back to cinema
Every time I see this scene I get the biggest chills of my life !!!
It’s crazy when you think about it, because Arthur’s not really fighting a man here, he’s fighting a part of Fischer’s mind that has been “militarized” to protect him from others trying to break into his mind. He’s literally weakening Fischer’s mind here, so he’s more easily persuaded and weak and vulnerable mentally
You don’t see risky movies that much anymore. Making a high budget movie with an original idea (and isn’t affiliated with a franchise or the superhero genre) is a lot more rare today. Today, such concepts are considered to be “risky” as the possibility of the movie being a flop is higher (because general audiences aren’t familiar with the new idea like they are with other popular franchises). Inception ended up being a big success (critical and financially) and was the the 4th highest grossing movie of 2010 :)
Inception is next level movie in the world
This scene was Nolan at his best
My favourite actor ❤️

JgL was and still is the most amazing, great actor of all time 👏 👏 👏 👏 ❤️ this cean
This is in my top 5 easily.
Hey! I remember that scene... pretty good.
What is it about hallways and always having the perfect fight scenes?
I watched it in theatres best fight scene in that era
Best movie in the world
Hard to believe that i have only seen Inception once, it's such a damn good movie.
Gotta fix that. 😊
i loved this movie. very confusing if you don’t decide to watch the whole thing though
That Gun picking by JGL is same to same in "TENET" by JDW
mans geting shot out of a van lmao😂
Isso é tão maravilhoso
PRACTICAL EFFECTS BEFORE CGI
That's my motto
Great
It still blows my mind that this is all practical
Nice 📽️ film 😊
Easy one of mi favorite scene in inception
Watch this scene on your phone and spin it around as they fight. It looks like you’re the one throwing them around
Finally 🔥
Ayyy inception
I thought you already had the movie covered
He ran into the S-Tier projection
I wish I could do this in real life. I'm so jealous 😯🙂🙁
Badass

Man lol, if by chance you’re a level under (dreaming) and the walls feel hot to touch and it starts to feel like a burning inferno, you know y’all crashed and are possibly burning.
And you’ll definitely get a “kick” outta that.
Arthur, respect for continuing to fight it to the end 😳
Arthur: “Wouldn’t be good at my job if I didn’t.”
0:45 😨
Anyone know the name of the other guy in the fight; assuming he’s a stuntman? Always felt he never got his due respect for this scene. It does take 2 to tango.
He's Marvin Campbell, one of the greatest stuntmen in recent movie history. Received 3 Taurus Awards (like the Oscar of stunts) for Casino Royale, The Dark Knight and Inception. He even appears in one of the film's posters, a much deserved recognition.
Just found out that Highschool Musical 3 had a spinning hallway scene in 2008.

Interesting...
When you stand up too soon on the bus:
This is way better then Avengers endgame
Ah yes..
Can somebody EXPLAIN to me what was happening in room 528 during this scene. Were the team members also getting thrown about??
Does movie clips heart comments or is it just a bot

The only thing i hate about this movie and especially this scene is that i didnt watch it in the theatre
