Proof Bread
125 W Main Street
Mesa AZ 85201
Proof Bread is a modern throwback to a way of life that values small-scale craftsmanship, local community, and creativity.
We are a team of passionate bakers working in a historic building in downtown Mesa that has been converted into a retail bakery.
Everything we bake is long-fermented with our sourdough starter ‘Harriet’. Each product is artisan, crafted by hand, from the best local ingredients, with no shortcuts.
We bake in line with 13,000 years of human history, avoiding artificial processes and unnecessary ingredients. Honoring tradition and serving better bread for our community.

What a great idea for a social event! Hopefully people would not be shy in trying these!
My cold and distant Scandinavian heart is a little more warm and fuzzy now. 😊
I wish I lived where your bakeries are so that I could purchase your delicious breads 😢. Love your bread tips and the love of bread. Thank you.
Bake it yourself! There is a UA-cam channel named food geek. He's Danish and he has a very accessible recipe for rye bread.
This rye bread is so good.
If you have polish or Lithuanian supermarkets around you, do pay them a visit and grab yourself a scalded rye loaf.
I absolutely love Smørrebrød. Its a heavy bread, so we Scandinavians put loads on it to rhr point that its q bit messy,ao we use knife and fork. The first time I used knife and fork in the UK they looked at me like I was a posh a-hole 😅. I'm not posh.
But, where is the pickled herring and fish roe ? 😢
Edit: it got mentioned
@@vaazig And if you're Norwegian, the canned mackerel in tomato sauce. ❤
@@espenstoroSwedish. So for us it's eggs with smoked fish roe on top that is the quirky one.
The mackerel is lovely as well
I like a good stinky cheese on good rye bread. There is a cheese called Stinking Bishop that really hits the spot with a little sliced onion on it!!
I tip my danish hat to you good sir.
👍
