As someone with a wonky left calcaneus, I rewatch this periodically. I love Jay's work and use my mobo board quite often (in conjunction with the also excellent toe pro). Some people get frustrated by their weak links--I use the weakness as data that can help bulletproof those areas. Thanks for this great video.
This Masterclass should have 10 million views!! Jay and Lawrence together OMG! In 3 years I would be surprised if this was not the best class on running and anatomy evaluation...
This is super helpful .. finally someone that knows real facts and how our feet and joints actually move and function from a mobility and anatomical point of view(proactive) .. it's plenty of so called "running gurus" on youtube that just talk nonsense about force, balancing and stability blah blah and show you how good they are at standing on one foot bobbling all over the place,, that' doesn't help nobody on the contrary it's even harmful...
i'm 9 months out from a dual stress fracture of base of 4th and 5th metatarsals on left foot. i've had stretches of a few weeks where I can work up to 30-40k, of easy running, and the running isn't painful, but pain/tenderness is pretty bad after the run and sometimes the next day. Last week I realized (while attempting to do the million dollar move) that my left hip shoots out to the side when I stand on my left foot (unless I really focus on this not happening), with a lot of pressure on outside edge of left foot (which triggers pain at the injury site to be sure). my plan has been to strengthen the various left glutes, but this video has revealed to me the 'bottom half' of the underlying issue. I'm hopeful that I can incorporate the stretches / motor retraining in this video to begin to build a foundation that won't leave me as prone to injury as a year ago. Thanks for uploading this!
I’m enjoying this markedly, thank you so much for putting this together (it’s gold). Alas, the sound quality is unideal, just a big difference between your mics (I’m not tech savvy whatsoever so I don’t know if it’s reasonable to propose some investigation for next podcast?) I appreciate you both greatly!
Besides the sound quality, this video could have been much better if, instead of a stationary camera, you had a camera operator who could pan and zoom as necessary to make sure that the body part being discussed is actually in the camera frame.

Awesome John. Good luck. Also work on neural tension too. Let me know how it goes.

Yeah hopefully Jay and I get together again and maybe do a redo. We are good at treating people not sound technicians 🤣🙏🏻
@@LawrencevanLingen oh I am on the exact same page and I would turn up and down the volume in favour of your beautiful gifts of insight a n y d a y!

True words. Was filmed as a zoom during the pandemic and we decided to post it to the internet because the knowledge was great
That was so good!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks Michele
Would be 10 times better if he had a microphone.
Apologies for the sound
