@@blahkayonaFriday My response if it is questionable (in recreationable) I tend to call the ball on my/our side as 'Good enough' as long as my partner agrees. Saves aggrevation but yes, if it is obvious it ruins the moment. In this game it did not matter.
@@34N119W hm. Seems like they either need two refs (probably only use one for smaller tournaments), or ability to challenge to review a replay. Cause that was just atrocious
Hey! The quality of the video is great now. What happened? The problem I had must have been from my end. I'm going to watch it again from the beginning. :) This was a great game but was not the game I had trouble seeing before. Well ... I've learned not to trust my mind and memories these days!
The guy in grey had two issues that helped swing the match. He wasn't getting into a good split step in transition and had trouble fielding balls at shin height that should have been manageable. And too many of his attacks flirted with going long or actually went long.
I don't know how High Definition (HD) works exactly but I watch a lot of PickleBalls, Tennis, and PingPong on UA-cam. Sometimes they go out of focus (like yours) for a couple of seconds but the camera person corrects it. In your case, it was never corrected and I started getting a headache, so, I stopped watching it. Maybe it's on my end but only when I was watching that wonderful game and I thought I should give u feedback so I can enjoy your other games.
Way too much emphasis trying to catch a foot fault at the kitchen by 2 refs rather than actual play. Way too many points get missed by calls being determined by the players themselves.
The primary job of the ref is to watch for foot faults. They are not making line calls unless one side disagrees with a call and asks for the ref's opinion.
That ball was WAY in
OMG!!! That out call was the worst call I have seen in Pickleball!
34:25 literally Worst call I’ve ever seen, glad they won the next point

The ball was in, they need glasses!
Terrible call, ref should be able to overrule that!
That bad call looked reaaaally familiar😂 I would have to see that opp in the parking lot after that
@34:23
I feel like the ref didn’t even look
@@camper8062 The refs primary job is not ball calls but foot faults. One side was up so he only looks at the advantage side for foot faults.

The call for point 8 for the winners of the second game @34.15 is atrocious.

Great point at 20:06 😀
My sister played in Gold match mixed 4.0 over 60, any chance you got film of that?
No, sorry. We weren't able to record the 4.0 60+ gold.
Wow, it looks so tame compared to the people I play with!
Do you play at the pro level? If not, I assure you this level of play is not "tame."
Rec play doesn’t count.. enter a tournament (sounds like you should enter 5.0), then upload the video….

Never knew there was a 10 second rule.
Was this the gold medal match? If not what round was it?
This is not the gold match. Sorry, but we don't know the round.
@@TeamHanlonPickleball Thanks, figured it wasn't the gold medal match. While they are good they are not at the 4.5 gold level medal level.
3:52 huge foot fault. 😂
3:20 too😅
The girl in black dress plays really good
Good games but the quality of the recording camera was poor (out of focus.)
Quality looks HD on our end. Maybe your internet connection is slow and UA-cam is reducing the resolution?
@@TeamHanlonPickleball Yes, quality is good.

nice
All these matches I watch the Nobody serves well. Don't understand why they don't make the serves harder to return.

Mostly the refs job is to only call foot faults and the players call the line calls. If the ref sees the line call, they can over-rule it
