why is there so many people watching some old farts playing this degen of a "sport"?
cringe
This is nonsense. they are all at least 4.0 i lost a Gold medal match in 3.5 and then come to find out that the 2 we lost to both played in 4.5 mixed doubles
I disagree with the call at 15:20 her ATP was called fault because she crossed the net plane. If contact is made on her side of the net, then she can carry over. Also, if the momentom of the ball that went over the net did come back across due to backspin off the net, then she is allowed to cross. Either way, it should not have been disallowed, in my opinion. Thoughts?
The ref call at 7:11 was interesting, her hand was underneath the ball upon release so I'm not sure how she could be accelerating the ball towards the ground.
Great game about the younger team. I think notably the losing team hardly won a single point once they started forcing every single ball to the player in white. He completely exposed them
The guy in the peach/salmon shirt has an illegal serve most of the time. Very little kitchen work. Definitely 3.0 play.
How would you compare it to the Black Ace? I want to add more spin to my game. I have a hard time generating power, so help in that area would be great.
Red tank-top should really spend some time drilling her backhand. Looking pretty rough with the current form
3.5 perhaps
4.5? I am happy to know I am over 5.0 LOL
This is not a 4.5 level, maybe 3.2ísh
Happy to see some new videos from you. One of my favorites to watch is Team Hanlon!
Thanks for watching!
They're not 4.5
you can just google it. They are the winners of 4.5 tournament
While dupr ratings are usually different per region, these players definitely look around 3.7-3.8. Someone said they’re close to 4.5? Lol definitely not. 4.0 players in Texas would beat them pretty easily
Sloppy match; way too many unforced errors.
The women are clearly better than the men in this particular match.
I rank players and I gotta say these players rank between 4.5 and 5. Definitely not 3.5
ㅠ
Seniors? 65 and up?
Wow that ball was so in. What a cheater.
Videos do make things look slower. Looks similar to guys i play with but i play 4.0. I am also in the 19-34 age group though so that could be part of it. They look like solid players.
These ladies are good. Wonderful match to watch.
Wondering why the camera was moved, so we could only see 2/3's of the court? Tough watching you can't see the full court. Thanks though!
The guy in the Engage shirt has terrible body language. Can't stand playing with people like that, no matter how good he / they are!
Yep, I noticed that and to be honest I also have been guilty at times. It's another opportunity to be more aware and do better.
With courts this narrow, what are they supposed to do if there's an atp opportunity on the side the judge is on? Seems like he could pretty easily get in the way of that
Seems odd, that they wouldn't disperse some lobs into this game? Several places where it may have worked well.
I have a question about pickleball? Is there any rule in pickleball that prohibits a person from having two paddles; a paddle in each hand when they are not serving the ball so that a person can return the ball without having to switch the paddle between hands during a point?
I know it’s 60+ but what category? 3.5? Maybe the better team might be 4.0
Really good players. There were a lot of missed drops and easy dinks. I know a lot of people in the comments said this is a 5.0 game, but there definitely were some simple mistakes not common in a 5.0 player. Definitely feels higher than 3.5. The soft gameplay typically separates the higher from the lower players.
One suggestion for the losing team here: make sure you serve it deep into the court. Why give them a free advantage immediately? Also, time to practice countering, blocking and resetting the kind of heat the guy in orange is giving.
This the sandbaging nationals?
No way this dude did that bball celebration at 2:04
The woman with the T-shirt got to be a 5.0
Play not bad for 3.0’s and that’s what they are. No 3rd shot drops or resets. Just hitting back and forth. No strategy or setting up points. Pop ups a plenty.
3.8-ish
I think they are 4.0. Definitely a lot higher than 3.5.
An inspiration to all of us old farts!......hope to be this agile at this age.....well done....
Chicago is using illegal serve.
That guy in black is serving illegal and I don’t mean serving he is tossing the ball up which isn’t legal
Often when I watch a 4.0 seniors match I think, "Nah, 3.5s." Not in this case: these are all good players. They make a very high percentage of thirds, have great rolls and keep-back shots, are all great at resetting the ball, and seldom attack when it's not appropriate. I enjoyed watching the match, and have taken away some lessons to improve my ~3.6 game.
is it me or the black dude is blind and cheating on line calls? holy jesus
At 0:45 is that not a fault for the partner stepping into the court before the serve?
I really need to start watching these in full screen, that progress bar is kinda a dead giveaway as to who won at a certain point
What level is this?
damn the skinny guy is ass
I do think they are 4.5 or more.
This is a good match to watch but not reflective of typical 3.5 play. The points are shorter in 3.5. Its more like a 4.0 match if we compare what other channels have for their 4.0 tournaments. The only difference I can see if that these players are sending cautious serves with lower pace compared to higher level tournaments.
you gotta understand how ratings work - they are localized. Some 3.5s would be 4.0s in other cities. So when they play (rightfully so) in a 3.5 tournament, the 3.5s that should actually be 4.0s will inevitably make it to the top.
The 3.0s here are not the same as the 3.0s in Oklahoma. It’s really bad here. 3.5s play down in the 3.0 division.
Oof, just when I thought the camera angle couldn't get worse, the 3 minute mark happened, lol
I apologize for coming off snarky, I really shouldn't phrase it that way, it's great that you film and upload these; but if I'm making an honest assessment, that dead center shot from behind one half of the court isn't great either. I'm sure there's probably some logistic difficulties with getting a better angle on some of these courts, but I feel like filming at just shy of a perpendicular angle to the court, just off-center and further back enough to capture the whole play area and all 4 players is better, if possible?
