Perfect. That's pretty much how I use it. Make a pdf and scribble. Make sur eyou read the manual fully because the neo reader features with annotations are revery powerful.
One thing that doesn't get mentioned much when talking about Boox devices is the better contrast of their screens because of the front-light. Compared to Remarkable and Supernote text looks so much darker and crisper, and the background so much whiter. This makes the appearance of your notes much more comparable to actual ink on paper. Generally I prefer the software approach taken by Supernote and Remarkable. But I really wish they'd catch up to Boox in this respect and release front-lit devices.
Occasionally I want to print a note I've made on my Note Air 2+. There is only one UA-cam video on this subject. It is dated, and the presenter's English is so accented that I cannot understand some of it. Have you done any tutorials on printing? Thanks, love your channel.
To be clear, are you saying that ALL these seven pluses of the PLUS are features that the Note Air 2 doesn’t have but the Note Air 2 Plus does have? I see that Boox seem to be positioning the Note Air 2 and its Plus variant as essentially the same devices with the exceptions of battery, magnets and colour (and therefore new case). Hopefully, things like better One Note integration, etc also apply or will very soon apply to the non-Plus version? I think you made the comment about hoping that the constant new iterations of Boox devices would not stop Boox also constantly updating software-wise their previously “not too long ago” released devices. Certainly Boox need to live up to that otherwise these constant updates become negative news for most (if not all) Boox owners and rather undermine the otherwise pretty compelling Boox experience. Looking forward to your in-depth comparison video. Thanks for all the work that you do here and also for your wonderfully soothing and calm voice and presentation! Take care!

Cheers! I'll pop that idea in the production queue... which is long at the minute unfortunately. But I think certain apps on boox might be a good mini series! I was just using the boox keyboard for the handwriting recognition. I've not been able to get gboard handwriting working on anything. I think the swipe to type is probably quicker though?!
@@KitBetts-Masters Thanks. I'm hoping gboard support improves because I often write in Indian languages, which are beautifully supported by google - I doubt they'll find any support on the onyx keyboard. So if I can get gboard's handwriting input working properly on onyx, this is the ideal device for me!
Hiya, I do love the larger ones! I think the price is too much for some to justify, and if you are just looking for a note book though you would be happy with A5. If you want to use split screen you probably want the A4!
It would be perfect if there is a model with 3700mAh and reduced 1mm thickness by removing the backlight layer. As I learned from the designer's webpage, the backlight adds 1mm. It would be stunning to have a thinnest 4.7mm tablet
* color and magnets? -> hardly worth a hardware update! * Google Play? * Trello? * Google docs? * Article mode in reader? * Voice recognition? * One Note? -> All these features are software, and should have just been a SW-update to the Note Air 2! Not worth releasing a hardware update! but that's how they make money: making tiny incremental updates and selling it as a new device.
Hiya, yes most of them are infact possible on the Note Air 2. Sorry if I've given the impression they were all exclusive to the note air 2 plus?! But I guess that's my point, there's an interesting couple of comments below which discuss this idea more! Thanks so much for your comment!

@@JPC326 this one is bigger, and the Nova Air C is colour, but apart from that they work mostly the same!
@@KitBetts-Masters OH INTERRESTING ! Is the Nova more recent ? The only drawback i haf for the Supernote or the Note Air was because they were not in color (commented on your other video)
If they have the same function that could be great for me. Does the hardware struggle with the color you think or its the same latency ?
Is there no color? I like to highlight my journal with color code on paper.
Boox don't have a 10.3" colour... Yet.
hope next snap gen8+ : 12gb of ddr: 256GB ssd: one slot sd card: and can out put hdmi/DP by type C
How is it reading pdfs?
It's good, the article mode is very useful for adapting larger content to the smaller screen.
Trello?
Problem is the pricing
100% my hope is that as eink tablets become more popular the price of the screens will come down. Also there will be more competition in the manufacturing of the screens. 😀🦍
Can anybody tell me if they've had luck with the note air 2 plus as a LEFTY? Thank you!!
Hiya, yeah, lefties tend to tell me they have a good experience with these tablets. Brandon Boswell is a teacher and is left handed, loves his note air 2+.
@@KitBetts-Masters Thank you, Kit! I have been watching your videos non-stop for the last couple weeks. Only after I made this comment did I notice your video with Brandon! I took the plunge yesterday and will soon be picking up my new note air 2+ to begin prep for my masters. Thank you so much!!
one final question, is it useable for lefties?
Hiya, no personal experience, but no reason it shouldn't be, it asks on first login which hand you write with. 😀
it is! there's a guy who just posted a video a few days ago of his review of this tablet and I was confused why his tablet was flipped around only to later realize that he was left handed.
I want ask you if it is support Arabic language ?!!
Support
I love your reviews! Could you do one of using notion on the note air 2 plus? Notion is my go-to note taking app, and now that you've confirmed handwriting recognition works well, I'm getting goosebumps imagining using notion on an e ink screen!
Also, you're using gboard for handwriting right?
I really can't understand how/why pepole use non-A4 format devices
Hiya, I do love the larger ones! I think the price is too much for some to justify, and if you are just looking for a note book though you would be happy with A5.
If you want to use split screen you probably want the A4!
Which better air 2 plus or note 5?
Note air 2 plus. I've not tried the note 5, but it's an older design!
It would be perfect if there is a model with 3700mAh and reduced 1mm thickness by removing the backlight layer.
As I learned from the designer's webpage, the backlight adds 1mm. It would be stunning to have a thinnest 4.7mm tablet
* color and magnets?
-> hardly worth a hardware update!
* Google Play?
* Trello?
* Google docs?
* Article mode in reader?
* Voice recognition?
* One Note?
Samsung galaxy note pro 12.2 done it first. .
Hey Kit love your videos and I was just wondering if you installed the gboard through google play in the native app store built into boox or installed it through the google play store?Another eink tablet reviewer (My Deep Guide) has a video about installing the Gboard and explained how there is a difference based on where you install it. ua-cam.com/video/ektTErPe9AI/v-deo.html Although the I'm very interested in the native boox keyboard and I will be excited to try in out when my Note Air 2 Plus arrives. They way it formated your speech into text absolutely blew me away! Thank you for all the comparisons and reviews!
Hiya, yes, it's really good now. I think I installed gBoard from google play, but can't quite remember.
Yeah, the boox keyboard is now really good. Honestly the handwriting input is really something and the voice typing is pretty darn accurate!
