I noticed your channel - skiving info, ortho pliers pattern all great info! I have interior panels (and more) from a tr6 to re-cover and I want to flatten, repair and maybe reinforce them. They are paper or pressboard material. In the course of your work, do you tend to repair them for reuse or cut new ones? I look forward to watching more of your channel as I need reference... regards
Hi I have been watching your videos for two years and want to attempt to replace my own classic car vinyl upholstery. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it so want to get a cheap machine in case I don’t have the ability. In your opinion would a Rex 607 be adequate? Thank you!
It looks like in this video the sewing machine model you own is shown. ua-cam.com/video/R2j_g1NpY_U/v-deo.html If so, it is a double transport sewing machine (walking foot) To the moment, I think it is more than enough to start out doing your upholstery project. There would be some limitations, but they could be overcome with some patience. At least, use a 110=18 needle size. A 120=20 or 130=21 is much better. Thread 92 size, nylon or polyester.
Nothing wrong with making your own stuff. Fine work.
This could also be a tutorial on how to make a prison shank!
