- The Roughriders recorded a novertime victory over the Bombers on Sunday before a sellout Labour Day Classic crowd of 33,350 at Mosaic Stadium. On Winnipeg’s first offensive play in overtime, Zach Collaros connected with Kenny Lawler on a 35-yard touchdown pass. The Riders got the victory when rookie safety Jaxson Ford deflected Collaros’s pass on the two-point convert attempt.

Great game, but that head butt was disturbing.
Possibly that stupid head butt was retaliation for the earlier head butt on the Sask QB? That does not justify it, of course.

When did this mythical 'other butt' happen in the game? I honestly would like to see it in the full game replay.
@@5CatsProbably that Roughing the Passer hit from earlier in the game. Wouldn't call that a headbutt though, and the only reason there was partial contact to the head is because of how bulky the helmets are.
@@danielcook1566 Correct: one was a full speed, in-play accidental contact which was immediately called. The other was a deliberate assault on a guy with a history of concussions, designed to knock him out of the game or at minimum throw him off. It succeeded in the second part.
There is NO comparison between the two plays.
The "head butt" was out guy TACKLING YOU IN THE CHEST, and your QB lowering his head to initiate contact. 100% bushleague call .

Haven't been to the LDC in ages....first time back today ...what a game. As a Rider fan though, Robertson deserves a fine, maybe a suspension for headbutting Colloros.

Typical US player, used to getting away with that shit in college football (Texas Tech). That won't fly in the CFL and he'd better damned well learn that quick.

They most definitely did. They showed the replays during the game. Clearly caught it inside the end zone and in bounds.
Mike O' Shea could have thrown 5 challenge flags today. Didn't throw ONE. Did he ever HAVE a challenge flag?

Huge win for the Riders, they pulled out all the stops. Had to catch the game on CKRM Regina so this great recap was something else.
Hope Jerreth Sterns gets more playing time. In 2021 he was 5th in single season reception yards in the NCAA.

@@5Cats Probably one game suspension, as long as Collaros isn't injured (don't think he was). Had he been injured, then there would be a longer suspension.

If that headbutt had ended Zac's career, or if he somehow managed to play on like he did? It still should have 45 banned from the league for life. There should never be any tolerance for that sort of violence, ever.

I think they said that just for the sake of it, i was in the stadium and it was pretty packed, but yeah there were empty seats scattered everywhere.
You can sell a seat and still have someone not show up. Seats were all sold sold out.

The Bombers were all upset with the head butt on Collaros! The Bomber defense made some dirty hits on the Rider QB also! Quit crying about the head butt!
