I have never switched my plates out either. They look similar to your Jr plates. They still work. I do have a replacement set. I didn't use my Gemini very much the 1st year I got it. I know I don't use my die cutting machines as much as you do LoL. I suspect we use our Gemini's way less than someone who only has a Gemini or Jr as their only machine tho. There's just so so many factors to plates warping. Those card-centric dies are so beautiful. That's a gorgeous card! I didn't get them this time around. I'm not ready for them yet. I think they can stay in the warehouse until I'm ready to start using them 😁Whew! Your G2 has some serious pressure. Your plates are less bowed than 4 Holidays LoL. You know, with plates that big, I try to avoid cutting smack dab in the middle. Always using the middle causes warping faster than anything!
YAY!!! YOU ARE BACK AND ALL IS WELL IN THE WORLD!!! I got the Gemini II as well and did my own review. I am on the same wavelength as you. I am going to be selling my full-size Gemini and likely my Junior as well. I cannot imagine that CC is not going to come up with another smaller one. Who knows. I use the Jennifer McGuire sandwich and after only two cards my plates are bowing as well. I agree with you, the machine is over-engineered. I ran an AG die through it and my Empress and the Gemini marred the cut and warped the paper. I'm planning on playing with the sandwich, maybe Magic Mat? I'll let you know what I turn up! Welcome back! I found that I can use the white plate, paper with die, plastic shim, metal shim and white plate. That is perfect pressure and not too much to even do detailed dies.

Viannnneeyyyy!!! Welcome back! Hope you and your family had fun...at least before the trip home! I figured you needed at least a day to recover! By the way, I did post that Sara said during the last airing of the TS that the foilpress would because of the optical sensor going all the way across. Mine showed up on Friday and the second experiment I did was to verify that the foilpress would work. YAY! Sara also hinted that the 3 USB ports were not only for your tablet/phone, but some other things that are in the works. So, we shall see what is next...
Ohhhh maybe you should have a "here's what Vianney does to minimize plate warping" 😃 maybe people don't think to learn which sandwich is best for their machine? But it's good to know bcuz they're all a little different. That Tonic bundle is so gorgeous 🥰 thanks for linking it!
So happy you’re back! I have this set of dies and your inspiration always brings new ideas. I didn’t get the new machine but I’ve seen a ton of videos on it so far. I agree it has more pressure based on what I’ve seen. Maybe she didn’t want to admit it because she has said since the production of the original machine that no machine going forward would have more pressure.

TY!! I'm not sure by what you mean about the clear plates "not doing anything." They went through well, no problem. One time they didn't get the cut done because my sandwich wasn't thick enough. I think my clear plates are so etched into they have opacity, where brand new clear plates might not work. You know what I mean? Hmmm...
Thanks for sharing! I have never used the metal shim at all with my OG and I plan to do the same with the Gemini II lol, it all started when I got cut by the metal shim once and literally threw it in a drawer😂

Hi! I know you still might be jet-lagged lol, but have you noticed that the stamp and die set Heart Balloon has a misspelled word? It says alway instead of always. Any suggestions on getting a replacement?
