Hi Daniel, always enjoy your videos.👍 Just went on their website to check the price for the painto. It's £14.50. The only problem they want £10.50 to deliver.😮😮😮😮😂😂😂😂😂 If they want to get their foot in on the decorating side in England, then they need to sort their delivery prices out.
@ftocar no mate that delivery price is taking the piss. You get a 10 litre tub of paint cheaper. Like I said with delivery price like that, they will struggle.
Used similar all the time when I was a decorator in Sweden. They use one that you attactch ro a roller pole too. Obviously you still have to cut in the corners .
i came here after seeing the title for a laugh as being a painter with 38yrs exp we always laugh at these mickey mouse gadgets, BUT it works 😂, i did see this previously on another vid & what i like is the continuous roller finish as opposed to brush marks , I'd be more impressed if it was a very dark colour against the ceiling white but il try it mate, sold 👍
Mate I've used it on a few jobs now and it saves me so much time it's a game changer. Leaves a nice sharp line just below the plasterers line. Just touch in the corners and away you go. I've noticed that iconicwalls.co.uk now sell the roller refills and the pink plastic bit containing the brushes
@@danielnugentpainteranddeco557 i bought from there set up account upon seing your vid, 👍 i have always used mini rollers for corners not just speed & easier but as i mentioned continuous roller finish, i use the Axus heavy pile holds loads i can do both corners on one load, you run it off & it's not too heavy a finish orange peel etc, can always dilute to reduce the heavy finish too but never need to, if im mist coating all white you get 100% roller finish & i just cut in different colour to ceiling with brush, if this works with deep colours im very impressed, i was once thinking of paint pens etc as the point finds the line perfectly & is on rails so to speak & was looking at producing with Dulux or whoever, but i never pursued it, it would of just give that perfect line & few mil needed to make cutting in up to so much easier

@@AnthonyToth-t5v painting 30 yrs & tape up to cut in feature wall ? Loads of these type of tools about. I use the starlyf paint edger can take a Hamilton 4 inch sleeve does all edges perfect. Was around £20 from Amazon.
Mate that’s well good I’m not gonna lie took me about 3 years to learn cutting in and I don’t want to forget the skill but you could cut in a ceiling in 10 minutes with that
Great looking tool Daniel. Can you use standard rollers or does one buy from iconic do you know? Re the comment about postage, if you are a professional you will get the cost of your postage back on the first job by the looks of it and tax deductible no doubt!
Mate I've found similar tool on decorating direct. It's called Linomat edge roller and I went to Brewers just now and purchased Hamilton Perfection Midi sleeves in a medium and long pile. Going to trial them next week so we will know the easy way to replace roller only rather than the whole tool. I will do another vid onced sussed
If it makes my life easier. Then why not. I can still cut in but this looks like a great tool. If we stay in the past we wouldn’t even be using rollers. Be brush pairing entire walls.
Just went to Brewers and found Hamilton Perfection Midi Sleeve which is spot on core size. I've brought a medium and a long pile and will trial them out so we will know then that we can replace the roller sleeve without the whole thing replaced. Decorating Direct do them but a different manufacturer It's Linomat edge roller.
Thanks for the swift response Daniel. I've ordered the one you used in the video but look forward to seeing your follow up video. I've used edging tools in the past with varying degrees of success. this seems better than anything I've used before. Some of the other cutting in tools are needlessly complicated or difficult to clean or if you get any paint under the guiding edge, it doesn't end well. Also, with this tool, it looks as though any paint that gets under the edge can be cleaned off "on the go". Your obvious surprise and enthusiasm sold it to me. Happy painting!!@@danielnugentpainteranddeco557
Brought one of these after watching this video to give it a try out of curiosity. To be honest they are absolutely trash and i would not recommend for any professional tradesman. The margin is way too big and can be seen from across the room. Also the brushes on the side leave horrible brush strokes as they are too small and too stiff. the plastic also scratches the ar2 ceiling paint a little. Might be ok for diy but definitely not a professional decorator.
The quality of the clip is too bad to judge it fairly, but on first glance it does not look as presice as my cutting in, And im a DIYer not a professional.
@@danielnugentpainteranddeco557 Yeah, I agree with you about the youngsters. I just hate seeing the art taken out of it, but unfortunately everything has become about time and money.

I use a purdy white dove roller against a long metal spatula.
Looks like this with the brushes may give a tighter margin.

Nice one
would this work under coven that is not perfect?
@@firehorse74 it can but it does leave a slight gap

Does it leave a gap at top of wall that meets ceiling
