I lived 2 years in Japan and what I learned is that the Japanese people make high quality equipment that works very well. This camper is obviously of high quality. Have fun camping with Coupy!
@@lingostarr6635 japan has better quality stuff than the rest of the world, japan has plenty of overnight sleeper trains full of spacious rooms with beds and essentials, dont think the us or the uk has many of those.

I wondered what happened to this channel and all of a sudden there is a new clip out, great! Loved following you and your little camper up in the mountains of Japan. Seems like you done quite some work on your little camper, maybe you can take us through some of the improvements you made?
Nice video, I'm from Sweden where it can be very cold, so for campers we use a insulated cover for the front window, that give a bit extra insulation and prevent ice from building up on the windshield. Another thing that can be good to do is to park the car where you will stay, then move car and shovel the snow to the side, then drive back to the lcered area, then use the snow you movet to cover the sides of the car so no new snow is blowing in under the car, this also create a bit of insulation to, you just need to leave a small hole for the exhaust if you need to run the engine to get power and heat.
Awesome to finally get another video :) Filmed very well, good instruction and commentary! Waiting for another one soon! Wait until he finds out that in the US, we get temperatures during winter close to -30 Celcius or more
To be fair, the US has Alaska and Japan has Hokkaido, both get very cold. Nara isn't anywhere near as far north as either... Then again friggin' Texas has seen -19C before, so I guess it's all relative.
@@InfernosReaper Yeah, I wasnt even thinking about Alaska there. Although I feel like most Japanese arent used to extreme cold temperatures. At least in the sense they like to stay away from them.
@@TheOtherwise1337 I think it's just one of those things about the size of the country. Most of Japan population is in a particular climate, so a place like Okinawa would be too hot compared to what they're used to, while Hokkaido and even the northern tip of Honshu(the island that has Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, etc) would be too cold in the winter. I've been to Japan once, which was in the winter. I found the winter in Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu were all roughly similar to that of states like Mississippi, Tennessee, or Alabama. I kinda want to see what it's the same in the summer... also to see if that Magnolia tree in Ueno Park is still there. Apparently, President Grant gave it to Japan as a gift and it's been thriving in that spot ever sense. That's kinda impressive since that's not exactly a tree known for being robust.
Wait until you find out about Oimjakon, Russia. During winter, there are long period where -50 Celsius is totally normal, and it can get up to -55°C to -60°C. The cars in there are often left running 24/7 to prevent the oil freezing solid. Not even kidding.
You changed the wipers on your camper and left bare arms sitting away from the windscreen whilst preparing to fit the snow blade. Wiper arms are spring loaded and if knocked accidentally, without the blade attached, could spring back into the windscreen which could result in damage to the glass. I've done it myself and I ended up cracking the windscreen. Just thought I'd mention it.
Thank you very much for showing the beautiful countryside and your nice camper. And for giving English subtitles as I apologise for not knowing your language.
Hi. I appreciate the effort you have put into translating into English. In Europe we rightly think of Japan as a hitech nation but I think we fail to realise there are both beautiful and remote places in Japan and that the people are as different as we are. Also 7 beers good! I like your camper, I have a 22-year-old Bilbo Weekender based on a VW T4. Your Kei Camper looks very good and 4x4. Japanese cars (and vans) are excellent. I also have a Honda! I would worry about 660cc and a turbo, but if anyone can do it then it would be the Japanese! Best Regards Thom
This curious, pleasing and detailed manner is pretty entertaining. This small sized Van looks way more appealing and practical than any 7m Road-Train. Looking forward for upcoming videos. Subscribed :)
Thank you for a wonderful video, your excitement was great to see. Your van is fantastic, the racing seat for the driver made me smile, but it is clearly superb in the snow as you demonstrated in the closing shot. As an Englishman I really enjoyed your tour and all the interesting details.

14:45 I don't know who told you to raise your wipers in the snow, but I can assure you that is very bad for the wiper arm springs. One would be better off removing ice from a rubber wiper stuck on a windshield than to leave them up and expose the wiper arm springs, while under tension, to the cold. Replacing Wiper blades is cheaper and easier than replacing wiper arm springs. Otherwise This video is a nice view of Japan that I could never go see myself.
