Hi from Texas! I have a cabin (tiny < 700 sq. ft. ). I drive frequently to Colorado to stay for a week or two. Here are some things that keep me warm in sub 0*F. Just spent 2, two, lol…nights truck camping in the back of my 2006 Four Runner. 1st night down to 27*, 28* F. 2nd night, woke up in Vega, Texas and it was 22*F in the AM. Dog sleeps in the driver’s seat w my big coat over her. I’m in the back watching YT staying warm mostly with my Jackery 500 running an uber cheap electric blanket inside a 40 year old sleeping bag. But I’ve been OK @ sub zero F by using my butane stove intermittently. I built a Bob Wells heat shield w aluminum foil and a coat hanger so I don’t fry. Works fine but this trip I learned: sleep w butane cans in your sleeping bag. They cut off if they get too cold. Sub 0*F is totally doable but you gotta be careful in the mountains where I’m at now…7300. It has remained 10*F ALL day. Glad I made it to my cabin! Snowed 6” last night. No way to do much cooking inside. My rig is 4WD so a small travel trailer is in my future :-)
Wow i can only think of these kind of adventure 😢 by the way in my country these Japaness mini vans are also available so i am making my mind to get one and move towards the Himalayas

Have you noticed the difference in the equipment between where he is and the states? His looks so much more streamlined and easy to use, even the little propane canister’s. And the little lanterns too! There’s another one (I think it may be the same man) called RYU Camping that’s got all this and great scenery of both the mountains and the ocean…

The little rice pot cooker your wife gave is wonderful - both lovely and practical and a nice gift. I have seen you get a lot of use from it!! And can't forget the iron press you use to make sandwiches. Every time you make a tuna melt, it makes me want one!! Also, this is the first time I've seen someone use chopsticks to eat potato chips - very ingenious, not wanting to get the oil and salt on your fingers. I honestly would not have thought of that! Your dinner of chicken and rice and soup looked delicious!! I love the whole set-up you have in the van, and can keep you warm and out of the very cold, blizzard elements. Thank you for taking us along on your adventure - it was fun. I look forward to watching more of your videos, and seeing the serene sites of nature that you visit.
This was a delightful video! I am in Western Massachusetts, USA. Two weeks ago, we also experienced the coldest weather in a very long time. The temperature began to plummet on Friday, and by Saturday morning, it was -18°F. With the wind-chill, it felt like -35°F! Strangely, by Sunday, it was 40°F! It seems that climate change is exposing us to great extremes in weather. Thank you for taking us along with you! The place you chose to park for the night was very beautiful! My suggestion would be that, unless you want to freeze to death, you should get into the driver’s seat and turn on the engine and the car heater to high and go back to wherever you are living. 🥶🥶 PS…you are very lucky to have a snowplow nearby!
