Thank you for this video series. I replaced the fuel pump all by my female self. It was empowering and I felt a huge sense if pride when I was finished. I would never have done it myself if not for these videos. No way was I dropping that gas tank. Thank you!!!
Always good to see those service plates! Wasn't sure if Nissan remembered. Your video we the very first one in the list. Other than my day bracket these broke the cable.... the job went smooth. Good content! Thanks
It does I had one and replaced it just like he did it’s not a big job it’s very simple just make sure you don’t generate any type of spark no joking and have some towels handy 👍🏾
I have a 2007 Nissan Armada. I already ordered the part from rockauto.com. What is the name brand of the part did you purchase that didn’t work? Does it matter the cost of it or model # of the part. I plan to install MYSELF this weekend 😊 you make it look sooooo easy. Thank you in advance for making this video.
My qx56 died while I was driving yesterday. I probably had less than a quarter tank of gas. I believe my fuel pump is bad, but do you think if I put in gas it might start?
Well, that's easy to test by putting gas in it. If that doesn't work, check your fuses first before you consider a pump replacement. Second, get access to the pump area and test for power to the wire connector for the pump to make sure you are getting 12v to the pump on your initial key on. Pumps have relays to prime the fuel system before start up, so you need to have your meter probes ready before keying on as the relay will only show power for a few seconds
It's hard to explain. If I remember, and it's been a while, I used a small screw driver and pressed down on a square top tab. You may need to seat the connector all the way on, then press the tab so it'll rock the locking part away, then while pressed, try and disconnect. Wish I explain it better, sorry. Good luck!
I don't think so since that's a pickup and not an suv. I've changed a pump on a 94 Chevy pickup and the easiest way I found was to unbolt the bed and raise it up on the end where the tank is, propping it up with some 4x4 posts to change the pump. Unless you have access to a car lift and your tank is near empty, unbolting the bed was the easiest way I found to do it. Good luck
Aaron ! Have you guys tried the loaner tool from autozone ? m.autozone.com/loan-a-tools/loaner-fuel-pump-replacement-kit/oem-fuel-pump-replacement-kit/605758_0_0?aqs=
Depending on your year, it's either integrated into your ipdm or removable from what I could find. I would google search and read the forums on this topic.

Good for you! Glad I could help.

Watching your video, part 1&2, I am now empowered to do this myself! Thank you!
You can do it!! Good luck. Thanks for the comment
Thanks you for the video i did what you toldo me and it worked and again thank you

Thank you. This video is just what i needed.
Thank you so much and now I am totally going to change mine
Great vid
Man you are the best great job thank my man
I bought the universal removal tool... fits many cars.
Nissan for the W with having an access panel! Wish the Pathfinder had the same 😢
I had an 05' pathfinder, but never had an issue with the pump, so never looked to see how to replace it. Glad I didn't have to mess with it😄
Thank u help alot
Good video. Well explained thank-you
Thank you
Great video. Very well done. Does an 2004 nissan pathfinder armada have that access panel as well ? I hope.....
I do not know the answer to that, sorry.

Thank you my brother all I needed to see was the access door
So how was the Delphi fuel pump? Does it seem like a good purchase?
@@GhostNinjaTactical it was still operating well when I sold the vehicle last year.
Nice video

Iris Flores Delphi was the brand. I don't know the part number and I don't remember the cost. I think it was under $200. Good luck!

@@dawveed26 thanks! Yeah after I added gas it started up. The fuel gauge was way off. Probably the fuel pump needs to be fixed.
How again do you remove the power clip to the pump? I see you pressed down and pulled it off but it's not working for me.... please advise thanks

The clip is 3/8" universal fitting sold at local parts store $5 for 6... just in case you need it.
Where is the Armada fuel filter located?
In the tank. Filter screen on the pump, doesn't have an external filter.
@@dawveed26 thanks
Is the fuel pump in the same spot in a 2004 infiniti qx56
I don't know the answer to that. I'm sure a quick Google search could answer that question for you. Thanks
Have you heard of the security immobilization system to prevent it from starting? Do you know how to bypass it again. Please.
I don't know how to bypass it. I know what it is, but I'm not real familiar with the system. Sorry
I have a 2011 armada that make a blowing/whistling loa d sound when I come to a stop, did yours make that noise?
Nope, never heard anything like that. Where is the sound coming from?
Did you get any codes with the bad pump?
Richard Maldonado no I did not.
I got codes on mine. The only symptom is sometimes it doesn't start.
mine stalls out around a quarter tank so im gonna change mine since im assumjng at that level theres not enough pressure
How long does this job take?
That depends on your mechanical prowess. It took me two 15 minute videos, so 30ish minutes for me.
did you use oem brand ?
No, couldn't afford it. I used an aftermarket that had the best reviews on Amazon. I don't remember the brand I ended up purchasing.
@@dawveed26 has it lasted with no issues ? thnx
I just sold the vehicle with the same pump I put in on this video, and it was working fine.
will this also apply for a titan 05

I cant take off the daum lock ring what type of screw driver did you use flat head or cross head please help me!
Flat head. Soak that ring in a little wd-40 before you start working it too much. Might have some corrosion holding it tight. Good luck!
@@dawveed26 thanks ill give a go again

I guess you shouldn't be smoking as you do this. I know I should stop smoking as I do car work, but it's a hard habit to break ...

How did you get the seats out??
I folded them out of the way. My Armada has captains chairs in the middle row.
Any insight if you have the bench seat? This this is a ^%#&$*#^#!!!!!!
Do you have a link for the yellow tool you used at 6:40 ?
I don't. Go to autozone online and see if they have it. Fuel line clip tool. Thanks!
dawveed26 cool! Thanks for the info and thanks for posting this vid!
Nice thank you so much for the help I really appreciate it wish I was able to call you to explain something else that's wrong with the gas
I changed mines but its still won't work the pump turns on but won't start up the car
I tested mine by spraying starter fluid in the intake before changing the pump to make sure it was a fuel issue. Try that and see what happens.
Does anybody know where the fuel pump relay is?
Depending on your year, it's either integrated into your ipdm or removable from what I could find. I would google search and read the forums on this topic.
