gorgeous! it's amazing the impact that gardening has on a neighborhood. i had just a dinky raised bed at my apts and it was literally how i met all my neighbors. one year i wasn't going to plant and people freaked out. it was really important to them. people need nature and community in their lives!

REALLY awesome! Learned this kind of stuff in my Sustainable Cities class. I really do think it’s everyday people who can come up with some of the best solutions. I hope to implement something like this in our courtyard this year.

You know how I know your vegan even if you didn't advertise it? Because you are looking at this garden with love and admiration, the same way I do when I go into a plant nursery. Hahah. I want to roll around in plants every time I'm around a garden. 😆 My family is vegan too and avid plant keepers and these walls are going to be in my backyard. Thanks for this video.

They talk about it in a couple places in the video. The dirt in in lining, the dirt is not touching the wood at all and then they have special drainage between the planter boxes and the house for rain and weather.

Good video. I've got unsightly brick wall in my garden, am looking for ideas, may clad in pallet timber or even left over planks from the timber yard, the ones with bark still on to give it really natural look. and will incorporate some mirrors I picked up to reflect light back into the garden. With the wavy edges of the timber yard planks covering the edges of mirrors it should all blend it pretty well. Anyway, good work, and lets continue to make the planet beautiful. haven't seen your other videos yet but what about a video on what I call the 3 B's for the garden, Birds, Butterfly's and Bee's, how to attract them, how to keep them etc., may need to break in to 3 parts, say ten mins each, all the best.

Love your ideas of planting on the outside along your wall so people passing by can see it. I heard you mention chicken coupes for more chickens. Is there a limitation to the quantity of chickens you're allowed? Here in Hawaii, we have a limit, though we did go over.

You might consider using rabbit poop for fertilizing your vertical gardens. Rabbit poop is a "cold" fertilizers as opposed to a "hot" fertilizer like cow, horse, and chicken manure. You don't have to age it before using it. It can go straight from under the hutch to onto the garden. Also, bunnies can be raised quietly in urban areas where chickens are prohitted. Instead of eggs, rabbits are sustainable for meat.
Check out some rabbit farming videos on youtube to learn more.
