gorgeous! it's amazing the impact that gardening has on a neighborhood. i had just a dinky raised bed at my apts and it was literally how i met all my neighbors. one year i wasn't going to plant and people freaked out. it was really important to them. people need nature and community in their lives!
REALLY awesome! Learned this kind of stuff in my Sustainable Cities class. I really do think it’s everyday people who can come up with some of the best solutions. I hope to implement something like this in our courtyard this year.
OMG....I LOVE this video!!! LOVE the design!! LOVE the concept!! LOVE this wonderful energy of giving!!!! I hope his business takes off and changes the world!! Sending incredibly grateful and prosperous thoughts!!

Love the point, The community owns those gardens...They see the changes. In some areas its the only connection that people have to the earth. Great solution to tagging. Interesting way to help people in food deserts Seeds are cheap, hope your idea grows. lol you have a friend in ST John USVI
I, too, was super curious and stopped in and talked with them a couple of years back. They are super awesome but definitely out of my price range. I will have to stick with my handmade planters out of other unique, discarded materials.
Fantastic video Jake, thank you so much for sharing. I am about to move into a house with about a 1/3 acre and I can't wait to add a vertical garden to my front yard. I want to share with others just as this brilliant gentleman did. We need more of this in the world!
When you talk over the top of someone and interrupt their train of thought it's noticeable as a viewer and a little disrespectful to the owner. Other than that thank you for uploading this I learned a lot and got a lot of new ideas.
It was a great interview, he gets passionate about it. Interactive conversation is not talking over one another it's a discussion combined with an informational interview. His posture is his posture that's just how he stands. Never does he seem to augment it.
You know how I know your vegan even if you didn't advertise it? Because you are looking at this garden with love and admiration, the same way I do when I go into a plant nursery. Hahah. I want to roll around in plants every time I'm around a garden. 😆 My family is vegan too and avid plant keepers and these walls are going to be in my backyard. Thanks for this video.
I loved watching this Jake and have sent this link to a friend who is interested in wall gardens in the UK. Fab! Thank you it was really interesting : ))
They talk about it in a couple places in the video. The dirt in in lining, the dirt is not touching the wood at all and then they have special drainage between the planter boxes and the house for rain and weather.
Good video. I've got unsightly brick wall in my garden, am looking for ideas, may clad in pallet timber or even left over planks from the timber yard, the ones with bark still on to give it really natural look. and will incorporate some mirrors I picked up to reflect light back into the garden. With the wavy edges of the timber yard planks covering the edges of mirrors it should all blend it pretty well. Anyway, good work, and lets continue to make the planet beautiful. haven't seen your other videos yet but what about a video on what I call the 3 B's for the garden, Birds, Butterfly's and Bee's, how to attract them, how to keep them etc., may need to break in to 3 parts, say ten mins each, all the best.
Love your ideas of planting on the outside along your wall so people passing by can see it. I heard you mention chicken coupes for more chickens. Is there a limitation to the quantity of chickens you're allowed? Here in Hawaii, we have a limit, though we did go over.
You might consider using rabbit poop for fertilizing your vertical gardens. Rabbit poop is a "cold" fertilizers as opposed to a "hot" fertilizer like cow, horse, and chicken manure. You don't have to age it before using it. It can go straight from under the hutch to onto the garden. Also, bunnies can be raised quietly in urban areas where chickens are prohitted. Instead of eggs, rabbits are sustainable for meat. Check out some rabbit farming videos on youtube to learn more.
We used to live in a neighborhood full of garden growers. We all helped each other sharing garden stakes and materials. We also shared veggies. It was a lot of fun. Folks were from all over, India, Mexico, Middle East. Good food is good food.
Do you have a link to the seed tip video mentioned? when I click on provided link in video it takes me directly to your site Jake. I tried searching your channel site and I still didnt get to it. can you please provide? thank you

what a compassionate man
Wonderful & heartwarming! Way to give back to the community.

+ luke lucy - I had to google your location. Looks like a pretty awesome place to live.
I drive by these several times a week. It's fun to see the seasonal changes.
Finally, a "trickle-down" economy that isn't bullshit!
Blessings to you for sharing the bounty!!! Love the vertical ...aways when you run out of room go up!!

This video had me smiling all the way through. Love it!
I love this living wall garden!!!
Fantastic video Jake, thank you so much for sharing. I am about to move into a house with about a 1/3 acre and I can't wait to add a vertical garden to my front yard. I want to share with others just as this brilliant gentleman did. We need more of this in the world!
I agree!
Love it!! I'd be cautious about eating anything that's growing in such close proximity to traffic though.
What a wonderful creative idea. Good for you!
When you talk over the top of someone and interrupt their train of thought it's noticeable as a viewer and a little disrespectful to the owner. Other than that thank you for uploading this I learned a lot and got a lot of new ideas.
It was uncomfortably noticeable. I hope he's gotten better in the meantime. It feels like the conversation is a contest lol
I told him to check his body language too
It was a great interview, he gets passionate about it. Interactive conversation is not talking over one another it's a discussion combined with an informational interview. His posture is his posture that's just how he stands. Never does he seem to augment it.
I've noticed a few other youtubers seem prone to this. New age media still needs some semblance of courtesy.
Absolutely amazing, thank you so much, can't wait to give this a try.
"When you siphon gas out of your neighbor's car" ??? He said! They could hear my LOL on the moon.
great Idea. I got the perfect place for this, Thanks again!
I love that idea planning on the wall and it's cheaper thanks for giving me the idea ..
Wonderful video, I LOVE the living walls!!! Thank you so much for sharing 🤗🤗🤗🤍🕊🌿
I loved listening to BOTH of these guys love you and your ideas!!!!!

Really enjoyed this one, Jake. Thumbs up!
This is ingenious for sure, and inspirational.
I loved watching this Jake and have sent this link to a friend who is interested in wall gardens in the UK. Fab! Thank you it was really interesting : ))

Universe comes back and conspires and comes to HELP you...... (So True)
Lovely idea of gardening. Wish I can do this in New Jersey.
They're sweet potatoes??.. O oh... That's so sweet what you said about you want people to pick them up
This dude is rad.
wow, absolutely fabulous, thank you very much for sharing it!
creative and beautiful!
beautiful guy and idea, thanks alot for enjoying your passion, inspiring humanity
hmmm, looks like the wall brackets could easily be made with some rebar and flat stock steel and a wire welder... may have to give that a go.
Chocolate mint is good for mint tea, though. I grow it and just put it in filtered water in the fridge over night. So good.
Really good idea. Thanks :)
This is sooooo, soooo cool!!! Are these wall gardens hard to remove and put back up when you need to paint the house?
Nice video Jake Mace👍🏼👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hello there from Tripura. Its my dream to do vertical gardening at my place. Thank for the video.
You give me the new idea in gardening. Thank you
I always wonder how they avoid rotting out their siding on their houses tho?
K Gifford looks like these are on concrete walls
They talk about it in a couple places in the video. The dirt in in lining, the dirt is not touching the wood at all and then they have special drainage between the planter boxes and the house for rain and weather.
Thanks so much. This is so dear to my Heart Loving a Green World.
Amazing idea god bless you.

Minute 9; how do you make that planter? I mean is there any tutorial ? it really suits me, nice idea..

Great video, great ideas. Thanks for share.
wow these are really nice and practical, a very nice idea but they're a bit expensive, I might actually get to build some for cheaper...
I enjoyed the video, but where can I get those fans at the end, especially the first one? They’re beautiful!
thanks for the video. I really want to do a system like this along my house walls, just trying to do so it doesn't damage the house at the same time
I really fancy Jake
i just subscribed great video love the positivity in the video
America needs to make time to do this. Trade things with neighbors. Become not so dependent on Monsanto.

What a nice guy :D Jake, you should get one of those vertical gardens for yourself :D
Excellent idea!
I wonder if I can use upside down stair risers to make my own?
Beautiful.
Great vid, very inspirational and fun. Loved it!
When I've been to the Pheonix area, I have totally missed the awesome food production places. Will need to put these on my list for next time.

Thank you !
Haha great light in winter for growing. Sounds so weird here in Saskatoon!
So cool!
Amazing video ❤️️❤️️❤️️
Imagine if everyone did stuff like this
“Tastes like, ya know, when you used to siphon gas out of your neighbours car when you were young, remember?” ..wha now? err no 😂
Have they taken that bracket to market now that 5 years have passed?
Very cool.
Great stuff.
so got to build one of those using hydroponics
how does he get the boxes to adhere to the wall....these are so cool.
