American Kestrel Release @ Moreau Lake State Park Nature Fest 2022

Cara and Heather released a male and female American Kestrel, North Americas smallest falcon. This was part of Moreau Lake State Parks Nature Fest.
North Country Wild Care is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization formed in April 2001 to assist Wildlife Rehabilitators in their work. Our membership consists of a network of home based Wildlife Rehabilitators and other volunteers located in Schenectady, Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Albany, Rensselaer, Montgomery, Fulton and Essex Counties, New York.
Our eight county area does not have a wildlife rehabilitation center. Home-based wildlife rehabilitation is a demanding undertaking and peer support and training are critical to an individual’s success. North Country Wild Care was organized to provide that support, as well as financial assistance for the various costs associated with rehabilitation such as caging, food and medications, and so on.
